don't you have to fly east somewhere along the way??? Ok... so you're going to have to go over NY state... is that close enough??? Unless you have decided to fly the All Canada route... :rolleyes1

East...yes...other than that I don't know...I'll have to ask the pilot ;)

Hi Michelle :yay:

Pashmina

Pashmina shawlPashmina refers to a type of fine cashmere wool and the textiles made from it. The name comes from Pashmineh, made from sajan Persian pashm ("wool"). The wool comes from changthangi or pashmina goat, which is a special breed of goat indigenous to high altitudes of the Himalayas. Pashmina shawls are hand spun, woven and embroidered in Kashmir, and made from fine cashmere fibre.

Yup, that's exactly the one I read. Wikipedia. :thumbsup2

Goodnight Michelle :upsidedow

I's been a very long day. Union meeting this morning was very emotional and then I had to go to work. Of course work was emotional too...everyone was talking about the meeting. I have to get up and go to work in the morning then get home and finish packing so I best be getting to bed!

Like usual???? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It looks like that... but I only paid $5 for mine... :rotfl:
So.........it's a scarf? The info on Wiki basically said it's a kind of fabric. Is yours made into a scarf or a shawl or a wrap or what?

Its like a shawl... lightweight, but good enough for places where the A/c is too much... like for mom on the pc cruise...

So what came of the meeting? Strike or no strike?

Yeah??? Come on... not like I'm going to go and picket in this heat... :rotfl:

 Marilyn! Put on the dress with the jacket and with the stole and take some pictures. Post them here and we will let you know about length!

:lmao: And then, if you don't like our answer, :rotfl:
you can ignore it

:rolleyes1

OK!!!!!:rotfl2:

Have a good trip and try and put the work issues to the back of your mind for a while.

It must be hot out there... nobody's been on since this morning...

Feeling better... took 2 days of meds to get this far...

On the bright side... I got to spend two days of the heat wave in bed with some lovely a/c... :flower3:

Still have a few flowers to get in, but the garden is looking more normal... the yearly experiment is underway to see if we actually get anything out of it... seeing as I spotted the big fat A$$ed bunny the other night... :rotfl:

Oh Marilyn... I forgot to mention...

Alan piped up in the middle of the not tipping thread... he said he didn't tip the HS on the WBPC repo... cause the guy lied to him about not getting copies of the menus...

I wonder who he stiffed...

So what came of the meeting? Strike or no strike?

Over 90% vote for a strike mandate, just a mandate at this point...hopefully the company will show up for the July dates set for talks with the union.

OK!!!!!:rotfl2:

Kathe,

Safe travels & enjoy PEI. ((hugs))

Thanks :goodvibes I am so ready for a relaxing vacation. PEI is beautiful and cottage life there is very peaceful! I'm really looking forward to spending some time with my mom and dad. My mom has been busy planning our days though...just where does SHE get that from ;)

Very hot here too! Glad you're feeling some better  Thank goodness for AC!!! Good luck on your garden!

Packing is finally done! I had to take time to water my plants, but we're only allowed to use a hose/sprinkler every two days here so it took forever with my watering can. If the heat keeps up my garden isn't going to make it until I come home :guilty: Oh well, I'm off anyway! Take care everyone :grouphug:

Kathe, have a great trip!

I would just like to announce to the world that:

I'M GOING TO WIN A BIG PILE OF $$$$$ IN THE LOTTERY TONIGHT!

...there, do you think that will do it?

Instead of announcing it... should we start praying??? :littleangel: :littleangel:

Um.......if the heat had anything to do with it, people would be on here MORE because of staying inside in the A/C! ;)

Glad you're feeling a bit better though. :goodvibes

Another beautiful sunny summer day has come and gone. I walked on my lunch to get out and enjoy it. :goodvibes Headed to bed early so I can work ANOTHER long day! I'm grateful Jan has gone on vacation so that I'm able to work all these extra hours! :thumbsup2

Nan, I miss you  Where are you? Did you have a good July 4th

Shannon, how did your July 1st holiday vacation go  Hope you guys had a wonderful trip. I'm envious! My trip last year to Banff and Jasper was one of my best trips ever!!!

we did thanks had a a bbque with our racing buddy family. didn't go to see fireworks too tired we both worked this weekend- paul has been on a contract with lots of OT in SF which is great but it's over on Friday so back to looking for a real job

It's hot, hot,hot here too Michelle!!!

I'm loving my new car :drive:

Tomorrow morning I have to go to a union meeting before work. It is to vote for a strike mandate :scared1:

This weekend I'm flying to PEI to spend a few days with my parents at their cottage. Our family used to drive to PEI every summer for a vacation. We used to explore somewhere different out East first, then would end up at my parents' cottage for a week :goodvibes Brian and I went the summer after we lost his dad and spread some of his dad's ashes into the ocean where they used to spend hours playing. I haven't been back since. That was 8 yrs ago. My mom just turned 76 , my dad's 75....I decided I had to stop putting off going back or I would regret it someday. So...I have booked and can hardly wait :cool1: Their cottage overlooks the ocean, gulf side of the island . It is so beautiful and peaceful :goodvibes

sounds lovely - have a great vaca :thumbsup2

this makes me think of a funny story (facsinating as Bubba would say)

Our honeymoon was in London and I was sick sick sick -stayed in bed one day for 20 hours straight Paul wander around on his own and a mere 10 years later he found a gift in our closet that he bought for me on our honeymoon - a Pashmina:love:
