Sorry, I'm grumpy about his dad because tomorrow is our first appointment with the psychiatrist (on our path to get meds) and it will be me, Tyler's dad & stepmom. I HATE that type of appointment....it's so stressful. My stomach is in knots today already, in anticipation of our appt tomorrow.

Don't worry about being grumpy. We all feel this way sometimes. Just to let you know, Ethan chewed on his shirts all the way through first grade. He olny made a hole in one thank goodness. That was the year that he had the bad teacher I was telling you guys about. He was stressed that entire year. He also licked his face raw.

Lisa...must have missed the original posts by you. It has to be rough at this point with Vanessa. I was an exchange student in England in my sophomore year and it was so hard to leave.....and I was only there for 3 months. I can't imagine! Luckily now with internet it is so much easier to keep in touch at a distance!

Well, can we take them back a few extra years (before we freeze time) and have it be before the "tween"dom sets in and the mouth appears! :lmao:

Maybe we could just skip everything in between 10 and 20 :rolleyes1

We have little tiny ones all the time that we don't feel, but where Gaylean lives they had 4 this morning. Many people believe that the extreme heat causes the earthquakes, but the earthquake experts always tell us that it is a coincidence. But many of us do refer to the heat as earthquake weather.

No, I knew... thought I'd post the book just incase people lurking thought I really meant FAT BUTT! It's such a hard hitting phrase. This work is loathsome, but I am selling a bunch of stuff right now. Lot's of DCL stuff too.

The bag and painting represent a couple of things on my vision board that I keep right over the sightlines of my computer. I started following this artist years ago and said that when I "made it" I'd purchase her art. The Kelly bag is something that I've loved for so long, but would never spend the money on such a luxury. We were so very poor when we started this business and are finally getting to the point where these material objects are getting close. Everything else comes first... school, home, health, business, retirement etc. But I said that each time I sell a piece of work to a syndicate I would finally get a luxury reward. And I'm getting really close. So, first we declutter, then we are expanding our entire business. All in a 15 week time period. Man are we trying to stay motivated.

Did I have an earthquake? I missed it. It must not have been too big because I usually feel them. Nothing like the Big Bear quakes I take it! I was a teen and my mom my kept coming in and yelling at me to get under the door but I was resting and too good for that :lmao: We were so close that we damage to the house but I was at the age that nothing could hurt me!

Aw, poor Ethan. Did he end up being less stressed after that year? It's sad that bad teachers are kept on in schools.

I lost track of how many shirts have holes. Probably all of them he took on the cruise. The chewy necklace is such a relief and even his teachers have said they love it because they just hated seeing his shirt in his mouth. :goodvibes

Surprisingly, I actually had some work to do today, as you can probably all tell by my absence most of the day on here. :rotfl2:

:woohoo: :woohoo: 2010 here we come. We have a dummy booked for Dec 08 done with the intention of moving it when 2010 dates are announced.

We have December 2009 booked with the intention of moving it to 2010. Unless of course we can't wait that long and move it sooner!!

He had a wonderful year last year. She is teaching first next year so I hope Brooke gets her. She is very strict but understanding of kids needs.

I guess, it is a bit much sometimes. Right now she was crying because she "MAY" need braces when she is older and her uncle told her that they hurt.

I will say that I showed her that DIS picture of all of us where she is sitting in between you and Shannon. She said look there's Venetia and Bubba. And I said who is that sitting next to her and she said I don't know, can you make it bigger. :lmao:

DS#1's Orthodontist told us to give him Tylenol before each appointment so it would have kicked in by the time the braces were tightened. Worked for him.

Since he was not allowed to chew gum while the braces were on, he kept a zip lock in the freezer for unusual flavors he wanted to keep and try when braces were off :rotfl2:

Jan :earsgirl:

Wow you are old :lmao: Just kidding. I can't believe when people tell me stories about the price of their houses. It seems like you could actually live back then. Now everyone stays at home forever and struggles for a long time. We are really lucky that Jon's job has been so great but most of our friends aren't as lucky. I feel sorry for the 20 somethings now.

We bought our first home in 1975 for 25,000 2 bedroom 900 sq ft starter home right on the edge of the Barrio. But you have to remember that wages are far more now also. Dennis made $300 per month in 1972 and we got another couple hundred a month from the GI bill to pay for school. With that we were raising 2 little girls. It is all relative. Pharmacists made around $10,000 in the late 60's and that was considered very successful way back then.

Oh I would take her in one second flat....so Nan better not offer unless she really means it. My kids say I collect kids!!

Now I can't sleep, it is 1:40am here....

you know one day I'll be ready to send her...not just yet, but when I do you are on the top of the list ;)

Ian

Love your picture with frames, it look :thumbsup2

Last week we went along to small factory which near us for picture with the frames. guess what, it was closed down after we went away. We cannot believe it.

Pictures still in the bag with no frames yet

I think I go to IKEA on Wednesday to see any frames::yes::

Scottishwee35

Oh Deborah... Ikea is very dangerous!!! Can't leave there without lots of cheap stuff...I always tell myself I'm going to use their stuff to organize... but it never gets put together!!!

You can olrder the Order of the Ditch certificate at any time. We left the Captain's name empty and got him to sign it, so you will just give those details and they will print it.

I think it is great for the money. I got the dressed mermaids, but i think Monica and Deborah got naked ones!!:)

Why doesn't that surprise me?!?!?!?!?:rotfl:

So, Kelly, is the book really good? I saw it and considered it before. You sound just like me...I am on a 90day fast track to get some stuff moving in my business and for those 90 days I triple the commitment I give to my other business and really focus. Scott and I take turns doing those types of things...so the other can be with the kids, but as both self-employed we have to keep ourselves motivated and on the right track.

By the way, we all have our own "dream" boards (or vision boards or goal boards) and every few months we (as a family) redo them and have a great time talking about how goals and plans. The girls love that time and look forward to it and I always find them looking at their boards!

Wow, Kaylee, I wish you were down here. We have a group of women entrepreneurs who keep each other motivated to reach our goals. I'm only part way through the book, but I've been listening to Peter Walsh for a little over a year on the Oprah XM network and have seen him many times on the show. I love the names of his books because they encompass so much more than the concept of organizing. BTW, your website is great!

It's great that you've started so young with the kids on goal setting. It is one of the single most important practices that a parent or family can do together to prevent most negative behaviors in teen and young adult life (esp. drug abuse.) In every parent meeting that we present we talk extensively about Family Mission Statements and how many variations there are on the concept. KUDO's to you and DH!!!!

hula hoop or super hoop? hula hoop I am at 225 and super hoop at 385 or something like that.

Nan...you could always bring them up here so they could play ours! :thumbsup2

We have a really annoying one that has taken up home in our yard....would you like me to send him to Michigan? He can wake you up all morning with his LOUD screams!

I'm not going to tell Molly that Jaide has one and that she got it for her birthday, that will send her over the top...

Molly has an odd affection for peacocks also...(started as a young child at the zoo with her Auntie)

I hope I'm still talking to you in 10 years so I can bring up what you just told her. Breathe baby breathe :lmao:

no denying it I WILL BE A BASKET CASE. BUT, Paul and I talked about this last night and agreed that we will go back to being best friends and finding our groove without them. We laughed about how much time we spend together (we share an office ya know) much more than most couples we know and it seems to work....

I remember my FIL telling me that his dad told him that someday he'll pay for a car what he paid for his first house....and he thought his dad was crazy. Well, guess what, it came true... wonder if that will still hold true today?! Scary thought.

OK, so....I think we need to take another cruise together so we can sit down and talk...sounds like we would have had a great time!

Thanks about the website...it is still a work in progress (like the fact that my picture is still missing:lmao: ).

And thanks to the kudos...it is just part of life for us:goodvibes Scott and I did lots of NLP/hynotherapy training years ago and it is just part of our life. Hopefully we are doing the right things for the girls to have them grow up free from abuse of any kind and to become happy and healthy and successful!

so you are telling me Molly wants to come up for a visit (even though I am apparently not anywhere near the top of your list:worried: ) We have the Wii and a resident Peacock!
