Hi Michelle
What time now?
my time is 8.36 am
Scottishwee35
Well, now it's afternoon, but I had so much on my mind last night that I didn't fall asleep until well after sunrise...it's been happening alot these days... I need another cruise... I slept so well on that ship!!!
So what are all of your 4th of July plans (I mean our US friends. I know Canada Day is coming up, well for you UK people, I suppose you're going to think twice before you increase the tax on tea).
Seriously, what plans are afoot?
We are doing nothing. I think we're going to see Wall*E on Friday night and on Saturday we're going to the zoo.
It's also time for me to put gas in Mrs. Fezziwig. She only has 1 gallon left. The last time I put gas in her was around May 5th.
No real 4th of July plans though, no cookouts or picnics planned. I'm just looking forward to a nice, relaxing long weekend.
Nothing on the 4th... We had our local fireworks last friday (they did them on the river by Jumpin Jacks and from the park it looked like they blew the place up by the end!!!

On the 5th, I'm going up to the lake to visit some of my friends, do the parade and fireworks... I will try to stay at that end of the lake and not go down and pace back and forth and cry at the other end where the property is that I want...

But... on the 3rd... weather pending... I'm hoping to go to SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts...) to see Chicago and the Doobie Brothers!!!! (I wanted to go to see Steely Dan tomorrow night but they are calling for rain and it's at Bethel Woods - YES... site of WOODSTOCK!!! (They built a very nice performing arts center there... www.bethelwoods.org ) It's outside so I have to see what it's going to do outside...
Anyone here near Seabright NJ?? I just heard that there is a pod of dolphins (maybe 20) are in the river there....amazing to see.
My whole family is near there... My great grandmother built a bungalow at the Highlands near Sandy Hook...
On the 4th we will be in our motorhome heading to Missoula. We will spend the night of the 4th with our good friends in Couer D'Alene, ID.
Then Saturday morning on over the pass into Montana. It should be beautiful there this time of year. I talked with a realtor yesterday and she will have some houses for us to look at the week we are there. Hope the home inspection goes ok today.
We are holding our breath, this is the last hurdle.
Good luck!!!!
Happy Canada Day!
or in this neck of the woods:
Happy Dominion Day!
(This is what it used to be known as and because we live near a heritage site, they still call it Dominion Day).

So go ahead and end all your sentences with "eh" in honour of this great day.
And make sure you raise a stubby or drink a 2-4 to toast my home and native land, the true north strong and free!

Ok Now I got that out of my system...
Thnx for everyone's best wishes today. We are going to head down to the park today and have some various ethnic foods and watch some dancing and singing, have a piece of birthday cake, wave the flag a bit and then probably come back home and do some housework.
As for moving day ... That is a Quebec thing. In Quebec many home leases start on July 1 and last for exactly one year (they're french they are weird) so on July 1 many Quebecers (Quebecois) spend the day moving from one location to another.

Back at ya Ken... from the one Quebecois that doesn't have to move cause we got thrown out a couple of hundred years ago!!!
We are going to be heading out to Brookfield Zoo. We are going to make a day of it.
Um Ian... I'd suggest you put 2 gallons in Mrs. F today...
