I just talked to Lisa and Darrell....they are onboard sitting in the port waiting to start the Western. They were the first group to sail with the new tiered CC members. Lisa said there were separations at the terminal for processing and boarding. They are traveling at the Silver level and they got the first gift in their stateroom:

I have the Dopey one for mom!!! :goodvibes

Kyle and family in my prayers

Thanks Nan

Sending all the positive thoughts and pixie dust I can gather up and blow their way. How sad and tragic. It just reinforces that you have to be thankful for each and every day and live it as healthy as possible....sometimes you just don't have a choice.

Thanks Deb...it's always been a challenge but the Demarest's do the best they can and it IS indeed a family effort - EVERYONE is involved... & they are a great family :grouphug:

Thanks Holly. I was very pleased. It feels good....now just another 16 pounds until I hit my next goal....I do 25 pound intervals.

   ;)

It's good to be the countess!

It's even better to be QUEEN!!! princess:

Thanks Kathe, I'll get there by Alaska.

Can't you find a shorter route??? :lmao:

I just paid our Jan 10, 2010 cruise in full. So how come it's our "no frills" cruise but I just booked Palo Brunch and an Atlantis excursion? We plan to be floating down the Atlantis lazy river with drink in hand on John's 59th birthday. Might as well WOOP it up his last year of fiftysomething.

Even though it's only a 4 nighter, I'm really looking forward to it. Just me and John. We're not even doing FE gifting with the other disers. I signed in on their thread but they're only on page 6 or something and the cruise is only 3 months away. My Alaska cruise thread is way past that number and it's a year and a half away. Wow! What a difference.

We're about to start Thread 15 for the AFTER PC cruise and we had 17 threads before it!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Nope. We're flying in, getting on the boat and flying home. We have NEVER done it like this before. We'll price it out both ways and see if it's better to rent a car or take car service from the airport to the port. Also, I MUST get there at 9:00 am so I might have to fly in the day before and take a local hotel room for a night....then a cab or shuttle. I'll start looking into all of that this week....I just wanted to get it paid in full first and book my onboard activities.

Deb... If you have AARP - check out the Hyatt at the airport - or AAA you have to to straight to the Hyatt website... they have those rates and then you could take the DCL busses right from the airport and back to it again... simple.. as my mother says...

Funny story.....John usually feeds Ella every night. I do Angel....we share turtles. Anyway, John is in the kitchen marinating some pork chops for the grill. Ella sees him in there and thinks that it's 6pm and time for dinner....it was only 2:30pm and way too early....Ella didn't care she popped up and started making noises like the sea gulls do outside Living Seas at Epcot on the way to see Talkin Turtle....CRUSH! They say, "mine, mine, mine, mine...." that was Ella. John was like, "not yours, not now." John said to her, "mine, mine, mine.":lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

LOVE IT!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sorry we didn't bring the leads to be able to post photos, but it is so peaceful here. Lots of crane type birds to see on the edge of the lake, a few lizards around the pool edge and on the screen. It has been a perfect day today - blue sky and hot. The pool is freezing by the way. I didn't think you would need pool heating at the end of summer, and we won't be paying for any so hey ho, we have to brave the initial sharp intakes of breath!!!:lmao:

Sounds heavenly.....who knew that the pool would be cool in FL at this time of year....oh well, just put your toes in or wear a wetsuit...haha. Have fun!

I have AAA, but I won't stay there. I need to be near the port and in Cocoa Beach. I love it there.

LOVE IT!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

....ah..haha....:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

I just finished booking everything except the airfare...but I found it for $59 pp each way. It's out of ABE which is right down the road and much preferred. The only down side is that we'll have to make it a full week....break my heart....with 2 nights in Cocoa Beach before and 1 night in Cocoa Beach after. That's fine with us for the amount of ease and the money saved. I booked the hotel and car....coz now we'll want a rental. I just have to pay for the air. I can't cancel that one so I want to be sure before I book. I'll do it after I sleep on it and talk to John. The total expenses for one week that includes air, hotel, car rental and parking at the port are just slightly over $1,000. That is VERY doable. ;)

I think they said shoes to wear on the beach...they look like flip flops.

What are the two big white things?

Those flip flops look pretty tiny...or is the bag big...or are they kid flip flops?

Inquiring minds want to know.

:upsidedow

EDITED: The flip flops are Rice Krispie treats! The white things are metal water bottles...there is also a keychain.

Gee now that you mention it....that is exactly what Lisa said that I so quickly forgot. Glad to have you on top of things as usual Jackie.;)

KATHE!!!! We need the sting ray pictures, that time they almost killed Deb and I. Never mind the baby she is fine, get the pictures :lmao::lmao::lmao:

thank you :flower3:

ah..hahaha....John was just asking me today if we had a picture of the killer stingray that made us fly out of the water. I said no, we're waiting on Kathe.

Thanks for making things happen....love you Nana, miss you!

I booked it Danno.....John said book it, so I did. I locked in the price and even got to pick seats out for $20 pp extra. I got us the Exit Row seats so John has lots of leg room.

We get one free bag to check in, but we're not bringing any. It's a good deal for that price.

CC postcards to follow....:cutie:

Wow, that sure is very doable! Cool! :yay:

My tummy is VERY happy today! Had Subway with Tyler for supper and I just had an ice cream sandwich and am still within my daily points. :goodvibes Deb, you're right, now I'm remembering how easy this is. :thumbsup2

I noticed something interesting while at Subway. I didn't even miss the cheese and mayo on my sub because I have them pile it with so many veggies and lots of vinegar, it didn't taste any different, so I probably wasn't even tasting the cheese and mayo anyway with all the other stuff. :thumbsup2

Tyler is super excited because I showed him the breakfast sandwiches we have for tomorrow morning. He loves, loves, loves McMuffins from McDonalds, but I never buy them for him because they're so bad for us. Well, WW has a version that tastes the same to him and is much better for us, so he can't believe I'm letting him have one for breakfast! ;) So he loves WW too! I also told him we're well-stocked with WW ice cream, so we can have some every day if we want. He said, "REALLY? You mean every day for the rest of our lives?!" :rotfl: I told him yes, if he really wants to and he about fell on the floor from shock! LOL!!!!! Gotta love WW! :thumbsup2

We put up some of our Halloween decorations today. Tyler was excited because this was the first time I let him go up in the attic with me. He's been dying to for a couple years.....it was a mysterious place for him! ;) We have more to do tomorrow, mainly lights, we have a strand of skulls, one of jack-o-lanterns, and one with giant spiders, and we have a few outside decorations to do. PLUS we're buying some new ones this year, so that will be fun! :goodvibes

I love Danno... (or Johnno in this matter...:goodvibes)

Ella at her best....or as we sometimes refer to her as The Queen of Sheba.

Yesterday I was home a week and Ella has not left my side.
