Hi Kathe! I'm enjoying relaxing. Went in to work for a few hours today, but just didn't have it in me to stay longer. We were up until 1am setting off our own fireworks after we got home from watching some. I did set the alarm for church, but forgot to turn it on, so we missed it. We didn't get up until 9:30! Tyler's dad picked him up a bit before lunch, so that's when I went in to work for a while. Will try to work all day tomorrow, but it depends on how early I get up because I do plan on sleeping in tomorrow. It's been a while since I've done that!

I think the trip to see the dream might have been part of one of the Adventures by Disney add on's... which were I believe $2300 per person PLUS your cruise fare...

My red dress arrived today and I love it!!! It is a little longer than i thought as you could only see it on an online model, so of course I forgot they are probably 5'11". Anyway, it comes to a few inches above my ankles, or at least the overlay chiffonny bit does. Do you think it would look too long if it isn't actually a long dress? The picture has gone off the website so i guess it is sold out now. I think on the model it came calf length. I would wear high heeled evening sandals, and think I will have to buy some silver ones though the black strappy ones look ok. I will see what my daughter says - John would be rubbish to ask!! It came with a matching generous scarf, so i guess a slole, and I bought the matching chiffonny bolero with bell sleeves too and that looks great.

sounds like ballerina length. Wear it around the house with the jacket and with the stole and those black sandles and see if you feel elegant and like it in various mirrors. Your daughter's opinion is valuable too, but mostly you need to like how it feels !

It is very hot here today... already 92... I should stay indoors and live in the a/c... but I couldn't get any flowers yesterday because the nursery was closed for the 4th... so I'm going today. I spent a bit of time around dinner last night (I was cooking on the grill) planting and fixing up the deck... I miss my garden and will see what will come up as time goes on.

HOPING for a payout next week... so prayers and pixie dust is very much needed right now. I have lots to get done... I'm hoping I can get it done soon!!!

Tomorrow morning I have to go to a union meeting before work. It is to vote for a strike mandate

This weekend I'm flying to PEI to spend a few days with my parents at their cottage. Our family used to drive to PEI every summer for a vacation. We used to explore somewhere different out East first, then would end up at my parents' cottage for a week Brian and I went the summer after we lost his dad and spread some of his dad's ashes into the ocean where they used to spend hours playing. I haven't been back since.That was 8 yrs ago. My mom just turned 76 , my dad's 75....I decided I had to stop putting off going back or I would regret it someday. So...I have booked and can hardly wait Their cottage overlooks the ocean, gulf side of the island . It is so beautiful and peaceful
