Thanks Cheri, I appreciate the tips!It would be an expense, but I really encourage you guys to consider the dinner and preferred seating package that we (Bubba, V, Ian & I) got for WOC. Our dinner res was 7:10 and we asked for tickets to the second WOC show. If you could get your dinner res a little later it would work out perfect. The first show was 9, second 10:15. I think the second show is better, even though it's later, because the preferred viewing section was not at all crowded, the line for it was small and we didn't have to wait in line as long as the people who just had fast passes for the same color area.
The WOC show is pretty long, over 20 min, maybe 25, so the turn-around is a bit of a crunch. They have to exit the 4000 (the number I've heard) who saw the show, clean up, then let in the next 4000 for the next show. My experience has been that by the time you get to where you're going to watch the show, you have about 20 min. to stand and wait 'till it starts.
Another reason to go for the dining is that it'll save you some big chunks of time that you'd have to spend waiting in line for FPs for it over in CA and waiting in line for the show. (If you just have a FP (not preferred viewing) you have to line up at least an hour before your show starts, maybe more if you want to be at the front of your line (which is a good idea) and you stand the whole time you're in line, plus you stand once you get in the viewing area and during the show--wear comfy shoes!). Since you have a limited amt. of time to see DL, I think it's worth the $$, if you can do it, to "buy" yourself more time to spend there.
The day we saw WOC Ian & I got to DL fairly early, not right at opening, and we were able to get a FP for Space Mt., do the subs, & several things in FL before it got too crowded. We were on the go the whole day, up until we had to go over to CA for dinner, but we saw quite a bit. Ian, Bubba, V, chime in with your perspective on that day. We were really whipped by the end, but we got in a lot!![]()

Now cheer me up and give me a link to the rant you had...
TA? or PC???![]()
Cheri, how do you book the dinner/WOC? Far in advance?
I believe you do it by phone with "Disney Dining" and I'm not sure how far in advance you can do it. Venetia made our reservations.
Just looked it up. Here's the link with info:
http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneys-california-adventure/world-of-color/dining/
I believe that when we were there to check in for our 7:10 dinner there was someone who had just walked in and was getting the dinner package for that night, but I'm not positive.
I've also done the picnic meal. You do get a FP for one of the shows (I think the first, can't remember for sure). Mine was for the red section, which is, from what I can tell, the second-best section. I've been told that with the picnic meal you might get a blue section FP (which is the best section). But within the blue section is the "preferred" section, which is reserved just for people with dining packages, and it's not accessible to those who have just a regular blue FP. Again, this is from what I can tell.
Like I said, if you are in "Blue preferred" you line up in a separate location and I believe we were taken into the viewing area second, after the folks who were in the handicapped section. Then after that they started letting the masses in.
Of course, things could change by next April, as far as line-up procedures, etc.
Oh sweetie, I'm sorry... My thoughts are with you and your family... xxxI'm sure some of you will see it on FB already...

Yes we are!!!Well it wouldn't be the TA, they are far too nice on there.
Hello all
I just wanted to chime in with Cheri about WOC. YES the dinner package is SO worth it. The meal was excellent (as was the company) I chose the 7:10 dinning time as I was told that they would not seat outside on the patio after 7:30 but groups were seated well past that time outside. Just make sure you tel your server that you want the 10:15 show time. I made this request when I made the ADA's but the hostess said we were for the early show. But I said no way and the server said that it we no problem as they had a stack for each show. I know the price seems steep but what you get is well worth it. When we went to get on our line there were just a couple of people/groups ahead of us. And there were benches to sit while we waited. Were able to get right at the rail in the preferred section whichyou really need so you can see the show head on. So just my thoughts. Enjoy if you go.
Marilyn the ressies can be made 60 days out.
Kathe - do you want to do the WOC dinner package? Check it out and let me know.
Anyone else considering doing the WOC on the 25th?

So sorry Michelle....rest assured knowing that everyone who loves him on the other side will be waiting for him to arrive. That helped me when I lost mom. I knew she was going to be with people that she missed and loved. It made it a little easier. Many hugs.![]()
