Home from BASEBALL...day....

Opening ceremony today. Big Deal 50th anniversary of our league, Moreland Little League. 1962 National Champs (Not as exciting as the neighboring league, Campbell that made it to LL World Series in Japan a few year ago, but nonetheless good) We had mounted police (2 horses) Mayor of San Jose, Chuck Reed throw out the 1st pitch and city gave the league $1K (nice in this economy) San Jose Police Helicopter flew around the field a few times and announced "good luck MLL and congrats on 50 years" It was a cool ceremony and I'm glad Willie is a part of something historic like this. The A's sponsored little league pins for all the players. I'll have to take a pic and post it. Another nice keepsake.

Then....our first game and the D'backs (our team) kicked butt against the Giants. 20-3. It was so great to see our boys (& 1 girl) play this year. We opted to keep Willie in AA ball this year. He is old enough to tryout for Minors but he didn't have to, so we decided since he will miss a few games (due to races) that it was better to let someone else try out and get a seat in the Minors. Sometimes it's nice to be a big fish in a small pond. About half his team from last year went up and we have 4 of the boys playing together this year again. We parents like each other so it's nice :thumbsup2

I've got some pics to upload then I'll come back and share 'em.

Sounds like a fun family day for you! Looking forward to pictures! :goodvibes

We had fun today too. When I picked Tyler up, we went straight to the bounce place. He and his friend Celes hadn't seen each other in about a month, maybe a bit longer, so they were so excited to see each other. She's a bit chubby, so she was worn out quickly and couldn't walk very well because it's so much more activity than she's used to, but Tyler was completely soaked with sweat and unstoppable! :rotfl2: Both of us moms were climbing and sliding a bit too, but couldn't handle much because it's really hard work trying to climb up those things because they're bouncing and swaying the whole time you're trying to climb up to the top. Then we went out for pizza afterwards at a small local Italian restaurant. Yummy! They might come over tomorrow to play in our back yard.

Since we're getting shut down for a few hours... I want to get this in before I forget...

MORNING MARILYN AND DEBORAH!!!!
