:littleangel: :littleangel: :littleangel:MAJOR PRAYERS AND PIXIE DUST PLEASE!!!!! :littleangel: :littleangel: :littleangel:I got an email earlier from my friends, the ones I go and work for in Jersey whenever Kathy has to take time off to spend with Kyle. Kyle has Cerebral Palsy - He's a sweet heart... my buddy and he's going through a tough time... this is the email I got... Please keep him in your prayers and thoughts...

Kyle has a very large blockage in his UPPER airway. It looks like we only have 2 choices. Our 1st choice is that Kyle would have no surgery and live with a trach tube. The 2nd choice is a very delicate surgery where they will open the blockage, they will insert a stent (a piece of his ribcage would probably be used if need be). He would be trached for approximately 3-6 months during the recovery and follow-up procedures. He will also not be able to swallow very well which could lead to a feeding tube. He won't be able to talk w/the trach for about 6-8 weeks while the stent is in. The 1st phase as we understand it would mean being in Cincinnati for about 2 weeks. Kyle would be hospitalized for about 7-10 days then we will have to travel back and forth for follow-ups.

So, we will ask each of you for your thoughts and prayers as we maneuver our way through yet another bump in the road, seems like our road gets bumpier! As we get closer to a decision of time we will let you know what is going to happen. Right now we have a lot of questions to ask before we move forward.

Love, Kathleen (Kathy) and David

Well today is a very, very good day....I'm home one week from vacation and back to tracking. Today is weigh in and I not only lost the 3 pounds that I gained on vacation, but I lost an additional 2 pounds for a total of 5 pounds lost this week. WOOHOO!!! Now that makes me happy.

I guess that doing WW at home online is working for me....mostly because I have all of you here for encouragement. Thank you, especially Ian. I could not do it without you!

WOW Deb, that's great! Way to go!!! :yay:

FYI....I had an incredible dessert yesterday. I get the WW English Toffee Crunch ice cream bars....2 points each. I eat one everyday because I get my chocolate fix and my ice cream fix all at once. Yesterday I took a half cup of fresh blueberries in a bowl then cut up the ice cream bar and mixed it in with the blueberries.....it was sooooooo good....for a total of 3 points (actually 2.5 but I always round up) and I got my fruit in there too.:thumbsup2

Yummy, what a great idea! :goodvibes

Oh that sounds really yummy! I SWEAR I will get the kitchen stocked up this weekend. I did not gain one single pound at WDW or on the cruise, but have gained THREE in the last week and a half. Working all those extra hours the first week back, and not having supplies lead to too much carry out and quick meals....not good. :sad2: So it's back on plan and tracking this weekend. Peg and I are meeting Cheri for dinner tonight at Mimi's and it will be hard to resist a MUFFIN, but I can do it!

.

That's my biggest problem Jackie, not having the right foods in stock. I refilled my supply at work and happily snacked all day on 1 or 2 point foods. My co-workers were SHOCKED to see me eating carrots and an apple in the afternoon. LOL! :rotfl2:

Very well done you!!! :thumbsup2 You are unstoppable this time.

Hi Marilyn, that sounds so nice. Enjoy! We would love to see some pictures. It's not the same place that you stayed in before is it?:confused3

It isn't the same place. it is smaller, just 3 bedrooms for the 2 of us!!:lmao: It is very nice and has a lovely pool and outlook over a lake.

Yes, the 'something' will be sorry if you can not participate, but totally understands! :sad1:

YOU ALL ARE INVITED to play at Disneyland in five weeks. I'm dragging a carfull of gal pals there on the 7th for my birthday. DLR is letting me in for free, so I'm going. :thumbsup2 We'll only be doing a weekend turn-around...leaving work Friday afternoon and driving over, then Saturday in the park and Sunday a breakfast at Storytellers then a stop at the outlet mall on the drive home.

Thought about having dinner Saturday at Hook's Point, but not sure I want to take time out of the park. Bubba & V...do you have park passes? If not, I will definately plan a dinner outside the park so my West Coast pals can join in! I'd better check and see if Hook's Point is even open, as you can never tell with that restaurant.

Peg and Cheri will be there, as well as two friends from work. Hope there will be a couple of visitors from Chicago too! :grouphug:

.

I wish I could, but go on and have a great time without me!!!:rotfl:

Marilyn... I do believe that you are a countess and we should all :worship: :worship: to you... :rotfl: :rotfl: The Villa.... :flower3:

I am a countess!!!:cool1:

Oh that is so hard for the Kyle and his family. What decisions they have to make. I will keep them in my prayers.

Oh, and we call the pool rental homes villas. What you all call villas we call apartments, or duplex apartments if over 2 floors. I know you also call large residences villas. We call them mansions I suppose.

Will do. Sounds like neither decision is very good. :sad2: I can't imagine how hard this must be for Kyle and his family.

Ohhh there she goes trying to teach us English again... :rotfl:

We're all waiting to see what the next step is and I might be going to Jersey to help if if they need...

Sending hugs and pixie dust :grouphug:

okay, I'm getting off the dis until Sunday. We're heading off to Vancouver in the morning. Hopefully it'll be a peaceful drive and then a fun football game! Have a great weekend everyone.:goodvibes

Hope you are having a great weekend Shannon!

I put it on yesterday for the first time. It's cold and damp. It was nice to be warm and tropical for a change on vacation. Now back to reality and another cold and wet season. It's been raining since early Spring...now we're into Fall and it's still raining.

It's been very bleak here too :sad2:I was prepared for it to be much colder, but I was also expecting it to be sunny! It's rained every day since I got home. I wouldn't have put the heat on despite the cold, except Serenity is here and her little toes were freezing!

We are moving to our villa today. Hopefully we should get some swimming in there. See you later. Have a good day all.

Sounds like you are continuing to have a great vacation, Marilyn! Enjoy your weekend at the villa. I'm glad you are having good weather!

Mom wouldn't have turned it on except we were both turning :cold::cold::cold:

Way to go Deb :cheer2:

Tomorrow's the big day! We find out if Chicago is the host city for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

(Too bad we're not trying to host the winter olympics. Skiing would be a very interesting event. Very slow, but interesting.)

So???? What was the decision??? I'm too tired to google it

:hug:They're blessed to have you as a friend.

Good point, I'll let them know. But I think it will be better for him because he won't have to try to remember every day what house he's going to after school, he'll know because it would be the same all week. :thumbsup2

Your idea for a new schedule sounds good Holly :thumbsup2 It sounds like it might work out well for everyone. Wishing you luck, I'm sure it will take a little adjustment initially.
