Men :confused3 Who would rather go to Canada than Australia? OK, I've never been to either one but I know Australia is better :lmao:

Shannon, we aren't going camping this summer. But mid July we might go visit Oxnard, or Arizona, or Chicago, or Lansing, or New York or .... instead.

Ken...

you forgot....

HOCKEY!!!!!!

The problem is, that as much as I do like hockey, I am actually a bigger football fan than hockey fan. And the Hockey playoffs are just around the corner so I will get even more into hockey in the next while, but once Football season starts this spring that will capture all of my attention. Ask Shannon, nothing comes between me and football season.

And as a Canadian my football season starts with preseason in the Canadian Football league (my first passion of all sports) in the spring and ends with the Superbowl in the winter. I get the longest season of almost ALL sports.

Deborah, sounds like Shannon and Ken have already given you some good ideas:thumbsup2 When you decide, of course we'll all try to help in your planning! I am about a 2 hr drive from Toronto, 3 hrs from Niagara Falls.

My parents have a cottage in PEI so we have spent many family vacations there. I love it out east! Shannon, if you do get to go some day, the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Island is a wonderful drive too. When the kids were younger, we used to drive out and spend a few days in a different province first before ending up in PEI. It was a great way to see more of Canada. I also loved Quebec City. I've only driven through Montreal though. Sadly, we never did make it to Newfoundland. My parents still go to their cottage from May until Sept every year.

Kathe

That sounds like a lot of fun. I have to admit that I have always wanted to take some time and drive across Canada. The closest I have come is to the Manitoba/Ontario border back to BC on a trip with Shannon and Shaelyn when we drove to Kansas City to visit my mom.

I would love to get out east and see the east coast just like Shannon mentioned. It's one reason why we make a great couple, we both want to see many of the same things.

And part of me wants to do it before the girls get too much older. But I do want them to get a bit older so they understand what we are doing - but not too much older where they are no fun to travel with in a car. I really do want to drive. Crazy I know but I like driving tours.

There is a reason why I have driven to Florida twice ....

:sad2::sad2::sad2:
Sorry for your bad luck :headache: I can appreciate how sick you must be of winter! We have been so very lucky the past few weeks. March was much milder than ususal. It is supposed to snow Saturday morning but then go up to 10 or so :) Seems too good to be true, but maybe, just maybe, spring is really here :flower1: Hope it won't be much longer for you too.

Kathe

Not here. It was snowing again today and the whole office was kind of in a funk because of it. Everyone wants to see sunshine so badly you can see the affect weather has on our psyche. I know I spent much of the day looking at travel opportunities (even checked out the Sept Tortola B2B and considered it) just wishing for sunshine.

Then Gaylean posts her "weekend getaway" pics and I just get envious. It's seems like it is almost worse this year than any other year.

Ok I'm caught up.

Here are some pics of the totems inside Vancouver International Airport at the domestic arrival section.

Tomorrow morning it is off to the Vancouver International Auto show, then a brief stop at the BCLiberal head office for some campaign information and then time to head home. A brief stop in Quesnel for the grand opening of the campaign office there, then up to PG and finally a few minutes on Friday back in my regular day job in PG then I can actually head home back to Quesnel to see my wife and kids.

It's gonna be hectic but should be interesting!!

That trip will represent about 76 miles (by car) from home (Quesnel) to work (Prince George); then 490 miles from Prince George to Vancouver (by plane) then 490 miles back to Prince George via car and then 76 miles back to Quesnel (by car).

But I don't like to drive .... ;)

Apparently I am talking to myself now. So I might as well move on and perhaps the hit the sack.

Good Morning Deborah and Marilyn!!

Why would you want dinner rolls with burgers??? I guess thats an option if you chose one of the other meals, right.?

You can have burgers ala carte.. but the dinner comes with everything else... You'll have to come and find out...

Also... they just started having a sausage and peppers sandwich... it's on my list for unhealthy eating next time... :thumbsup2

You're all still chattering?

I'm up WAY past my bedtime on a school night.

And you're checking in???

More beer drinking... :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Ours get buried in the snow. You just have to follow the bunny footprints in the snow to find them...

watch out for the colored snow... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I found an image of a man belly dancing that I was going to post but I didn't know if you'd be back. Now I can't find it  It could have been your twin ;)

Good morning, and thank goodness for small miracles . . .

Good morning all.

I'm exhausted and could hardly get up this morning. That's unusual. I was up way too late last night because of our theatre night.

We both enjoyed Mary Poppins. We weren't wowed by it, but it had some good moments. The one that we both thought was best was, "Feed the Birds."

I was up pastt 11 last night and now it is 4:55am and I am awake for some reason. Gotta get up at 6am so not really much sense in trying to go back to sleep .... I hate it when this happens ...

Good morning/afternoon everybody!

This is not good. I've only been here 2 hours (1 hour was spent chatting with co-workers who came in early today), and I'm already out of work to do! I have a LOOOOONG 8 hours left!!! :headache:

Maybe I'll pass time by practicing my "jab, jab, front kick, cross punch" or nunchuck moves "1 to the neck, 2 to the neck, 3 to the body, 4 to the body, 5 to the knee, 6 to the knee, switch hands and repeat" or some other combos. :lmao:

:lmao::lmao: Just be careful who is around at the time!!!:rotfl2:

I'm now at work and still exhausted. However, I am still a morning person and this is my best time of day for analytical work (afternoons are reserved for more administrative work).

---------------------------------------------------------

Mary Poppins:

As I said it had it's moments. It was entertaining, but nothing earth shattering.

I suppose that my litmus test for musicals is whether or not it could be performed as a chamber production, without the fancy stage effects and hold up. Many of the truly great musicals can. They are supported by their book and score.

One thing I noticed when I got home last night, was that the Chase Disney Rewards card I ordered arrived, so that means tonight, I will order our annual passes. I will also phone DVC today and find out how I order the Tables in Wonderland card.

---------------------------------------------------------

There is going to be a new little arrival at Eastwood Manor today. My new iMac arrives. Sukie has wanted mine for a few months, and so I finally caved in, and ordered myself a new Mac.

I am not looking forward to the weekend, because it will be spent reinstalling applications.

I could do a direct transfer, but I don't like to do that for anything except data files. I much prefer to do fresh installs, so as to not drag across crap that I may not want.

It is like dominos, because first I have to migrate my Mac, then wipe the disk on my "old" iMac clean, do a fresh install of OS X (Leopard) and start the process again, to migrate from Sukie's 20" G5 to my 20" Intel iMac.

I am somehow going to have to fit all of this into a busy weekend. It's Passover next week and I have to make a concerted effort to go shopping for Passover food this weekend.
