I am still hoping to take my mom on an "unexpected" cruise in late September or early October.....she has never cruised and we might just go by ourselves for 3 days......gotta see!

Well we're back. Had a good trip. The work part on Friday went well and we finished quickly. John's mum is doing very well and it was quite nice visiting her. Hotels were fine, even the CHEAP one!!!

I've rushed through the thread trying to catch up, so I have missed loads sorry.

Carol, sorry about your back and sciatica. I have suffered with this some years ago so do sympathise.

My time with the kiddos went well--all were in good moods so time was positive.

Funeral was tough. Her kids are 5 and 8. She found the breast cancer when the baby was tiny, so that means she was fighting for 5 years.

When the pain was bad she would try to rest and listen to her i-pod. She asked her husband to put it in her hands for the funeral. As her sister said, she liked to jolt people into laughter when they least expected it. Looks like she did it again.

Oh yes, one more thing. In the mail today came My Cruise Travel Kit for our Thanksgiving Cruise. Although it was very neat to get....just no where near as exciting as getting the one for our trip!!

We're leaving early in the morning and boy am I ready! It has been a hell of a week. Tuesday morning I checked in the hospital to have a lump removed from my breast. It turned out ok but boy am I sore!. They put a medal chip in so they can moniter the area - so I figure with my luck I will set the alarms off at the airport in the morning. I have 6 butterfly thingys instead of stitches. At least it is waterproof. Then today our dog was supposed to have surgery but when the vet did the ultrasound he suggested putting him to sleep. So the way things are going this week I hope I don't miss my plane tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a good couple of weeks! I will probably check in, but we are not taking computers with us.

You will be there now and enjoying the sun and relaxation - you really need this after your week. So glad about the breast lump being ok, but sorry about your dog.

Stilll have about 8 pages to catch up on, but wanted to report in.

I did go get checked out yesterday, and we did spinal x-ray and will do an abdonimal ultrasound on Tuesday. My biggest bruise (a lovely shade of purple today--matches my nightgown) is on my side just above the waist, so we want to make sure the kidney and related area is all OK. I was warned that tomorrow will be the day I'm the most sore, so I'm getting the rental car and everything else taken care of today...so maybe I'll just spend tomorrow floating in the pool! I stayed overnight at Peg's again last night, and she's taking VERY good care of me.

I had a very unproductive day...

Woke up to pain in my side...

took about 5 trips to the ladies room to figure out I had another Kidney stone

I am NOT happy with that one... have been drinking lime juice all day and will mix up my concoction of lime and olive oil later and try that again...

so I had lots to do and I managed to crawl back into bed and just lay there...

THEN....

I found out that one of the families that goes to the lake found another place and didn't tell anyone about it... so I am slightly, well, maybe a bit more PISSED about that... & here I was thinking of building extra guest cottages on the property if I get it for friends, etc...

They are having a fireman's parade here in town...sirens all day - not sure if I will make it to the fireworks tonight...

AND ON TOP OF THAT...

SOMETHING IS EATING MY GARDEN!!!!!!!!!!

All my flowers are gone. They touched nothing up on the deck...just all my zinnias and marigolds... I suspect a rabbit... I'd say Bunny Rabbit, but he's NOT that cute!!!

Hope by now you are feeling better Michelle. That is a very painful condition.

Sounds like an annoying and frustrating time at the moment too.

I only copy half of it on my pc.

Lucky my friend told me about cardrecovery and I got it back but have to pay for it.

After I pay it and I dont know where is it now?

I had to used it again and try to catch it where is it?

I am sure you understand more than I do about those children losing their mother. Yes it is sad. I did not know the lady. Sounds like she was a very special woman.

We are fine. I miss the ship and the friends we saw so often or only now and then.

There the dilemma is whether your passport is up to date and do you take the Thruway straight to Niagara Falls and go through southern Ontario north of Lake Erie, or do you stay in the states and take Rt 90 to the Ohio-Michigan corner and go north to Lansing.

I think I passed the sucker last night... almost passed out in the process... my miracle solution of 3 oz olive oil and 4 oz lemon juice seemed to work... (and I had this feeling all night that I should have eaten a salad with it...)
