:goodvibesHAPPY EARTH DAY!!!:goodvibes

Happy Earth Day Holly! I just posted this on our new thread, but I'll post it here too. Our company has gone "bagless" today. We are encouraging everyone to use reusable bags and bins for their shopping, but plastic bags can still be purchased for 5 cents a piece. Part of this charge will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund.

I've been in the Animal Kingdom Park twice on Earth Day over the last few years, wish I was there today!

Workmen have arrived here and are replacing 3 windows for me. Currently there is alot of banging and swearing going on :scared: I'm afraid to go look to see what's happening!

Kathe - glad you're getting the final windows replaced today - 1 more thing to check off the TO DO list :goodvibes

I feel like I'm running out of time (which I am)....have started throwing clothes into the suitcase but haven't packed yet...need to finish :laundy: tonight & need to color my hair tonight. Plus need to stop by DTD on my way home. All the gadgets (camera & laptop stuff) are all packed. Need to decide what reading materials I'll be taking w/ me.

Trying to decide if I need to exchange $ here or hope for a good exchange rate on the ship. I'll exchange for Pounds in London, but need Euros to pay for our Berlin tour & incidentals there. Have been told that US Dollar is ok in most other countries (or credit card). If I decided to change the $ here will do that tomorrow night on the way home.

Things making matters worse is that my stomach has been bad since Monday. I just hope & pray that I'll be ok before I fly on Saturday.

Woohoo!!! Is the packing done yet?

We're having a little bit of summer at the moment so it shouldn't feel too bad arriving here.

Hopefully it'll last until next Tuesday :lmao: Everyone I've talked to & the different places I've looked said to dress in layers for each of the countries we're going to.

It's been beautiful here.

I'm not air sick, but I can be sea sick. I didn't used to like the turbulance we usually get on the way home, but I'm getting more used to it now. It can be boring though.

Marilyn, do you take anything for your sea sickness? I don't get air sick or sea sick (well except for once on a fishing boat in PEI) , but I am a nervous flyer. We had more turbulence on my flight home from LA last May than I am used to :scared: First time I had seen lightning from my window too! I know Michelle, mentioned Nyquil, but I really hate taking drugs. I don't like the foggy feeling I get, and my stomach gets upset easily from drugs.

 Take a deep breath, it will all come together in time , close your eyes and picture your first day sitting by the pool sipping on a tall, cool, fruity boozy drink :beach:

I like the "bagless" idea. Nice! :goodvibes

Hey Monica, do you think the upset tummy might partially be from worry over packing and making sure you have everything? I'm trying to think positively here! I hope it goes away the minute you start vacation!

Unfortunately I think it'll be too chilly to be lounging by the pool - I do know I will be trying out their heated loungers in the spa at least 1x.

I'll be thinking of all the Champagne Girls as I board - they great you w/ a glass of Champange or Orange Juice as you get on board the ship :goodvibes

You really are creating quite an elaborate fantasy, aren't you? All for spending 2 weeks in your backyard with an inflatable kiddy pool.

I have problems with small boats, and took Bonine for the first day on the 2 cruises we were on, just in case, and though it was a bit rough the first night, I had no problems after. I do worry about a rough cruise though.:scared:

Plenty of time to get over the bad stomach Monica. Everything will come together and you will have a wonderful time.

Listen what Kathe had been saying to you.... it would be lovely to have cocktail on the NCL ship...

I hope you are feeling better and the weather in Scotland seem lovely for few days i think tom will be raining... London should be warmer than here...

HOORAY!! We're being treated to a gift certificate somewhere AND a bunch of fresh fruit after lunch! YUMMY!!!! :cool1:

Some very evil cookies showed up in the kitchen here at work. Chocolate with huge chocolate chunks and drizzled with chocolate icing! :scared:

I suspect some were dropped on the floor while whoever made them packed them to bring them to work, and they were just picked up off the floor and put right into the container. Yuck. AND, a mouse probably ran across them before the lid was put on.

(Yeah, that's what I'll tell myself to make me stay away.) ;)
