Yay! I came home to some pages to read! :yay: Well, only 1, but that's better than none! :goodvibes

Didn't do laundry or any yardwork, but got our grocery shopping done, bought ant spray and weed spray (so I won't have to keep pulling weeds, hopefully), stopped at a pet store for more guinea pig supplies, got 3 summer outfits and a couple extra shirts to mix and match, got 2 shorts outfits for Tyler (forgot he needs summer pajamas), and......I think that's it. Oh, called Marvin too, but only got voicemail. That's it I think.

I have to return a library book on the way to pick Tyler up, and then we'll come home and relax inside. I'm sure he had his fill of sun yesterday at the amusement park/water park, so he won't mind being inside (plus it's close to 90F. Yuck.). Early bedtime for him, then hopefully a beer with Marv if he shows up, then up early tomorrow to head to Lake Michigan if the weather holds for us. :woohoo: I have a goal this summer to take Tyler there at least once a month so he can enjoy what I grew up with. So far, he seems to love the water as much as I do, so I think he'll love it. :cloud9:

Oh....have to clean the guinea pig cage tonight. Then I can relax. Still coughing and nose blowing, but I'm not stuffy anymore, it's all coming out, so I'm on my way to feeling better. Feel about 1/2 way better today. :thumbsup2

So glad you're on your way to feeling better too Holly. I hope you make it to Lake Michigan with Tyler.....especially now that he can swim, he's going to have a great time there.

Ya know, I've been wondering about Marvin and whatever happened with him. I hope he calls you back and you get to go out for a beer later.

Nan, I'm sorry Wilson didn't get the part he wanted, but glad he and Molly both got parts. Small part doesn't matter, it will still be fun for everybody. :thumbsup2 There will be other roles he can try for.

Re racing, bummer about the decision not to go to Nationals, but maybe he'll be back into it mentally next year. :thumbsup2

Deb, I'm glad you have so many trips to plan and look forward too! I'm especially envious about Hershey!!!! Hoping to see pictures! :goodvibes

YEAH.....Hershey next weekend....4 nights. We're only spending one day at the Park in Hershey. We found lots of things to do in Harrisburg.....it's right next to Hershey and it's the state capital. We're doing a Murder Mystery Riverboat Dinner Cruise, we're playing minigolf at City Island Park which is an island in the middle of the Susquehanna River and we'll probably go to a winery.....there are many local to that area. We'll take lots of pics and post them here so check back.

Deb... can I have the chocolate massage? :goodvibes

I asked John if he wanted a spa day....I told him they even have chocolate massages. He chose to skip it, but said that we can go into the restaurants at the Hershey Hotels and have drinks. So we might do some bar hopping looking for chocolate drinks.;):goodvibes;)

John just finished cooking.....pulled pork, chicken breasts, pork chops, potato and macaroni salad, three bean salad, olive and feta cheese salad, pasta and spinach salad and a green tossed salad. We invited the kid to eat with us today and tomorrow since it's a holiday weekend....and we have lots of food. The kid said not to worry, he will finish whatever leftovers we have remaining when we leave next weekend. He'll stay in our house and dog/cat/turtle sit for us while we're gone. ;)

Well, the water temp is only in the high 60s in Lake Michigan right now. Because it's so large, it usually isn't warm enough to swim in until end of June, early July. So we'd just be walking on the pier or through the marina, and of course, going sailing on the tall ship. Rain has gone down to a 60% chance, but still really warm, so I think we'll be OK. I'll call them in the morning before we head out to double check though.

Marvin would be coming over here for a beer because I couldn't go out since I have Tyler with me now. Here's the deal with Marv. I've called him twice (besides today) since our lunch a few weeks ago and never heard back from him. Co-workers were meeting him for lunch recently and invited me, but I told them no and told them he's on my $hit list. He acted so interested, told me we'd go out "soon", told me to call him soon at the end of our lunch, but I haven't heard a peep from him. I told our office manager I'm done and moving on because I can take a hint. She told me "no, don't think that way, it's not like that at all. He told me he wants to get together with you soon, he's just busy and nervous to call." Whatever. He pushed his luck far enough. I don't chase after anybody, but I thought I'd give ONE more try today. I got voicemail when I called, invited him over for a beer after Tyler's in bed, told him I'm bummed about not hearing from him, especially since he told me he wanted to go out, and told him I'm tired of him not returning my calls and this is his last chance, that I don't chase men and it's his loss. :thumbsup2 Kind of harsh, I know, but this is ridiculous. Moving on.

Oooooh....the murder mystery riverboat dinner would be awesome!!!! Can't wait to hear about it all and see pics! :goodvibes

YUMMY!! Tyler had chicken tenders and mac & cheese, I had a bagel thin (not much appetite today). We're both being bad now and eating candy on the couch, he's playing Lego Indiana Jones and I'm on my lap top, I'm at one end of the couch, he's on the other end with his legs on my lap. Lazy and relaxing and indulging. LOL! ;)

Just finished making blue and orange cording for the graduation bear I got for Brian.

Also found out that the graduation dinner is now Wednesday night. 15 people I hear... give or take a few people. http://www.perrysitaliangrille.com/ We are going to Perry's Italian in Clear Lake... it's nice... I've been there before. I've already decided on my fried asparagus and the veal marsala... all on my sister's tab... :thumbsup2

We arrive at about 8:15... I have a dismeet with one of Bendy's Friendies on Wednesday and dinner that night. Graduation is on Thursday and then we go to the lake house for an overnighter on Friday to Sat. night. We have to come home on Sat. night because Brian is going to camp for the summer on Sunday. Then there is a luncheon and movie date with the girls on Sunday to see Sex and the City 2... I will pack up on Monday and come home on Tuesday the 8th to sleep for at least a week.

I have a stopover at Orlando on Tuesday...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Mom has threatened me if I don't make it on the flight to TX.. to not come home.... :scared1:

Busy times coming up, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it all! :goodvibes

Busy day yesterday getting things done in the yard, plus Kaleigh's soccer, and I went and did day 1 of a running program. Sore muscles today and feeling pretty lazy.

Holly - Girl Guides is our version to Girl Scouts. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Marilyn - thanks for the Lost link

Michelle - hope you feel better before your trip.

Deb - congrats on getting the dining reservations you wanted.

Nan - congrats to Molly & Wilson for their Les Mis roles. :thumbsup2

This spring is horrible for pollen, my allergies have been worse than normal. Feeling very croggy today and stiff. going to be an early night.

You tell him Holly!!!:thumbsup2 Silly man.:sad2:

Jackie, and anyone else waiting to make Southwest reservations for Thanksgiving.

Alan just posted that it will be 6/15 when they open(not 6/10 as he originally said). Flights through to 1/7/2011.

Ken doesn't want to hear about that :scared1: I hope my girls are late bloomers, they have enough attitude some days already, I can't imagine what it'll be like when that gets added to the mix.
I got Shaelyn a book about girls bodies, and it was funny to go through that whole section with her. She has no embarassment at all. We pulled out some "supplies" and did some demos with water to show absorption and she thought it was cool. Poor Ken was squirming just hearing about it.:lmao:

I haven't seen any of the alternate endings. That one sounds funny!

I wouldn't be surprised to see something happen in a few years.

Hope you enjoyed your show! Simon is great, sometimes he's a jerk, but I think many of the contestants value his opinion.

I like Simon, yes sometime he is so horrible man but he is clever!!

Oh well Lee won and I like Crystal but my friend said Carrie Underwood sing better than her:sad1:

Oh well it is over now, roll to XFactor... I wonder why Simon left American Idol, what reason? is anyone know? I think reason because he is getting marry in July?

I back from Aberdeen for my ex sister in law 50th party and it was nice to see her family which I have not see for a long times...

Ian is in Spain with Stag party and heard something happen with groom... why men go stupid thing in Stag party!!! I am glad Ian texted me last night that he enjoyed himself... He is coming home very late tonight...

Happy Memorial Day.

For some reason, even though I am subscribed to the thread, I don't receive notice that there are new postings.

I'm in bed sick again. I was running a fever last night. As of this morning my fever was normal.

I can't afford this now. I have to leave for NY on Tuesday afternoon.

What would we do without Alan? :rotfl:

Honey... stay in bed... play games... have Sukie make you some nice tea...

I think you are allergic to NY... ;)

Ian....stay in bed!

And mister...there are postings on this thread every single day! :sad2:

Marilyn, 6/15 is what you had told me most recently.

Well, I've done 3 loads of wash while :surfweb: but must get off the computer and go through piles of mail and pay a few bills. Need to sit down with pencil and paper and re-work my Visa payment schedule and make sure I've got my cruises covered and see if I can squeeze in any weekend getaways. I have a feeling some home repair expenses may put a damper on that possibility.

.

I'm packing too... does anyone care about that???
