Ditto what Ian said! I was robbed (strong arm no gun) while working at the Video Store so I know how frightening that experience was and can't even imagine if it was someone with a gun!

 Lisa, I can't imagine being robbed, how scarey for you!
Well, I can imagine it a little more after yesterday's experience I guess :sad2:

Ian :flower3::flower3::flower3:

I keep looking over your menu and drooling. Will there be any time for sharing recipes??? The veggies all sound so good ::yes::

Ian:

These are the recipes I need from this year :worship:

Mashed Potatoes with Homemade Ranch Dressing
Brussel Sprouts with Garlic, Pecans and Basil
Pumpkin Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce

I'll be adding the first 2 to the Bourbon Candied Sweet Potatoes from last year

I'll save the dessert for Paul's bday 12/5 he loves bread pudding so this will be a nice twist for his bday dinner (I'm not a pumpkin girl, so I'll have a lemon dish for Tday)

Kathe, that is a frightening story  feel safe

Paul was held up at gun point while working at his dad's liquor store while he was in high school. Freaky :scared1: I'm a no gun kinda gal :sad2:

I started Oct 1st... (doing online) had a few secret :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: from here who shall remain anonymos... I was going to give myself the first month to tell even Ian (Sorry love... one of my :littleangel: told me to cough it up earlier...I didn't want to disappoint you) I tried last year about the time my dad got sick (with GREAT inspiration from Ian...) but I crashed with alot of the stress I was going through... I just wanted to get through the "I'd like to gnaw your arm off" kind of hunger and see if I could actually do it before openly joining in...

3 weeks... 7 lbs... & I've even made it through a few dinners out and my reunion... (and I hear most people's arms are safe to be around now...)
Michelle, th is is very cool because I started Oct 1st too......and I'm at 7 pounds too! :thumbsup2 But..........you'll surely pass me by this week because I had my first cheat day when I just couldn't fight the cravings (major PMS day) and my points count for today was 94!!!! :scared1: The only up side to this is that it definitely opened my eyes as to why I'm the weight I am....because the way I ate today is how I used to eat every day, so it's easy to understand how it's possible to lose weight by staying within my points. I'm at -41 for the week! Truly amazing that I haven't had serious health issues eating that way. I'm in a bit of shock.

BUT.......I'm hopping right back on track tomorrow, no permanent straying like I did on vacation.

OK.....somebody go pick Ian up off the floor please.

Good Morning

I am back:lovestruc

My family and I went down to England at Norwich and stayed for 4 nights with my friend and their two lovely daughters...

Our Kids enjoyed themselves and Olivia's Birthday last Monday and they gave her a lovely football birthday cake...(we didn't told them until Olivia told them it was her birthday...

Olivia's birthday always on school holiday every year...

I drove down for 4 hours then changed Ian drove down another 3 hours :scared1: We left the house at 6.30 am and arrived about 3 pm after three stops for break...

Then we left last Thursday morning and drove up to York for one night... Kids love it...We walked around and we showed them Betty Cafe which is old fashion style... but we didn't go in as we think too expensive for 4 of us:scared1: We went to italian restaurant which was special offer which was nice... then walked to old town... Kids love it..

Yesterday morning we went up to castle and poor Keith that he got scared for height... I thought it was so funny to see his act. As he managed to get top to view but he still hold the railing or us...:scared1:

After that we drove up to see Ian's sister at Sunderland for cup of tea and sandwiches... then drove home last night to Scotland as it was raining, wet, and cold:sad2:

will put photos later..

Today I am still tired...

Scottishwee35

Welcome back Deborah, I've missed you! Sounds like a wonderful holiday.....looking forward to pictures when you're rested up. :goodvibes

Oh, it all sounds wonderful, especially the dessert! You had the same dessert last year too I think, and I remember thinking how yummy it sounds! :goodvibes

Last night I wrote a huge post about my FREAKY FRIDAY but then the boards went down and I lost it :headache: I haven't the energy to retype it but here's the short version:

I opened the cash office at work at 7:00 AM (our store opens at 8:00)
At about 7:20 I turned around from the safe, walked to my counter, looked out my window overlooking the store......................and was staring at the back of a man holding a rifle aimed out at the store(I'm up on the second floor):scared1::scared1::scared1::faint:

Turns out the man was hired to come and shoot a bird that has been in the store for some time :sad2::sad2::sad2:

No one told me he was coming into the store

I almost called 911 (long story why that didn't happen). Can you imagine if the Swat Team had arrived, what excitement we would have had then!

By the way, the bird escaped ;)

I spent the day at work but cried off and on all day from the shock and fear of the morning, then bought a bottle of wine on the way home :(
OH MY GOSH Kathe, that would indeed be quite shocking to see! So glad he wasn't there to hold up the store. Did he get the bird? That's quite a crazy way to get a bird out of the store. I'm picturing holes shot through everything in the store and walls, etc. Yikes!

Sort of a relaxing, lounge around kind of day today. Tyler was playing with Fish World a lot today, we watched a ton of Spongebob episodes on Nickelodeon, then when I couldn't handle any more, we switched to the Wizards of Waverly Place marathon on Disney. :goodvibes We re-bated the mouse traps after watching that damned critter run across the floor TWICE. :headache: This is getting ridiculous. I still can't find where he's getting in, and can't find anything he's been eating or chewing, or any mouse poop anywhere. I'm beginning to think it's a ghost. :rotfl2: I was starting to think he was a figment of my imagination, until Tyler saw him once last night and again today.

We attempted to go to the trick-or-treating event at our local zoo (it's called Boo at the Zoo), but just when we thought it was done raining, it would start again.....so we're going tomorrow because it's supposedly done raining now. Instead, we went on a haunted hayride that we've done a few years now. This was our 3rd year doing it. LOTS of fun! :goodvibes

Tomorrow morning we're going winter coat shopping for Tyler before we do the Boo at the Zoo.

Headed off to bed after checking on my Fish World aquariums! :thumbsup2

Everyone arrives at 6:30 pm

7:30 eastern...

I was thinking green bean casserole with the soup and onion things on top :rotfl2::lmao:

(that way my hint too...) but alas... Ian is allergic to GB casserole:rolleyes1

OK.....somebody go pick Ian up off the floor please.

I'm sure Ian has heard it all...

Ok... so you had a high day... you learned from it... find some good things to munch on that are low in points and go from there.

And try doing some activity points. Walk a couple of blocks with Tyler. Everything helps...

So I guess we have a group going... :grouphug:

Hi Michelle! :goodvibes

Hi Holly!!! :yay:

night holly :flower3::cloud9:

Hi Nan!!! :yay:

Hi Michelle :flower3:

We're watching The Soloist. Not so great in my mind....then early to bed:cloud9:

Just sorting papers here... listening to some music...

Yipee on a Saturday night... :rolleyes1

OK what's wrong with me...I have chocolate brownies and Hershey kisses in the house...small amounts that will be at the kid's house Sunday night...and I have daily points still available and what do I choose to eat...string cheese. Two pieces for 2 points. I had a small amount of chocolate today and I'm good. I'll eat a little more tomorrow and then it goes next door and out of my house. See Ian, you need a child living next door so you can throw leftovers to them. I use weekly points on weekends only so I'll splurge a little, but then it doesn't stay in the house during the week.

I can't believe I chose the cheese over the chocolate. :confused3 and I still have daily points left as well as borrowed weekly points.

I think eventually you get used to eating healthy and it feels better so you continue to do so.

Going to get some pears now....one point....no sugar added by Del Monte in a small can. Gotta go for those happy faces online. I love those. It makes me so happy when I see them pop up and it steers me toward what I need to eat more of each day.

Holly, it's only one day. When you wake up tomorrow you have all brand new points to start over again. Remember, WW teaches you how to eat healthy forever. If you slip off the band wagon....just jump right back on.

Kathy....OMG....REALLY A GUN in the store....whose bright idea was it to shoot a gun indoors anywhere for any reason. That person should be fired on the spot. Forget about whether they informed you or not...there is no way they should have been there doing that. I would fear for my safety with that person who made that kind of a decision to still be in a position to do it again. He or she should be so OUT OF THERE! Gone, Goodbye, Don't Come Back! IDIOT!!!!

Really glad that you're ok but you'll be scarred for life.

Hi Nan, Hi Shell!!! I still have not caught up on all the TV shows I recorded while on vacation and I'm home almost a month. I spent tonight looking at friends' pictures on FB and spending more money on more sparkly items on ebay. I'm getting to be like FL V. They have such great prices, I can't resist. I just bought a pink diamond ring to go with my earrings. Afterall, it is birthday time. I love pink diamonds.

Yes sweetie, you did read correctly....I bought more diamonds. I figured I had enough blue so I needed to go for pink.

Whats wrong with you????.... ummmmmm... Nothing???? ;)

I went to see Ray today at Mrs. Bush's. He's getting worse mentally. They called during the week to tell me that Ray's electric razor doesn't work. We just replaced the heads on it before vacation because he said he liked it and mom bought it for him. So we couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.

We cleaned it and charged it and it's working fine. For the past two years, he has been doing this himself. Now he wasn't able to. So I went there to give it back to him and explain that he has to charge it and clean it. I don't think he's going to. I'll have to call Mrs. Bush on Monday and find out if they will help him do this. Otherwise, I have to show up there and do it for him. It's only going to keep getting worse with him. He's very healthy physically. It's just mentally that he's deteriorating. Very sad. I never want to be like that.
