I like D... & I'm quiet impressed that they can use this for ALL 4 ships... :thumbsup2

I think the one with Mickey and Minnie is cute... almost looks like you had a double wedding...

Slogan... let me think... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1 :scared:

Now how thick am I to not notice that about the sign!!

Yes, i think I like that one too.

I had seen a post a while back (probably on that ugly thread #13) where you asked for one.

Sometimes it takes awhile for inspiration to hit me, so I have to be in the right mood. And that might take some time before I get to the finished product.

As for a slogan for Ian's using the word "sexy" - is this another anniversary themed one or just a general cruise magnet?

Well I love the sign Ken!!:thumbsup2

Yes, Ian is doing an Anniversary one(or two) and they are very cute!!!(Not sure he likes me saying that about his design though!)

Oh poor Tyler...

I HATE HATE HATE Tonsilitis!!!

I generally get it every spring. I'm flat on my back for a week.

Doctors have refused for years to take my tonsils out even when I begged them to. Then I finally get a doctor who agreed to take them out if I got it again within 6 months. Of course I didn't get it again for another 2 years.

It's gotten to the point where I know I have it before it settles in. I have even had doctors switch on my and argue with me when I go in to see them.

Dr - so what seems to be the trouble today?
Me - I've got tonisilitis and I need 1 week's worth of erythromicin.
Dr. - Erythormicin? Why?
Me - because I have an allergy to penicillin like is says on my chart there.
Dr. - well let me take a look and I'll be the judge if you have tonsilitis.
Me - no problem. but I know I have it.
Dr. - (after one quick look in my mouth) Yep you have tonsilitis. Here's your prescription.

Oh, I hate that when I know what I have and the doctors don't listen. I used to get strep throat so often that I always knew when I had it. It was the only time my throat would feel like knives are stabbing the inside.

Fortunately for Tyler, just as when he had strep throat over the winter, he doesn't feel any pain in his throat, just the headache and fever. Lucky kid! But he does feel miserable. He woke up and looked at the guinea pigs when they woke him when they suddenly burst across one end of their cage to the other throwing things up in the air behind them, then he woke up just a minute ago, cheerily telling me he's ready to get up, then miserably told me his pillow is all sweaty, then by the time I brought him a new pillow, he'd fallen asleep again!

You know, now that I think about it, Wednesday or Thursday, I had what I thought was a really bad sore throat, but the way I described it to a co-worker is that it felt like whatever was hurting was in between my throat and my skin, the actual throat itself didn't hurt. Then I went home, barely making it home awake, and slept from 6:30pm until 7:30am. I wonder if I had a mild touch and passed it to him. But then, I suppose he probably would have had these symptoms earlier if that were the case. It's more likely that he picked something up from Chuck E. Cheese on Saturday.

Backyard is mowed.

Doing it during the hottest part of the day just isn't smart. But I hate getting up early to do it. And tonight we want to have family game night again, as I understand it, so it's now or never. Think I lost a few pounds in sweat alone!! Time for some water to keep hydrated and maybe a little snack to keep the energy going. A nice big orange sounds really good to me right now... Shannon, do we have any in the fridge?

No oranges, but there's orange juice. I'll add oranges to the grocery list; let me know if there's anything else you want since I'm buying groceries tonight. :goodvibes

HOLLY - I hope Tyler feels better soon. It sounds like he's an easier patient than Ken! ;) Tonsillitis is nasty

Holly, sorry little guy is sick. I know it's hard to see them when they don't look like themselves

Thanks, he's still sleeping! He was really crabby at the store on the way home because we had to stop to get some Tylenol, but that's totally understandable. You can tell by looking at his face how miserable he feels.

Thanks, I just hope he wakes up soon! ;) I suspect he'll probably wake up when the Tylenol starts wearing off.

OK.....I take that back. He just rolled over, passed gas, and said, "MOM, did you step on a wild duck?" :rotfl2:

Looks like it is a good thing I got the back lawn mowed when I did. I stopped, posted on here and then had something to eat and drink. Next thing I know a the wind picked up and we are now in the middle of a thundershower.

Had some good sized hail come down with it too.

I had just enough time to get the lawn mower and power chords (electric lawn mower) put away before the rain came down. And it is coming down in buckets. Shannon might need the kayak to get home today.

Here are the signs I created for Marilyn.

I didn't need a slogan. No guts, no gain.

I'm at no loss for text. I was just trying to be tasteful, there are lots more things I could have thought up, and nothing that included any vulgarity.

Here's the door sign I made for our cabin for the next cruise:

gross, but boy fart humor is funny, I'll give him that.

Not sure if you need it, but I give mine Motrin every 8 hours and then tylenol every 4 if they really feel like crap. I find it's easier and cheaper to dose them every 8, than every 4. And keep the stuff in the cupboard, it takes years to expire :thumbsup2

Good timing for you Ken! I really need to mow, but need to get more gas for the lawnmower. I don't think I can get Tyler off the couch long enough to go run up and get gas. Can't blame him though. We built some of a pirate ship, then he ate supper, and now he's laying down on the couch again, looking sleepy again, and he says he's still cold, but still has the fever. I really hope this doesn't last long because his stepmom is due this FRIDAY and it wouldn't be good for him to pass a virus on to the new baby.

Nope... just strawberries.. sorry...

Well, we're home today. Tyler had a bad headache yesterday morning, but he napped on the way out of town for the pool party, played in the pool just fine, so I figured he was fine. On the way home, he was freezing cold, so I had to have the heat on in the car for him. I didn't think much of it because I was chilly too (just not cold enough to be under a blanket like he was). This morning his head was still hurting, and hurt whenever he moved, so I figured he might have a migraine, called work to say I'd be late to give Tylenol a chance to help him. He felt really warm too, but it didn't register as a temp on our thermometer (low battery I realized later), so a bit later he felt better, had a bowl of cereal, and went to day care. 4 hours later, day care called me at work and wanted me to come get him because he had a mild temp (100F), had the chills, and felt miserable. So then I realized the other things I mentioned above were all related, called the pediatrician on the way to get him, and they said they could see him right away. Took him to the Dr., strep test came back negative, she told me it looks like viral tonsillitis because she's seen lots of it recently, his temp was up to 102 by that point, told me the headache was from the fever and to just give him lots of liquids and keep Tylenol pumped into him.

He has that awful look kids get when they have a fever, the flushed face, half-closed & glazed eyes. Very lethargic, been sleeping most of the time since I picked him up. I suspect we'll be home tomorrow too. At least that will give me time to start a good cleaning. My mom is coming to town to spend the night on Saturday, so the house has to be super clean.

Ohhh Super :hug::hug::hug: for Tyler!!!

Thanks, I just hope he wakes up soon! ;) I suspect he'll probably wake up when the Tylenol starts wearing off.

:rotfl2:I love them all, but like the middle one best! ;)

gross, but boy fart humor is funny, I'll give him that.

I blame that joke on my 2 stepbrothers. When we were in TN, one of them (I can't remember which) taught him about "stepping on a wild duck". :sad2:

Yeah, I usually have that stuff stored away just to keep on hand, but our most recent ones expired without me even opening it, so we had to buy more on the way home. He fell back asleep before the 4 hours was up, so I wasn't able to dose him again. Temp is still high, so I'll give him some more when he wakes up next.

You should see the strange dreams I have when I pass gas... :rotfl2:
Yeah, but it wasn't even me that did it! Even though he's feeling miserable, he still managed to think to put the blame on me! :rotfl2:

Hey, I received my first $5.00 check in the mail today from Cheerios from their instant win game! Sure, not as much money as the Coke game, but the check came much quicker than the Coke cash cards, and you can play 10 times a day instead of just 2. :goodvibes

ok this is stating the obvious, but if he is sick then he will just wait to see his sibling, right?:confused3 The world won't end for Tyler to wait a couple of days to make sure he doesn't pass any germs on to a newborn. I was pretty black and white when it came to seeing my kids when they were newborns, ya not been feeling well, STAY AWAY and wash your hands, yes again, I don't care if you washed them a minute ago. Newborns don't need germies

you are so stinking lucky. I've been trying coke rewards and I get nothing, but I did get my chocolate coupon today :thumbsup2 remind me again on Thursday this week, would ya

Yeah, I know that, but his dad & stepmom haven't exactly been known for their common sense. :rotfl2:

Well, I haven't won anything yet on this new round of Coke rewards and only one $5 Cheerios prize. And speaking of the chocolate coupon, if you have Rite-Aid stores in your area, somebody on the freebie thread mentioned they have buy 1 get 1 free on the kind of candy you can get with the free coupon, so they were able to get 2 with the free coupon. Worth a try!
