And of course there's Snow White's wishing well, which is fun to drop a coin in

Off to do some more vacuuming

POC better at DL I love this ride, will definately have to add this to my wish list!

Vacuuming, that is also on my list...of things Brian needs to do tomorrow since I'm not able at the moment

There are just some differences at POC in DL that make it nice... and you get to see the Blue Bayou restaurant from the ride... and I'm not telling you any more...

I'm supposed to be working tonight, but came home after 3 hours.I hurt my back this morning It's been such a long time since I've had a problem that it took me by surprise! I was just scrubbing the bathroom. I have been going to the gym again for the last few weeks and feeling really proud of myself! I think I must have been putting too much weight on some of the machines . It hasn't hurt while I've been there though...so who knows. I had to go in to work to at least complete payroll, and now I'll have to go in on my day off next week to make up the time, since we have no sick days whatsoever I am thankful for my wonderful staff though, they rallied and stepped up so I could leave early, or I would have been at work until my shift was over at midnight!

Sorry to hear you hurt your back Kathe. I hope it feels better quickly.

Willie just got home from Little League try outs - long day - he is happy he thinks he did well so hopefully he will be high on the pick list and big picture he will be on a team with some of our great friends from last season.

We are out the door soon to special dinner for Molly. She as you remember got straight A's last trimester in school and she also got the Maverick Spirit award (good kid award) 6 out of whole 7th grade class ~230 kids
and she starts her vocal lessons next week (which she has wanted for a few years) and we finally fit it in the budget of time and money. So a nice dinner out to tell and show her that we think she is great.

Willie gets lots of kudos in his life from sports awards, so it's nice once in a while to show Molly that we think her efforts are equally important and special

It will take some planning I guess! When it gets closer I may need some advice on what I should or shouldn't take the time to see! I've been to WDW often in the past few years, so really I just want to see the DL park, and experience any of the rides that are different than at WDW.

We're looking forward to visiting DL after the PC cruise. Tyler told me he can't wait to see how it's different from WDW and told me there are some rides there that aren't at WDW. No idea how he'd know that, but we'll see I guess. He also told me the Pirates of the Caribbean ride is different too, but I sure wouldn't know.

Would it be considered bad form if we brought our Castaway Club beach bag on the Carnival cruise?

I think it would be a GREAT idea! Take a bit of the magic with you so you won't be as homesick from DCL.

I have to impart that HJ looks nice but it is RIGHT next to the freeway and noisy as heck. I think it didn't bother Ian and Sukie since they live under the L. But I couldn't stay there and sleep at night. There are 2 Best Westerns on the same street (same price range) that I've been at and they are good to go from the not as much noise place. Also, the Sheraton and the Hyatt are close (shuttle) and you can get great rates on them too V gets the great rates at the Sheaton I think on Priceline

My original intention was to move it to 2011 or 2012 but I've gone and booked Oct16/2010 Not positive yet whether I can keep this date but I'm hoping I would like to stay at wdw one day before and 2 days after the cruise...we'll see

Hi Kathe!!! Like I said earlier, we're there until October 27th so maybe we can say hello once your cruise is over...

My favourite time of the year at WDW is late April(any time after Easter)-early May. Not too humid yet, little rain, nice and warm! I love the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot this time of year too. I also like Oct (Wine and Food festival )The Halloween party at MK is lots of fun! It is usually not quite as humid as in June-Sept, but this isn't always the case. It is still hurricane season and I did meet up with Wilma a few years back My third favourite time is early December, I love the Christmas decorations in the parks and at the resorts and the party at MK. The weather can be a little cool sometimes though. I have enough cold weather here during the winter that I don't like the chance of cool weather at WDW in Dec-Feb. I wouldn't go during a holliday week either!

Totally agree!!! The weather's perfect and I love both of those EPCOT festivals... I'm trying early June with a girlfriend this year and I'm just hoping it's OK...

I've got a question for you...I'm thinking of visiting DL before the LA to Vancouver repo but that would mean going on Easter weekend, the Monday actually Should I try this? Will it be a zoo? I have never been and this might be my only chance to see it. Would you give it a try

Richard and I are going to DL before the Repo - I'm hoping to book using DVC points and stay at GCV... I think it would be worth it, Kathe. We went to DL for NYE 2005 and even tho' the park was heaving, the atmosphere was great. We loved it... DL is my absolute fave park of all (I think it's because it was the original) and am planning to be there for my 50th in June 2013.

Us too... Mom will need a day or two after traveling cross country to rest... I don't care if I ride anything... I'd just like to go and wander around and see what's going on at DL... we were there last time on Memorial Day weekend and if it's that crowded then it's not THAT bad... but I won't be upset to sit and soak up the sun on the really nice loungers by the pool at the Grand Cal...

Kathe.. if I'm there you can come and hang out at the pool with me... we can watch all the crazy people come back from the park while we drink fruity drinks...

OMG!!!! I feel for you, I really do!!! My lovely Grandfather used to boil tripe in milk and the smell... Only thing worse was when he boiled a pig's head to make some disgusting pressed meat affair called "Brawn"...

I just Febreezed the house...

Now it smells like Febreeze and tripe...

It just gets worse...

Thanks Holly Day two I had to call in to work to say I couldn't make it again today. Now I have a day and a half to make up, but it can't be helped

Would be great if we could meet up! You are going home on the 20th? That means it would have to be on the 15th as I sail on the 16th. Will have to see as it gets closer. Seems like a long way off, yet this is the first cruise I've booked with less than a year to plan!

Good Morning Friends! It looks like some of us will be able to meet up while in WDW this year....even though we won't be cruising together for a while. It's always good to see everybody.

I'm excited about the football games later today. The Colts v. the Jets in the early game....3:00 pm EST. Then the later game.....6:30 pm EST....is the Saints v. the Vikings. I like all four teams so I'm sure it's going to be great to see the best of the best play each other. GO TEAMS!

Hi Kathe. How's the back today? Is it sciatica? If so, a back support pillow and anti-inflamatories seem to work well for me when it flares up. It's extremely painful. I hope it goes away soon.

John says we have kitty consierge in our house. Whatever Ella wants, Ella gets. I said she should have been named Lola.

I brought an electric blanket back with me from my FL visit....I know how strange that sounds....but it was colder in FL than it was in PA when I was there and all my frigid weather clothing was in PA. Add to that the fact that the hotel room barely had heat....we were freezing. We bought sweatshirts in size 3X because that's all that was on the shelves and we bought an electric blanket.

I love the electric blanket and have been using it at home since we got back. Ella LOVES the heat. I'm sitting on the couch with the blanket over my lap. Ella wants to get under the blanket and sleep at my feet. So she claws at me and the blanket until I let her under. And I always let her under. John says we have kitty concierge at our house. We exist to accommodate Ella.

Well, I like to get those dates in the diary EARLY!!! The not-so-vague plan is to spend a week in DL celebrating not only my half century BUT also that of the Enchanted Tiki Room!!! I was born on June 22nd 1963 and the Tiki Rooms opened the following day so I always think of it as my personal Disney attraction... I'm then hoping to fly to Hawaii from LA for at least a week of sun and sand in the new DVC resort...

I believe it is said that dogs have owners but cats have staff!!! Sound like it's true!!!
