You could have your own little halloween party and if any of your neighbors would like to help... you could get some small gifts (stickers, etc) that she could collect and get in a few trick or treats... (raisins are good too at that age...)

Nice idea , thanks Michelle. I think I have a plan now. A friend of mine has invited us to go over to her house. Her eldest is going out alone with friends for the first time, and her youngest is very upset her brother won't be going out with her and her mom, so we're going to use Serenity as a diversion ;) Hopefully we can at least make it around the block with her (I'll take the stroller in case) and then they can play together afterwards. Her daughter is 5 yrs older but loves little ones :cutie:

Kathe - great pics, and sorry you & Brian got sick.

I'm happy that my workplace has finally announced the schedule changes, and that so far, I'm not directly affected. I've lost my Christmas bonus for the last couple of years, but the hourly employees are now getting their hours cut back and will all be losing about $10,000/yr off their salaries since the plant is moving to a reduced schedule. And there's a few positions that will be lost. Overall it makes for a tense workplace this week. And makes me happy to be in the job I'm in since I'm safe.:sad2:

Thanks Shannon, we're both better now :thumbsup2
Sorry there's so much tension at work, but I'm glad you have some security. I went through this last year, but didn't fare so well. One thing I do like though, is only working 5 instead of 6 days a week.

Kathe ya feeling better???

Yup, much better thanks, how about Molly?

It's that time already??? :yay::yay::yay: :dance3::dance3::dance3:

mine's leveled out at a sore throat and a headache...little bit in the ears... mom keeps checking to see if I'm going to die or something... So much for this Heine flu... ;)

How about you Michelle? Feeling some better?

I think it's just a bad cold coming on. My head is really stuffed and I'm congested. I feel like I have a lump in my throat when I swallow. I'm getting something. As long as it's not the flu, which is supposed to come on suddenly and this did not so I think I'm fine. That's good. But it's in the head, throat and chest. Yuck!

I need chocolate pudding. Fortunately I have some and points available. That will make me feel better. It always does when I'm sick.

Oh no, not you now :headache: Hope you feel better soon

Hope you feel better soon!

Hope everyone else that is feeling poorly gets to feeling better soon too!

Gydell, how is your friend doing? Has he had surgery yet?

Today I was down another 2 pounds at weigh in, but more importantly I hit 40 pounds lost since starting in May or in five months. I'm very happy.

I also did my first 10 straight minutes on my exercise bike for a distance of 1.35 miles and 160 calories burned. WOOHOO! That's a first in about 8 years.

I have to be careful though. I only did legs today. My arms were in a lot of pain for the past 2 days and it wasn't the good muscle pain from working out. It was the hurt pain from illnesses. So I gave the arms a rest and we'll see how the legs feel tomorrow. But it's progress.

I realized that John had the tension set higher than I need it to be on the bike. So when I tried it the first time and thought I was going to die...I actually was. I have since set it much lower for me to start and it's fine now. What a relief.

WOW! This is all great! WAY TO GO!!!!!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

Whitmans has little bags of candy with WW points, or if John can get to a place with a WW meeting there is a fantastic assortment of 1 point mini-bars that are great:

- Peanut Butter Bliss
- Dark Chocolate Raspberry
- Chocolate Caramel
- Cookies and Cream
- Red Velvet
- Chocolate Mint

Each just 1 point each.

Ooooh......I'm going to go look for those! :goodvibes

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 CONGRATS DEB......YOU ROCK! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

:woohoo:Bubba & V.....enjoy your vacation! :woohoo:
Loved the text message. Let's talk Disneyland when you get back.

Everyone else.....GET HEALTHY!

Sounds like several of us had a trying week this week. I for one, am so glad it is Friday and PAYDAY. Next week will still be hectic for me at work, but some of it due to fun stuff. We're having a pumpking carving contest (four teams). I designed the pattern for our three pumpkins and hopefully they won't be too difficult to execute...we'll see.......

Last night was the worst, but I think it's finally broken... I didn't want to go to the Dr. because I was afraid of getting sicker!!! The regular flu vaccines have run out in my area... I have to wait for the next shipment... mom got hers but I wasn't feeling good the day they were doing them.

Congrats to you too Michelle, I didn't know you were losing too! :yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:

:ssst::ssst::ssst::ssst:

Be vewy vewy qwiet...

I started Oct 1st... (doing online) had a few secret :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: from here who shall remain anonymos... I was going to give myself the first month to tell even Ian (Sorry love... one of my :littleangel: told me to cough it up earlier...I didn't want to disappoint you) I tried last year about the time my dad got sick (with GREAT inspiration from Ian...) but I crashed with alot of the stress I was going through... I just wanted to get through the "I'd like to gnaw your arm off" kind of hunger and see if I could actually do it before openly joining in...

3 weeks... 7 lbs... & I've even made it through a few dinners out and my reunion... (and I hear most people's arms are safe to be around now...)

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 CONGRATS DEB......YOU ROCK! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Marilyn, how is it that you're still up at this hour? Can't sleep again?

Just a late evening Deb. Jet lag is getting better now.

(7 for me...)

Well done to you too!!!:cool1:

Good Morning

I am back:lovestruc

My family and I went down to England at Norwich and stayed for 4 nights with my friend and their two lovely daughters...

Our Kids enjoyed themselves and Olivia's Birthday last Monday and they gave her a lovely football birthday cake...(we didn't told them until Olivia told them it was her birthday...

Olivia's birthday always on school holiday every year...

I drove down for 4 hours then changed Ian drove down another 3 hours :scared1: We left the house at 6.30 am and arrived about 3 pm after three stops for break...

Then we left last Thursday morning and drove up to York for one night... Kids love it...We walked around and we showed them Betty Cafe which is old fashion style... but we didn't go in as we think too expensive for 4 of us:scared1: We went to italian restaurant which was special offer which was nice... then walked to old town... Kids love it..

Yesterday morning we went up to castle and poor Keith that he got scared for height... I thought it was so funny to see his act. As he managed to get top to view but he still hold the railing or us...:scared1:

After that we drove up to see Ian's sister at Sunderland for cup of tea and sandwiches... then drove home last night to Scotland as it was raining, wet, and cold:sad2:

will put photos later..

Today I am still tired...

Hey, that was a good idea!!!

Michelle, congrats on getting back on 'plan'. :thumbsup2 I've had a terrible time since coming home from vacation. I did get groceries in the house about two weeks ago, but ended up throwing out all the 'greens'. Did eat all the regular veggies though, but still, too many quick/cheap meals out. Last night driving home from work I was having trouble remembering when I last ate an entirely home cooked dinner. :sad2:

Deborah, your trip sounds fun, wish I could have joined you for the day in York. I still have very vivid memories of my visit there 30 years ago!

HEY KIDS....TWO WEEKS TILL MY SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNTS GO INTO AFFECT! :lmao::lmao::lmao:I am so looking forward to going to the movies for only $5-6.50....WOOO HOOOO!

We still don't know what's going on here for Thanksgiving. Peg might head to North Carolina, so Jose and I will be on our own. I'm thinking we'll just do our favorite things...play on the computer and watch SciFi! I'm going to assign myself a project of SHREDDING. Tons of old files and bills to go through and it's a job I can do sitting down! :upsidedow

Have a good weekend everybody!

Shannon & Ken, saw this on the picture of the day thread and thought of you and the girls.

Your kayaks are waiting....................

Thanks Jackie!!! Having food in the house was a help. I'm still throwing out greens though (need to buy romaine...it lasts longer...) I made a veggie Fritatta that I found in the WW magazine... it was VERY good... I'll post the recipe later (mom's reading the mag now...)

Raining tons here... just went out for brunch and had to run into Olivers - I'm thinking of taking the ark out for a spin around the neighborhood later... :rolleyes1
