By the way Ian...
great pics of your neighborhood. Sukie's garden was wonderful. My mom would be very jealous...she always wanted to just have gardens vs lawns. I love places like that...I am a city girl at heart. Brooklyn is one of my favorite places to just go and wander and your neighborhood seemed to have that same feel. One of the things I miss about the PNW....no great small city based neighborhoods...

Well, since I am just talking to myself and my 930 patient is "no showing" me...Ian, I am sooo jealous of all of those great restaurants around your place. I don't think I would ever cook again if I had all of those options within walking distance. Another bummer about living in the country, no good restaurants...althought we do have the best sushi place in the world located right here in Bonney Lake.

We have a really annoying one that has taken up home in our yard....would you like me to send him to Michigan? He can wake you up all morning with his LOUD screams!
:rotfl2: NOOOOO thank you! I don't need anymore bird poop to clean up! :rotfl:

Sorry Cherie, here's my guy getting me through this painful process. I've never been so anxious to get back to work.

Now here is the sign I have posted next to him:

The Hermes Kelly Bag

A painting by Victoria Montesinos.

These are my motivations to get my massive reorganization done on both work and home.

I hope you know I'm giving you a hard time!:goodvibes I've heard of that book, but haven't read it. It totally makes sense to me, however.

What is the meaning of the bag and the painting? Maybe you already explained it and I missed it.

I'm here and way behind. Should I go back and read all the pages....well maybe a few!

I had a relaxing weekend, which means I need to entertain the kids more this week. Jon and I were having fun one night and we decided to count how many times Brooke said mama in 5 minutes. She said it 14 times. I just thought this was funny so I wanted to share it. Have a nice day.

I know you are right, but I am having trouble even looking at her now without crying.

Gretchen finished up dancing just a little while ago. We are graduating 7 seniors so it was very sad at the last show tonight. Lots and lots of crying.

I can't imagine. I hope it gets better with time. I'm sure it will after you realize that you will keep in touch. Maybe a myspace or face book account is in order. The friends that I was telling you about keep in touch that way.

It's cause she Loves her mama:love:

As do we all.:lovestruc :cutie:

I am so tired. Dance is over for all of 2 weeks before we start up next year.

I have a hugh empty hole in my heart. I feel like I am getting so old and the kids are out growing me.....

I remember when the kids were babies and I couldn't wait for them to get older and now I wonder where the last eight years went. Can we freeze them and keep them this age and me too while were at it ;)

I guess, it is a bit much sometimes. Right now she was crying because she "MAY" need braces when she is older and her uncle told her that they hurt.

I will say that I showed her that DIS picture of all of us where she is sitting in between you and Shannon. She said look there's Venetia and Bubba. And I said who is that sitting next to her and she said I don't know, can you make it bigger. :lmao:

Lisa, you sound so sad....I think you need to step back and relook at this situtation. When the kiddos are grown up and one their way this will be the time in your life to refocus on yourself and Don. Enjoy having sometime to yourself. Maybe you need to find a special interest you've always wanted to enjoy but never gave yourself the permission (in your case time) to enjoy. Breathe baby breathe....

I hope I'm still talking to you in 10 years so I can bring up what you just told her. Breathe baby breathe :lmao:

:cutie: Tell her that bubba and I both love and miss her. And can't wait to see you guys again. And tell her that I had braces and I don't think they hurt and they will help make her smile even more beautiful.

And smack that mean uncle for me too.

Tyler's dad is constantly telling him the same thing too because he sucks his thumb. I know people who suck their thumb and never need braces. I know people who DON'T suck their thumb and did need braces. It doesn't always matter. He's just scaring him and making him want to suck that thumb for more comfort. :headache:

The first house my ex and I bought in 1974 cost $28,000--typical 3 bd, 2 bath, 1500 sq ft tract home. Now my cars cost almost that much.:faint:

Wow you are old :lmao: Just kidding. I can't believe when people tell me stories about the price of their houses. It seems like you could actually live back then. Now everyone stays at home forever and struggles for a long time. We are really lucky that Jon's job has been so great but most of our friends aren't as lucky. I feel sorry for the 20 somethings now.

He's only 16 so I'll forgive him :lmao: She lives in the future which is strange to me because I'm kind of a now type person. I don't want to think about my life in 20 years. I'm too busy thinking about what to do right now :lmao:

My older brother sucked two fingers until he was a teenager. He was embarrassed but never needed braces. Tyler needs mouth toys. Chewies and gum and stuff. It sounds like he knows how to calm himself down.

That's exactly what he does. He sucks his thumb less since I got him a chewy necklace. And his shirts are completely dry now. We had some disgusting cruise pics where his shirt was soaked in the front from him chewing on it, not to mention all the holes in shirts! I need to tell his dad to back off and leave him alone about it. Jerk.

Sorry, I'm grumpy about his dad because tomorrow is our first appointment with the psychiatrist (on our path to get meds) and it will be me, Tyler's dad & stepmom. I HATE that type of appointment....it's so stressful. My stomach is in knots today already, in anticipation of our appt tomorrow.

Lisa...must have missed the original posts by you. It has to be rough at this point with Vanessa. I was an exchange student in England in my sophomore year and it was so hard to leave.....and I was only there for 3 months. I can't imagine! Luckily now with internet it is so much easier to keep in touch at a distance!

I remember when the kids were babies and I couldn't wait for them to get older and now I wonder where the last eight years went. Can we freeze them and keep them this age and me too while were at it ;)

Well, can we take them back a few extra years (before we freeze time) and have it be before the "tween"dom sets in and the mouth appears! :lmao:

Earthquakes? I believe you have them all the time, but if you feel them they must be bigger ones.

We have little tiny ones all the time that we don't feel, but where Gaylean lives they had 4 this morning. Many people believe that the extreme heat causes the earthquakes, but the earthquake experts always tell us that it is a coincidence. But many of us do refer to the heat as earthquake weather.

I hope you know I'm giving you a hard time!:goodvibes I've heard of that book, but haven't read it. It totally makes sense to me, however.

No, I knew... thought I'd post the book just incase people lurking thought I really meant FAT BUTT! It's such a hard hitting phrase. This work is loathsome, but I am selling a bunch of stuff right now. Lot's of DCL stuff too.

The bag and painting represent a couple of things on my vision board that I keep right over the sightlines of my computer. I started following this artist years ago and said that when I "made it" I'd purchase her art. The Kelly bag is something that I've loved for so long, but would never spend the money on such a luxury. We were so very poor when we started this business and are finally getting to the point where these material objects are getting close. Everything else comes first... school, home, health, business, retirement etc. But I said that each time I sell a piece of work to a syndicate I would finally get a luxury reward. And I'm getting really close. So, first we declutter, then we are expanding our entire business. All in a 15 week time period. Man are we trying to stay motivated.

So, Kelly, is the book really good? I saw it and considered it before. You sound just like me...I am on a 90day fast track to get some stuff moving in my business and for those 90 days I triple the commitment I give to my other business and really focus. Scott and I take turns doing those types of things...so the other can be with the kids, but as both self-employed we have to keep ourselves motivated and on the right track.

By the way, we all have our own "dream" boards (or vision boards or goal boards) and every few months we (as a family) redo them and have a great time talking about how goals and plans. The girls love that time and look forward to it and I always find them looking at their boards!
