Yup... it was started by the man who owned one of the Holiday Inn's out on 192... he wanted a place for them to be able to be kids... and they are... the Characters come to them... they have Xmas every week... Sea world and Universal also participate. This way the families can stay together and enjoy the time... they also have medical facilities there...

AND if they want to have ice cream for breakfast... they have a whole ice cream parlor for them. And they also have a life sized Candyland game...

I wasn't born until November, but I know that I was born at 4:00am and I'm a night owl.

Naturally, if John does not feel up to it we will postpone. We have 2 1/2 more weeks so we'll see. He should be much better by then.

Thanks for the website and ticket info Holly. I will definitely do it after you say that you have your passports. Thanks.

That's so cool, especially about the characters coming to them. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I assumed you'd let me know how he's feeling when it gets closer. Still a ways out though. Fingers crossed that he feels fine by then, but of course, we can always pick another weekend to go, not a big deal. :goodvibes

Can't believe I'm up so late. That's the bad effect of my 2 hour nap earlier with Tyler. Off to bed so I can hopefully get up on time for work. :thumbsup2

Oh.....backup plan if John's not feeling up to par by the 27th---I'll take Tyler camping at a Jellystone campground a couple hours from us. And if Toronto still works out, we're going camping next month. I'm NOT a camper, but they have cabins available, so I can deal with that I suppose. Or maybe I'll be brave and get a tent and all the necessary gear, Tyler would get a kick out of that because he's only been camping with his dad. He'd probably laugh at me doing it! ;) But it looks like a cool place, they have a whole schedule of events daily, Yogi Bear makes appearances, there are indoor and outdoor pools, miniature golf, playground, tons of fun stuff. :goodvibes

We're back....John will be fine. No swelling and no bleeding. Thank goodness. He does have a concussion and low blood pressure. The doctor is taking care of the blood pressure, but there is nothing to do for a concussion. He said John could have headaches for a day or a year. So John bought some extra strength Tylenol. He got a doctors note for the rest of the week so he may just take some sick days.

Oh, I'm so pleased!! Though, long term headaches aren't fun. I hope the meds work well and the headaches don't last too long.

I'm worn out tonight. I had to go out of town for a work meeting today. It was just a preview of the new payroll process coming in Oct. I need to go for quite a few days of training in Sept, then I have to make sure my backup understands what to do too. I'll be ready for vacation in Oct...but we go live with the new program the week I return and my success relies on how well all of the dept managers do their new tasks with the program :sad2: I think there will be some long days upon my return! I am definately going to live it up while I can on my trip :dance3:

You WILL be so ready for your trip. Not long now really.

Thank you Kathe.....so nice of you to say.

John and I talked about what we wanted the baby to call us. John is Pops to Tom and Kris. He said he'll keep it the same for the baby. I'm Debbie to Tom and Kris because I didn't want to be called grandma at 34 years old. But this time I think I'll have the little one call me Grams. John said his favorite grandmother was Grammy and I had a Gram. So Grams it is!!! Pops and Grams!!

You will be a private KissoGRAM for John!!!!;) I'm stopping there.:rolleyes1

One of Tyler's friends from school and cub scouts (we've known him since 1st grade) is having surgery on the 27th to remove a mass (one of 8) on his brain stem that is bleeding and causing issues. He had a massive stroke in Kindergarten from the growths, and the bleeding from the current one might cause paralysis (there's info on my FB wall that I posted from his FB page). Make-A-Wish is sending his family to WDW before his surgery (I think they leave on the 13th). When I was reading all this to Tyler, I got to that point and it made me cry because it must not look good for him if MAW is involved. He came to Tyler's birthday party this year and last year and I was amazed at what a polite and smiley kid he is. Every time I see him at scouts I think the same. This is just so sad. I had no idea he had this going on until I saw it shared on FB by the school. :sad1:

Oh, that is so sad and awful for a little lad. I hope all goes well in the surgery. It is such a delicate area.

Here he is.

I will catch up your news as I am going to drop Olivia off to club then going to bank to sort out as the begin of holiday went not very good to start with....

Made me cry too. Especially when it said the surgery won't cure him. I guess it will just save his life for now.

First day back to work is the hardest. Yuck. Hang in there!

Welcome Back Deborah!!!!!!!!! We missed you!!! It sounds like you missed us too!! Aww how sweet. When we were on the boat for John's birthday in January, we were onboard all alone....no thieves. We kept looking for you all, but no one was there. We missed travelling with all of the thieves too.

Well as DEB has told you all, the nice doctor told me that I just scrambled a few brain cells!!! (not that I have many to spare) and I will be OK in a few days! (as well as I ever am) :rotfl2: thank you all for your thoughts and encouragement.

Chell thanks for posting the pics, and I did have a good time (even if every horse I picked ran back wards) :scared1:

and DEB I told you before " I do not lurk I SKULK. " like a good pirate: should

Here's a post that was on the Dream inaugural thread for anyone travelling on the Dream or the Dream maiden voyage.

..Spoke to a few staff onboard who will be joining us on the Dream MV ... 2 of them were Douglas who is Merchandise Manager and Mario who is a head server. Douglas said that the Dream will have 3 shops and they are roughly twice the size of the existing ones. One shop on the MV will exclusively stock MV merchandise so get that money saved .. this is going to hurt!!:scared1:

Kathe, we're going to try to fly in the day before to go to DL just so we can see the World of Color too! :goodvibes So maybe we'll run in to you there. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 That would be great! I'm not sure what the plan is though, I'll be sharing my day with Gydell! Since it's Easter weekend and I'll only have one day for DL, I don't think there will be time for both parks, and I really want to see the original park, I don't think that's where the show is though :confused3

I'm just hanging with Kathe for the day. I've been to both parks before but haven't seen the show,

It would be an expense, but I really encourage you guys to consider the dinner and preferred seating package that we (Bubba, V, Ian & I) got for WOC. Our dinner res was 7:10 and we asked for tickets to the second WOC show. If you could get your dinner res a little later it would work out perfect. The first show was 9, second 10:15. I think the second show is better, even though it's later, because the preferred viewing section was not at all crowded, the line for it was small and we didn't have to wait in line as long as the people who just had fast passes for the same color area.

The WOC show is pretty long, over 20 min, maybe 25, so the turn-around is a bit of a crunch. They have to exit the 4000 (the number I've heard) who saw the show, clean up, then let in the next 4000 for the next show. My experience has been that by the time you get to where you're going to watch the show, you have about 20 min. to stand and wait 'till it starts.

Another reason to go for the dining is that it'll save you some big chunks of time that you'd have to spend waiting in line for FPs for it over in CA and waiting in line for the show. (If you just have a FP (not preferred viewing) you have to line up at least an hour before your show starts, maybe more if you want to be at the front of your line (which is a good idea) and you stand the whole time you're in line, plus you stand once you get in the viewing area and during the show--wear comfy shoes!). Since you have a limited amt. of time to see DL, I think it's worth the $$, if you can do it, to "buy" yourself more time to spend there.

The day we saw WOC Ian & I got to DL fairly early, not right at opening, and we were able to get a FP for Space Mt., do the subs, & several things in FL before it got too crowded. We were on the go the whole day, up until we had to go over to CA for dinner, but we saw quite a bit. Ian, Bubba, V, chime in with your perspective on that day. We were really whipped by the end, but we got in a lot!:thumbsup2

I messaged Tom about it. He's excited and scared. I think he will meet his obligations and finally grow up. I told him he has our support and love. This is probably the best thing that could happen to him.

Rachel is his girlfriend and mother of the baby. I friend requested her on Facebook. I would love to keep in touch and get to know her. We'll see how it goes.

I love Grams and Pops!

Deborah, I had the same thing happen on my first cruise after the WBPC. I kept thinking I would see all the Thieves and I caught myself kind of looking around for everyone! :rotfl:
