I just reread what I typed about Dad & the cruise (when Gay quoted it)....what I meant to say was that we (Lisa & I) can't make a decision on this for Dad - even though he doesn't know how he will react to the radiation. The way it looks like right now (with dates) he will have 8-9 days of recovery time btwn the end of the radiation & the trip.

Hello Everybody

I am not having a good day today at work grrrrr

I had been on tills for 4 hours grrrr

Scottishwee35

I'm sorry  Just think of the cruise and how happy we all were. That gets me through some bad days.

I ran it through recipe builder with the recipe as written.

It could be cut down if 3 Tablespoons of oil were not used. I think you might be able to get it as low as 12 points.

Still half your points and I'm not a fan of sugar anyway

Nope still not worth it.

I know. I don't have it on that but I have seen it. My sister keeps hers on that mode because they think it will leave permanent lines on the TV if you don't.

Is it a projection, plasma or LCD? There could be an issue with burn in on a plasma, but I don't think so on either a projection or LCD.

It's 58F and SUNNY here. I'm going out for a walk.

I hope the customers were kind to you Deborah. I think I would get cross with them if I was on the tills for very long.

Oh sound good, must try that if my hormone play about.....

Scottishwee35

Sounds like you need the chocolate cake tonight, and not because your hormones!!

Too bad he had such a hard time on the Adderall. Most kids can't gain weight on it. What are they having you do to control his weight? I can't imagine my kids not being able to eat as much as they want. I never force them to eat and if they want more, I give it to them. There is a lot of times that Brooke will go to bed only eating a couple of bites but she's never starving when she gets up. Not to mention she isn't too thin. I think they are hungrier on some days and less hungry on other days, just like us. I hated that my mom forced me to eat. She used to yell at me when we went to buffets and I stopped eating when I was full :sad2: I'm really lucky because both of my kids will eat veggies and fruit. Ethan won't eat salad and Brooke won't eat asparagus but other than that they both eat a lot of veggies. Brooke is picky about other things like meat and eggs. She'll only eat what she calls "good meat". Which is steak. She wouldn't touch hamburger.
I eliminated all fast food (except for Subway every Monday), no sweets (except one piece of candy a day if he asks, from his leftover Christmas candy) and stopped giving him more food when he'd ask. He doesn't ask anymore, because I just kept telling him he's not hungry, it's just the Risperdal making him think he's hungry. He's fine with it because he's gotten used to normal child-size portions and healthy foods. The problem is with his dad. They have fast food every day he's over there and he lets him eat those awfully fattening breakfast sandwiches (biscuit with sausage, egg and cheese) and usually TWO of them. :sad2: He buys him candy whenever they go to the store and they have sweets for dessert every night. Just unhealthy stuff. I've been after his dad about it, but he tells me he just doesn't have time to do anything but drive-through after work. yeah, whatever. He's just not willing to go the extra mile to help his kid be healthy. :headache:

Deborah - is work any better since the RIND person came in? (I think those were the initials) :confused3

The research I did before buying said that burn in on a plasma will only be likely to happen if you keep a game or video paused for an extended time, like maybe an hour. We do that a lot, but my DVD player shuts itself off after about 15 minutes of being paused, fortunately.

Can't he help Tyler make better choices from the fast food menus? Also, re: the breakfast sandwiches & the candy/desserts - what's his excuse for those? Is he telling you that his house has a drive thru??? :rotfl:

Holly - meant to tell you - I ordered/won that DVD from ebay yesterday. We'll see how I do (lol)

Wish me luck everybody. You all know I don't cook or bake and don't even like to. Tyler's classroom Valentine's Day party is Thursday (because there's no school Friday), and he asked if he can take cookies in to share. I gave him the option of having his stepmom make them with him the night before the party or make them here with me. I thought for sure he'd want to with her because he's baked with her before, and she's good at it. ;) Nope, he chose me.

Every time we've ever tried to make cookies, they've NOT turned out. And he's sad every time. Please send lots of good luck wishes my way that they turn out well! :goodvibes

He just doesn't want to limit Tyler's choices. He tells me he lets Tyler eat anything he wants, as much as he wants. The only thing I can do is continue to teach Tyler about healthy choices and hope he ends up making good choices everywhere he goes. :sad2:

Way to go! I must warn you, you will hate it. Well, no surprise there, from my comments all along! ;) But I find I can sometimes distract myself by listening to everything she's saying because it all makes sense. Good luck! I feel guilty for skipping a day yesterday, but I'm determined to get back to it today! :goodvibes
