Sounds like a pretty shy nervous guy last night Holly. He is probably more comfortable in the work environment at the moment. I think a lot of men are.

Good observation Marilyn, you're probably correct. Poor Marv. Go slow and give him time to come around Holly. ;)
I forgot to mention, Ingrid's boyfriend showed up DRUNK and was an extremely obnoxious moron. I think things would have gone much better if he were a decent guy instead of drunk. So I went into Marvin's office today and told him "That guy was such a jerk, I did NOT enjoy being around him, you had the right idea to take off early, I left soon after". He agreed about the jerk, and told me he was just really tired because his work day started at 6am Wednesday, then was a late night because a whole bunch of us went out after work, then he had a long day yesterday going to Detroit and back, so he was just worn out, but otherwise had a good time. :thumbsup2

So now, I've been advised to just back off and let him soak it all in. Will do.

This sounds very reasonable. I'm sure he was exhausted and having the other guy showing up drunk didn't help matters any. Give him a chance to start the new job and feel confident after a couple of weeks. I think he'll be more receptive then.:goodvibes:goodvibes

Holly,

Sounds like you handled it all very well!!:thumbsup2
I bet it's hard to take things slowly. I'm a take charge kind of gal, myself. After spotting Rich, I waited a year and finally decided if things were going to start, I'ld have to take the lead. We've been married 34 years!

It's those quiet ones, they need a little nudge. ;)

Fingers and toes crossed. They say Boston Rob doesn't even make the jury.

I'm sure Russell will make sure he gets him out quickly. He's already painted a target on his back as far as Russell is concerned. He knows that Rob is his biggest competition so he wants him out quickly.

OH poor John....you ladies will have Marilyn stalking these men for you....while John will be along for the ride.:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Our first land & sea was over President's Day weekend. We were glad to board the ship on Sunday. The parks were so very busy.

We had better weather than you are having now. Sorry

Did you get to meet the Chef? When we dined in Dec, they came with the cart and my first thought was " oh goody, dessert selections!"When she asked us if we wanted to meet the chef, Rich and I were looking around for the Chef.

I think I audibly squealed when she lifted the cover. He was just the cutest thing.

I feel sorry for the poor visitors who have been here this last 2 weeks and going home today or tomorrow - probably mostly Brits, as it has been cold all that time. Warming up from today though.

Yes, we did see Remy. He is cuter than I thought he would be, though I can talk to Mickey etc a lot easier than to Remy!!!! Oh my goodness, I'm glad my non Disneyfied friends can't read what I have just written!!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Maz - can I ask a favor from you for the cruise that you take tomorrow??? Can you check to see if Victor will be on the EBTA? He's working over at Signals. He's from Chile & was 1 of the waiters in the Promenade Lounge on the September cruise.

Holly - keep us informed...it is possible that after this 1st week is over at the new place for Marv things will get better.

Michelle- prayers & PD for everyone.

I loved Victor!!! He made me all manner of champagne cocktails to sample... :cloud9: :lovestruc :goodvibes Mmm, I think I need him to move in here... ::yes::

I'll do my best Monica!!!! In between stalking the Handsome Daniel of course!!!!!:rotfl2:

OH poor John....you ladies will have Marilyn stalking these men for you....while John will be along for the ride.:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

No need to stalk Victor....just want to know if my buddy will be able to take care of me on the EBTA. :lmao:

Marilyn... Might I suggest you bring a nice credit card with you so you can fly home from wherever they put you off the ship for stalking all the CM's... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: John will meet you when the ship docks back in Florida... :thumbsup2

Hi Deb!!

Unfortunately headache is still around...I'm hoping that a good night's sleep :cloud9: will help it go away.

I have NO plans this weekend....other than sleep & :laundy:. I'm so looking forward to NO alarm clock tomorrow!!!

12 days of work in a row is a killer!

Well... we did tell you to take a day off... :sad2:

I found out another little tidbit that TOTALLY explains a lot. He invited a coworker out to lunch today to talk about last night (not sure why I was so worried about it being taboo, he's sure talking to a couple people about it). He said he had a good time! :yay: BUT......it turns out he was "an overweight band geek" , his words, all through school and never had a girlfriend, the one he pined after for years never actually was a girlfriend, so he has no idea how to react and what to do. Yikes. Not sure I'm up for this challenge, but I'm happy to keep in touch as friends and if more eventually comes, it will be an added bonus. :thumbsup2 I'm not writing him off though, just will give him time before I bug him again. ;)

Victor proposed to Monica on our cruise a few weeks ago.............. I'm just saying............:lovestruc AND Victor gives the BEST hugs!

Holly, you've got it right, just sit back and let it unfold. :thumbsup2

...lunch break over...back to work!

.

but Holly... don't write him off...

Ask him to lunch some weekend when Tyler's at his dad's... Then you have time to spend... friendship can sometimes bloom you know... Don't be too pushy... but be friendly...

If for nothing else... you'd get a good friend...

& those nerds back in school???

They run the world right now... ie.. Bill Gates... etc...

Yup, I agree, thanks! :thumbsup2

Just let him know that you had a good time too and that you would love to go for coffee with him sometime. It keeps it more friendly with less "date" pressure. Lunch is good too. Tell him you would love to get together after he settles into his new job. Not too many new things at once for him. Keep it casual but persistent. It sounds like he could be worth it. Is he the energizer bunny? If so, I fully understand his type. He's very focused on work and that's his comfort zone....at least you can relate to him on that level. It's a good start.

Awwwwwwwww how adorable. Victor sounds like a real sweetie. I think John knows him well too. I'll check with him when he gets home tonight.

I hope he is on the EBTA and takes real good care of our Monica again.;)
