Ken has thrown down the gauntlet at me regarding Twitter.

I decided to check it out today. Much to my horror, there is already a user with the ID iankh! How selfish can you be! Didn't he realize that was my ID? There is no other iankh in the world, except for me, this one, the real thing, the genuine article.

How can I possibly have a different ID. Besides that, would could I possibly use as an ID!?!

I saw on the main cruise board a thread about 1-2 weeks ago that DCL pulled it's permit application for Glacier Bay. So as of right now no Alaska in the works. There are other places in Alaska but as far as anyone could find out no permits have been submitted.

This is one we really want too.

Though we'll settle for Asia

My co-worker just told me this today. Or perhaps DCL found out that the permit application was uncovered, and since they try to keep things secret, maybe they're just letting us think they pulled their app. I can hope, right?

Not even close. We just realized it was so close the other day.

And yep we are trying to keep it a secret from the girls. Should be interesting to see how we do with that. Especially when we are in the car for 2 days straight. We'll have to do all the packing for the girls prior to leaving, as we still have a tonne of snow on the ground it might be tough explaining to them to pack shorts and leave the snow pants at home.

Tell them that they are going to go and visit Uncle Bubba and Auntie V and their cousins Gaylean, Jon, Brooke & Ethan!!!

(and when they wonder why they haven't gotten Xmas gifts from them before... tell them they got a cruise...don't they remember?)

OK, have you ever looked at something quickly and then had to do a retake, because you couldn't believe what you saw, or heard? Then, looking again, you realized how your brain had incorrectly processed the information?

This happened to me last night.

I was on the DVC Member site looking under the member perks section. I was looking for the link to buy our discounted WDW annual passes.

I realized I had not been on for some time and decided to peruse the benefits.

Now here's where the rather funny and odd misprocessing of information comes in:

What I "saw" was the following (with the accompanying graphic):

The Disney Final Experience

I quickly thought, "Oh, no! Don't tell me they have Disney themed funerals!" It appeared to me like a solemn Mickey, head bowed, bunch of flowers.

I looked at it again and realized it said, "The Disney Floral Experience."

It's sort of like the Gene Roddenberry/Space thing... we put a teaspoon of you on whatever ride you'd like...

They pulled it for Glacier Bay, but there is the Hubbard Glacier that Royal Carribean goes to - not all Alaskan cruises go to Glacier Bay... so don't count it out entirely... especially if they won't be able to safely do Mexico anymore...

I'm sitting on the #11 Lincoln Avenue bus and posting, simply because I can!

Mexico & the recommendation NOT to travel there is all over the news here in FL - think I've heard it also on HLN. Lots of kidnappings & murders going on. They recommend not going even to the real touristy areas (like Cancun) too.

Quite sad.

there goes my plans for spring break... and I was SO looking forwards to getting drunk and having sex on a beach...

(I know... what's stopping me...)

Hi Jackie, how are you feeling? Are you able to sit yet?

I am sitting for a bit. Did about an hour this morning and I've done about 15 minutes now. I'm going to go see if I can get in and out of the car without scootching (scootching = not good). If so....I'm headed to the nearest DRIVE THROUGH! Haven't had any Vicoden today either...so I think I can move on to the iboprophen as necessary fase.

Don't even mention that "V" word. They make me so sick....but they work when necessary to use them.

Yeah... I'm not quite sure what happened... me and daylight hours... but I did get a personalized wake up call this am... so that may be the answer... now if it were just in person...

& V word makes me sick too.. .hate taking it but it does work... I don't get people who get stuck on that stuff... but I guess it affects people differently...

So... mom and I had a very interesting discussion over lunch today...

It was about my traveling in the future with my friends...

She told me that she'll travel through the end of the year with me and then she'll have had enough and I can go off with my friends...

I told her she didn't understand... If she was healthy and I didn't show up with her on the EB next April.. that there was a good chance You'd all throw me off the ship before it left Port Canaveral.... (and Sukie would be crushed without her...)

Then I told her to knock it off and eat her chicken salad...

I hear ya, I totally agree. It affects me the same way that it does you. And at times becomes a necessary evil. I always weigh out the pain versus feeling sick. Extreme pain wins. Tolerable pain does not.

I LOVE the new pink tink. It's perfect for the Champagne Girls. I tried putting it in my signature but it's so much larger than my other graphics and doesn't look right. If I knew how to make it a little smaller, I could do it.

Imagine if you could be creamated and placed under your name brick like the one that Ken and Shannon have. Imagine if your ashes get to be carried in the parade before being placed into your permanent spot.
