Now that Thanksgiving is over I can slowly start packing for our trip in less than 3 weeks! It has been a few years since we have been to Blizzard Beach, do they still rent towels and if so how much do they rent for now? It would save a lot of suitcase space if I didn't need to pack any beachtowels! Also how much are the locker rentals now days?

According to a website,
Small lockers, located in the restrooms, cost around $3 per day to rent, with a $2 deposit, while large lockers cost around $5 with a $2 deposit. Towel rental is also available for $1, and life jackets are available for a $25 returnable deposit.

However - I know when we're going, Blizzard Beach will be closed for rehab. You might want to check to see if it will be reopened by the time you arrive.

BB opens from rehab on December 13th. You might consider taking at least one beach towel from home. We learned 2 things on our last trip, they will not issue you a new towel if yours disappears, you have to pay again, and all the chairs with white towels on them make it hard to identify your own if you leave them unattended. Have a great time!!

yeah we always bring our own even to resort pools we find that bigger towels are always better :)

plus you know which one is yours.

Does TL allow small children to wear their own floatation devices (i.e, "floaties") or are they required to rent the life jackets for $25?

children can wear floties.... or water wings at the water parks and resort pools..... other flotation devices can be used if it attaches to the child (ie if it snaps, buckles, etc.).
things such as simple rings with no sholder straps to hold the child in are not allowed....

Also, Children's lifejackets are free at all waterparks and resorts (if it costs anything, its just a deposit that you will get returned when the lifejacket gets returned..... but I believe the deposit is only on adult sized life jackets..... and even then you can leave a drivers licence or the like as the deposit...)

We were at TL 2 weeks ago and there was no charge for the life jackets. I needed 3 of them for my kids and all I had to do was show my ID. They wrote down my info on a card and tore it up when we returned the jackets.

Also, I did see several kids wearing their own floaties. The life jackets were great though. Good fit and not too bulky. I felt very comfortable with the kids wearing them, much more so than if they were wearing the arm ones.

Hope that helps.
