Hi Maj... sorry you are under the weather... might I suggest some nice tea and a curl up in bed?

::yes:: but I tired of being in bed :sad2:

guess that means we all just got too carried away having sooooo much fun! I remember having to spend some crazy $$ on the lidocaine spray cuz Tay's shoulders were soooooo bad! :guilty:

feel better Nan:hug:

thanks and remember the laugh we had that the doc didn't bring the sunburn stuff ;)

Hi Kaylee. Lovely to see you even if you missed the ship yesterday!!!:rotfl2:

Hi Nan. Sorry you're poorly again.

Hi Shannon.

Actually yes!!!

There is me fat everything in the foreground!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm fat too - not to be missed - maybe that is what holds us together so tightly :rotfl2:

On a positive note, I learned the the lidocaine spray works much better than the lidocaine gel, so I'm better prepared for the next time I do it!

Nan - feel better!

I think I'll make myself a fun frozen beverage tonight in honour of our cruise!
(actually I've been making virgin strawberry pina coladas anytime the strawberries are a good price for the last month. Shaelyn loves them with strawberry & banana!)

It looks like you all had a nice time on the cruise.

I scheduled my tests for next Monday. I'm getting an xray to see if there is any bone cancer and I'm getting an ultrasound to see if there is any circulation blockage in my leg. The ultrasound is going to be extremely painful. I'll have to take pain meds and bring a washcloth to bite. I'm not looking forward to it, but I know it has to be done.

Ohhh take double...

Exactly. They have to press down to get a clear reading. I had one done a while back before I ever had this wound and I screamed in pain. I have fibromyalgia and if you press anywhere on my legs it hurts a lot. Add to it the edema and the wound and it's going to be very painful. But you know all about pain after having pancreatitus. How do you cope with it? I'm going to bite on a washcloth.

Might I suggest you get a mammogram while you are there? If they are going to have to press to get a clear reading, might as well get the 2 for 1 price...

::yes:: today is the day that Marilyn is supposed to hear. If it doesn't happen, I'll have to give up my dream of a second career as a psychic:goodvibes

Happy Tuesday everybody!

Michelle - I hope you are at least getting some beautiful night skies so you can admire the stars while you can't sleep.:goodvibes

I found out yesterday that I passed the first round of testing that I did in April for the gov't job I applied for. Now I have to go write the accounting test next week, so time to get busy reviewing my school work. :eek:Feeling nervous about this test, as I don't really know what type of questions to expect. But I'll do my best and see where it goes.:goodvibes

Good Job... Quit and become a psychic... Madam Shannon... Seer of all good things Disney...

& I'd love to see some good night stars... but it's below freezing again and I'm staying inside until Spring really comes...

Well, what do you know!!! I had a phone call and have a tentative date for Saturday 22nd!!!:lmao: My surgeon has given up doing general surgical procedures:confused3, so they have had a locum in but he is leaving. They are interviewing for a permanent replacement and hope he will be in place by then. They are trying to get a theatre and the day surgery ward organised for that day(they normally only work weekdays) and the Consultant's secretary has put me to the top of the list for that day. She said they are trying to catch up and it should be that day or around then. I have a friend who is a medical secretary at the hospital and she phoned her about me!!
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

You know sometimes I wish I could translate English to English... :upsidedow

Today is the 25th Anniversary of the Bradford City Fire disaster.

A bad fire started in the stands during a football game at our local big team, 56 people died that day, children and adults.

Our neighbour lost her husband and twin boys Richard and Robert, aged 12. They were in the same school year as our daughter.

The disaster had a huge impact on the city of Bradford and district. It was said that everybody knew someone who died or was seriously burned.

Just thinking about it is upsetting, even now.

I sang in the choir at the memorial service not long after, held in the stadium. So moving.

The local burns unit marvellously treated the many horrifically burned people, and money has continued to be raise at the football stadium over all the years for this unit. They have developed many new ways to treat burns and have become a world centre.

I felt I had to share.

I remember that one... :grouphug:

Stopping by a day late.....as typical with me:rotfl: Boy, I just cannot believe that it was 2 years ago already....and how the friendships and bonds have just lasted. (and that we are on part 17!:goodvibes) It was an amazing trip....and I love how the girls will still talk about certain times on board or friends they have met (despite the rough start...remember Deb sent me the postcards as the final surprise for their xmas present and Taylor was mad because she wanted Smores the Pony not a dumb cruise!:rotfl2:)
Someone posted something about how great it was to turn the corner and see friends....that was the best of this cruise! Loved seeing all our new friends at any given moment.

Castaway Cay was today...and the bad mom I was letting Tay get severely burned :( but she forgave me and now won't fight me about re-applying sunscreen!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! We began our latest adventure with a wonderful MD present....staking out the location of our new home! Yup, we hope to break ground within the month:cool1::banana::cool1: Downsizing a bit so that we can travel more in the future:cool1: ie-MORE cruising!!!!

Miss you all!!!!

Better get that couch ready... there's a whole bunch of us heading to your house after the cruise next year...

On a positive note, I learned the the lidocaine spray works much better than the lidocaine gel, so I'm better prepared for the next time I do it!

I brought the Solaircaine and forgot to use it. :headache:

You should have come with.......I'm just sayin'.....

Are you causin trouble again? :cool2:

Holly - sorry you ended up with a bad headache for Mother's Day. I'm impressed you still did mowing:worship:
I had NO choice because I knew it was supposed to rain every day starting yesterday for a few days and by the time I'd have another chance to mow, it would be too tall to mow easily. It was already hard enough. My neighbor saw me struggling and came over to raise my mower up to a higher setting to make it easier and showed me how the part that shoots out the mowed grass kept getting clogged up because the grass was so long and wet. The mower would quit every few minutes, so I'd have to pull out the clogged stuff. It REALLY SUCKED! :headache:

Happy 2nd Anniversary Thieves....here's some more memories...

I don't even remember that picture being taken of me! ;) I'm SOOOOOO glad Tyler doesn't chew his shirts anymore! That was a disgusting phase.

What great memories.....

Yesterday was a tough and stressful day for John at work. He got the official notice that he is being transferred out of the fire alarm shop and into the hospital. He went to human resources and filed a hardship notification. If he's in the patients' rooms, he could carry any illness that they have and bring it home to me. Since I'm auto immune, I'll get every sickness. In the meantime, John started packing out his desk. He's been in this position for 18 years. Even if they change the transfer from out of the hospital, they will be moving him somewhere else. He may even work second shift so things could really change a lot.

 I'm sorry.....I hope they're able to work out something better for John.

CONGRATULATIONS! :yay: You'll do well on the next part too. :thumbsup2

What a sad story, just awful. Watching the video, it was amazing how quickly the fire grew. :sad2: How terrible for your neighbor to lose her husband and both kids. Such a tragedy.

There was a part in the video covered by a blue box with a message saying it had been edited after some comments from people. I wonder what was taken out. :confused3

Saw the pictures on FaceBook of the location of your future home, CONGRATS! Another beautiful area! :goodvibes

Me either... :rotfl:

LOVE IT!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

What'd you do with my mother??? Oh yeah... that's when she got lost the first day...

I  this picture!!!
Me too! But I sure hate how I missed out on everything....every single gathering. Well, I did get to do the scrapbooking event, and that was fun!

Didn't get home until 8pm tonight.....worked late, then had to go pick up my "Phantom" tickets, then to the pharmacy to pick up a refill, and finally home. Was too tired to eat supper, watched "Lost" and "V", caught up here, and am headed to bed! Loved seeing everybody's pictures! :goodvibes I see 2 of me I need to try to remember to steal. ;)

Nan, sorry you're sick again, hope you feel better soon.

Deb, hoping John gets some good news on the hardship thing and that they can work something out for him.

Sending hugs to all who need them and to everybody else just because every single person on here is AWESOME! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
