you actually like Peeps??? My kids won't even eat them.
Ooooooh! Tyler and I love, love, love Peeps! We love anything marshmallow, even eating marshmallows right out of the bag. And I really love microwaving Peeps just to watch them get HUGE! ;) (I don't eat them microwaved, that's just for playing).

wow it look cool... but wonder if you will get it for Xmas times - Snowing??

I got a bit upset today and visited old lady as she got home from hospital she is very old... and she told me that all her family gone, only neice and nephew left... I spend chat with her for 10 mins and went away I started sob sob...

then I came home I received a xmas card from my late mum best friend to tell me that her husband had the bowel cancer (same as my late dad)... I get more upset and I texted my brother today....

I think I get more emotional now as this sat will be 30 years since my mum died...

Should Xmas happy period month? I should be happy for Xmas but find hard this week... I will be fine next week....

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: I'm sorry it is such a stressful and sad time for you. As you say, next week will be better :grouphug:

So I see that Jackie has let the cat out of the bag....yep we're going on a cruise - 7 nt western end of January. This takes place of the one I had booked for the 30th of October. Of course now I want to book another one for after the new show comes out on the Magic :lmao:

Kathe -:hug::hug::hug: for everything that you're going through right now. Remember your brother is in a better place now & without his demons. Keep looking at Serenity to put a smile on your face :hug:

Monica, I'm so excited for you and Jackie and Cheri :cool1: Envious...but excited for you all!

Thank you for the hugs

We put our tree up on Sunday, and Serenity came back to us yesterday. She ran to the tree and kept saying wow! Then she kept looking at the decorations saying thank you :cutie: She was trying to hug each one she could reach :cutie::laughing:

off to work at client site (the contract gig) and WHO is going to tend to my farm. I have jam to put away (and more fruit to jam) wheat to flour or feed my sheeps and the bunnies they need their carrots. I've collected the clover so the cows are set, but heavens those chickens will have to wait their feed isn't yet ready.

and I need more NEIGHBORS to level up

People HELP ME!!!!

 You have no time for another job Nan!

How exciting for Mollie to have a new villians role :thumbsup2 Tell her congrats! Looking forward to hearing reviews!

BRIAN GOT INTO BAYLOR!!!!

Yay, congrats to Brian :thumbsup2

Migraine today

no suprise, with work comes bad eating habits (read not eating) and comes the migraines :sad2: just had breakfast for dinner, miss molly cooked it was fab. love that girl. she makes a good momma for this family when I'm MIA.

the interview was ok, not sure that I'm keen on the company. I don't have enough info to decide if it's worthwhile or not. I have another interview next week for a small bookkeeping contract. I guess I'm leaning more towards just rampping back up my own self-employment as it seems like stuff is coming forward that way for me.

 Hope you feel better soon. Glad Molly is taking care of you

I finally went Xmas shopping today. Spent 9 hrs out in the malls...and I am not even almost finished my shopping yet :sad2:

Deb and Michelle,
I'm sorry....I just am not getting into sending Christmas cards this year...actually that makes two years in a row :guilty::guilty:

Don't feel guilty! Let others have the joy of sending holiday wishes to you :goodvibes with no requirement to send them. The whole point of Christmas cards if enjoyment, if its not enjoyable to give them, don't :goodvibes

Yup... Kathe... that's why you need to send me your address so I can get it out to those who are sending... no guilt... it went well last year and was cheerful to those in need...

Someone posted this over on Bendy's thread... so blame them... :lmao:

Eating Tips for the Holidays.

1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday
buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see
carrots, leave immediately. Go next door where they're serving rum
balls.

2. Drink as much eggnog as you can and quickly. You can't find
it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has
10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into
an 'eggnog-aholic' or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it! Have one for
me. Have two. It's later than you think.

3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole
point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a
volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the
volcano. Repeat.

4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim
milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a
sports car with an automatic transmission.

5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to
control your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is
to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello!?!?

6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and
New Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to
do. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling
the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of
eggnog.

7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table,
like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position
yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before
becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of
shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.

8. Same for pies. Apple, pumpkin and mincemeat - have a slice
of each. Or, if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one
pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one
dessert -- Labor Day?

9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the
mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have
some standards.

10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the
party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention.
Reread tips: Start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner.

Happy Holidays!
.

Haha Michelle!!!

I'm sure you are correct that the stress of not knowing what is wrong makes symptoms worse and having a diagnosis helps. I really hope this time you can get pain free!!!!

Deb and Michelle,
I'm sorry....I just am not getting into sending Christmas cards this year...actually that makes two years in a row :guilty::guilty:

But are you into receiving them? We have people on our list that we send to but they don't send back. That's fine. We want to send them. Please be a part of the receiving group and let Michelle know your address.;);)

Good Morning Marilyn, how are you feeling today? Hopefully a little better.

Michelle, nerve pain is the worst pain. Hugs to you until you can get to PT to work it out. You're right though, half the battle is knowing why it's happening. You're on your way.

Kathe, Serenity sounds like this Christmas is going to be so much fun with her at this age. Enjoy! ....and give us your address so you can show Serenity all the cards from your crazy diser friends.

Shannon, are the girls getting ready for Christmas. It's only two weeks until Santa comes. Have they done their lists yet?

Nan, things happen for reasons. Whatever work is coming your way is a good thing. Just go with the flow and be thankful. At least this schedule lets you be flexible so you can take care of your family first. I agree that being mom is the most important priority and that should not change. You have great kids and that's because you have always been a strong presence in their lives. It makes all the difference. Considering how great Molly and Wil are, you and Paul must be doing something right....so just keep doing it.

Ian, sorry for the overwhelming stress your job is putting upon you right now. Hopefully, it's only temporary and will ease up very soon.

Hi Deborah, I hope today is a little bit of a better day for you. Do something nice to honor your mom....play her favorite music or cook her favorite meal....it will make you feel closer to her. Hugs.

Monica, Jackie and Cheri....a 7 night western in January....I'm so jealous. I wish I could jump off my boat and join you on yours. I know you'll have a fun and relaxing cruise. Have you picked any excursions yet? Let us know what you plan to do. I've only done a western once but I would love to do it again. Have fun!

Monica, can't wait to see you in 4 weeks. Fishlips outside upstairs at 4pm on Sat. 1/9. YEAH!!!!

Holly, I hope you get some snow very soon and get rid of those mice once and for all.

Kaz, I hope you enjoyed the concert. It's such a great way to kick off the holiday season.

Hi to everyone. I have recorded a lot of Mickey Christmas shows....I'm playing them all today as I write out my cards. We only have two weeks until Christmas. It's time to get this show moving. Writing cards, wrapping presents and putting up the tree. We're cutting the tree down this weekend. I'll post pics. Ho-Ho-Ho!

Hi Deb. How's the leg?

I'm still feeling blah but it can't last forever!! Thanks for asking.

Hi Deb. How's the leg?

I'm still feeling blah but it can't last forever!! Thanks for asking.

Hi Marilyn, sorry you're so poorly still. It has been a while now it should be leaving any day now....hopefully.

The leg is a full time job to keep it under control....soaking in Epsom salt everyday for 30-45 minutes, cleaning with iodine while soaking....at least three or four times, wrapping the leg repeatedly during the day because it weeps so much....more than any other infection did, then we do the exercise bike a couple of miles a day to keep the circulation going, then we elevate and use the leg pump for an hour a day. It's a full time job. But we're doing everything right and it's working. I started seeing some blood on the pads when I take them off....just a little bit. It made me nervous because that never happened before. The doctors office told me that's a great sign because it means that there are healthy tissues underneath. So I think it's taking long, but it's definitely improving.

What a saga....this leg of mine. It sounds like your new construction at home. I'm so glad that's behind you now and the jury duty too. You have had quite a busy time lately. No wonder you caught yourself a nasty cold. You need to pamper and take care now. Naturally, it's the Christmas season and that's a little hard to do. Just do your best and remember to take a little time out for you!:rolleyes::angel:

Thanks Deb.

Are you still spending time lying on your front?

No. I'm being bad. I'm lying down at night when I sleep and for an hour when I use the leg pump. I stopped lying down during the daytime because there is much to do and I hate being confined. I just can't do it. So I have learned to double wrap the leg with 2 Pads low on the ankle and I can get away with 2-3 changes a day. At least I can do it myself now and don't have to depend on John. It's progress.:cutie:

This is adorable! :goodvibes

Holly, I hope you get some snow very soon and get rid of those mice once and for all.
We finally have snow, thanks! Only about 2 inches, but enough to cover everything and look beautiful! :goodvibes

Mice....I had to do a body retrieval on Monday. It was a HORRIBLE smell, almost made me throw up. The trap was sprung, peanut butter in the trap was all gone, and he was lying a few inches from the trap. Strange....but I managed to remove him without throwing up....just barely. I then drove down to a nearby car wash to throw the bag away because I didn't want it in my garbage at home. ;)

Progress is good, Deb! Keep up the good work! Hopefully this time your leg will clear up quicker than usual.

We have a co-worker who is SOOOOOOO sick. I'm not mentioning this on FB because she's one of my FB friends. She's been sick for 2 weeks and it keeps getting worse. If it were just a cold, she'd be starting to get slightly better, I'd imagine. Horrible throat pain, cough, very hoarse voice, but no fever. I sit closest to her and hope I don't get it. Can't afford to be sick for 2 weeks. She's irritated about people "being rude" about not wanting to get near her, but for Pete's sake, the rest of us don't want to get sick too! I just cringe whenever she walks past me because she sounds awful. Yucky.

It is so difficult when you are sick but have to turn in for work. Two of the girls on jury service were dental nurses and one had a bad cold and had to go into work the day after we finished. She said the daft thing is they are so strong on cross infection there of course but they say they have to go in and work. No sick pay where they work either.
