Sitting in a hotel room in Smithers, BC (go ahead and google it as it is really quite nice here), bored and ready to go home but I won't see my home until Saturday night ...

We were supposed to go to Edmonton for the May long weekend, but that has now been cancelled. I was actually looking forward to that.

I got a real headache tonight too. Not sure if it is hunger or what.

Time to just babble until I fall asleep.

Indeed! One guy on another site does excellent amateur forecasts, and he still has a day of rain around the 4th May, but Accuweather dropped that last night. I can cope with a day of warm rain though.

Marilyn, that 9 hr flight is scaring me way more than the 6 days at sea for the EBTA cruise!!!

We cleaned out Oreo's cage today for the first time and it was super easy, nothing like I'd expected. Just dumped out the old bedding, sprayed the bottom of the cage with deodorizing/disinfecting spray, wiped it dry, and put clean bedding down. Much better than I'd expected! It's only been 3 days, but I'd rather clean it too early than have it start smelling. Even before we cleaned it, even with my face right up to the cage, I couldn't smell anything at all (and he's been pooping all over the place), so I'm not as worried about him stinking up the house anymore. He's very cute!

I think our guinea pig has gone crazy. Until today, he's been too scared to come out much. We've been taking him out to hold him and pet him often to get him used to us. This morning was the first time we heard him making any noises, he was squeaking quietly when Tyler was holding him. This evening he was coming out of his little hideout to eat while we were in front of the cage. Getting brave! But just now he came out and was RUNNING in circles and darting in and out of his little house thing, running all over and squeaking a bit! I'm thinking maybe he was just getting some exercise? Playing? Maybe he's just nuts!

did you get him a wheel or something?

He stopped at noon. Just had 1/2 peice of toast, he was on the floor and the dog chomped the rest out of his hand when he wasn't paying attention. Silly, bad dog She(the dog) loves to eat we call her Jenny Pig, instead of Jenny Rose.

So glad wilson is feeling better. Naughty dog!!

I'm not air sick, but I can be sea sick. I didn't used to like the turbulance we usually get on the way home, but I'm getting more used to it now. It can be boring though.

How sweet of you! While I'm not on WW I am on a "plan" and can always use encouragement ... down about 12 pounds so far...

Well, Tyler wants me to put the little video of him going berserk on his blog, and I suppose I could add a couple pictures there too. Will try to do that tonight.

No wheel, not safe because their feet can get caught in the wire. Plus, almost all of them are made for hamsters and gerbils, so they'd be to small. You're actually supposed to let him run around on the carpet for exercise. I found a great website with tons of helpful info from a woman who's had lots and lots of guinea pigs, she usually has 4 at a time. So we did let him out today on the carpet and he LOVED it! And he ran back into his cage when he was done (he ran back into his cage to poop too, and then ran back out to run around more).
