DA 16-50 F2.8 (I had to ask him because I can never remember)
But now he's decided he's not sure if he wants it.

The Disney museum sounds interesting:thumbsup2

And I'm hurt because I sent Ken an email and he never responded :-(

But you can tell him I want the SMC DA 50mm F/1.4

Not really ready for today....wish I was back in bed :rotfl2:

That's how I feel on many work days :lmao:

Here to report in that I've stopped sneezing and blowing!

:thumbsup2 just in time to head off on vacation :)

He hasn't been checking email very regularly, so I'll bug him on your behalf. (I'll take any reason to bug him ;) in a loving manner, of course ;) )
And the lens descriptions mean nothing to me  but I'm sure he'll be interested. :goodvibes

sorry. Not sure what e-mail address you sent it to. I have one or two that I never check anymore or at least very sporatically. Most people seem to contact me via work or facebook lately.

If you really need to get a hold of me my work one is the best. kenn AT koparadmin.ca

So what was your question?

And I love my SMC FA 50mm f/1.4 for portraits and night shots but I have to be careful as for portraits you need a lot of room between you and the "victim".

Hi everybody! Why do I procrastinate so much? LOL.

Because being lazy is so much fun!!! ;)

Did I ever post that I went to the Walt Disney Family Museum when I was in No. CA last month? It was really interesting! I allowed myself over 2 hrs. and didn't even make it half way through. I also saw a special movie in the theater downstairs about Christmas with the Disney family and at Disneyland. I know for sure I want to go there again; I hope I don't have to wait 'till we're there on the cruise!

It's high on my list of things to see in SF... along with Ghiardelli and Pier 39... and a couple of cable cars... and some dungenous crab... and of course an Irish coffee at the Buena Vista... :cloud9:

My printer ran out of ink (still need to print out my door magnets...does anyone know where I can get color prints made from pic in an email?)....got a lovely (major sarcasm) virus on my laptop...not a good technology weekend. I was able to check my emails & the DIS from my phone :)

save the pics to your computer... then you can print them out or you can upload them to any place that prints pics out (cvs, walmart, etc..) :flower3:

so I guess you should just keep backing away from my dessert plate at the buffet before you take a picture of it??? (before you try to steal from it...) (but I'm warning you... I hear that Jackie and Cherie and a few others will be stalking any and all chocolate covered strawberries this time...)

That's why I have a macro lens so I can get good a close to the subject too... ;)

Do you prefer messages in Facebook now to regular emails? I have 2 different email addresses for you, you should email me and let me know what you're not checking anymore.

Hve you killed all the bad guys yet??? Come on... it's lunch time... you should have at least 1/2 of them gone y now...

So have you named your blog yet?

Deborah.. I have a TON of unfinished projects... they are called UFO's... for Unfinished objects...

I also have more charts and supplies than I could ever stitch in a lifetime... in the stitching game... that's called life insurance... :rotfl2: (although I may start selling someon ebay...)

Oh - we're supposed to finish projects :lmao: that's the part I always forget :lmao:

The Olympic torch relay will be coming through our town on Jan 29th.
Shaelyn is very excited that she's part of the kids choir that will be singing the national anthem at our town's torch ceremony. I'll be burning up a half day of vacation to go watch the ceremony:goodvibes
That's very cool! :goodvibes
Speaking of your national anthem, I was singing it in the car for Tyler one day recently and he thought I was nuts! :rotfl:

Facebook or my work e-mail. As I am the IT department i won't get into trouble for non-work related e-mails... ;)

Also, I do everything on my laptop and my laptop has my work e-mail on it.

ksnewell at shaw.ca has basically turned into my junk e-mail account and I never check it.

ken.newell at shaw.ca is on my desktop and my girls are on that one more than I am to check it.

I am not getting any other lenses right now, not until he learns how to use the camera. Also lenses are a bit of a shock! I never realized how much they cost, as much if not more than the camera!

It was a bit unexpected. I had only intended to go shopping and hadn't thought I'd be buying anything.

The difference with buying a DSLR versus a point shoot is that you aren't buying just a "camera". You are actually buying into a "system". So now that you have the base "system" you can now expand that system to do more and other things. Each lens you buy can expand your system.

Think of like buying a mac or apple computer. You are buying into a system. You get the base components that will allow you later on to get the airport, timecapsule, etc.

The difference being is that the camera itself doesn't really do much, it is the lens that dictates what the camera can do. Thus more energy (and thus $$) goes into the lens. And because it is a niche market the smaller the market for the lens' capabilities, the larger the price. The more you want the lens to do, the bigger the price tag.

The lens I am looking has a pricetag of about $1000 CDN. So it is something I have to seriously be sure about. And lately I've been reading some negative things about it, making me second guess it. But I haven't found anything that is comparable for what I want it do yet.

The one issue I have had with the Pentax line is that lenses aren't that readily available to me here in northern BC. I practically have to order everything I want for it (Speedlight, grip and lenses). There is something to be said about being able to see the lens on the camera feel its heft. So it just means I have to do that much more research.
