We are a party of 11 (8 adults and 3 children, 4,6,7) we will have UPH and staying at ASMo from 9/1 to 9/5 (late flight). We all want to visit the waterparks as much as possible but not for a whole day. Most advice is that we go to the waterparks early but with the parks closing early during that period, I figured instead of going back to the hotel for a swim at noon (like I usually do) we can go to one of the waterparks but I'm afraid they will be filled to capacity, which is usually the case during the summer peak period. Is this the case during September also? Is it feasible to do the parks about noon time to 3 or 4pm? Opinions will be greatly appreciated. TIA!

We usually hit the waterparks in September (during the week) and even though it is crowded I dont remember it ever being at capacity. We usually go as a larger group- 2-3 extended families and we usually only get a few chairs to put our stuff on and have a spot to take a break. I dont believe that you would have a problem.

I personally prefer going to the water parks early in the morning. We usually go from 9:00-2:00 pm. That's plenty of time and you avoid long lines by going early, plus it's easier to get a good spot. Another reason I like to go early is the afternoon showers. You can almost set your watch by them! They usually roll in about 2-3 pm.

So, we go early, ride everything, eat lunch, leave around 2 pm, take a shower and head out again!

My 2 cents.......if you figure in the time it'll take you to get from a theme park to your resort to get on a bus to the waterpark you will have used up a good amount of time.

This past Father's Day weekend, we tried to get from one of the parks (can't remember which) to a water park. First we had to get back to the resort then stand in line for another bus. Then we stopped twice at DD. By the time we arrived we had less than an hour to spend at the water park. And don't forget you can't get back to a theme park from the water park...it's back to the resort first :(

I say spend a whole or half day at the water parks but don't try to sandwich it inbetween parks ~ I know we won't try it again! I had my first disney meltdown that day (maybe it was the heat??) My DH isn't looking forward to that happening again....lol

Good question and responses. We'll also be trying the labor day weekend WDW parks. We'll have our own car and planning to drive from our 11am Character B'fast to TL for a couple of hours at the water park. Then on Sunday, we plan to stay at AK until around 11am and then the buses go straight to BB. That's how we plan to try and take advantage of the double parks per day.

Returning to the resort to then catch a bus to the waterpark could definitely take all day, I was planning that we'd walk over to Contemporary Hotel from MK and catch their bus to the waterpark, we'll have our bathing suits and stuff in our backpacks which we will put in a locker at the park. I just wanted to see how the crowds were at that time. Thanks to all for your replies. :teeth:

Speaking of the transportation between water parks and other places, how can you get from BB to the Winter mini golf course nearby? Is it close enough to walk? Are there busses? Do you have to take a cab? Has anyone taken a cab? How much did it cost? Sorry for all the questions :) Thanks for any help :)

The Miniature Golf course is adjacent to BB so you just take a bus marked for BB. I think that the cost is around $10 or $12 dollars but I'm not sure.

We were planning on going to the mini golf course from BB. Is there a bus from BB to the mini golf place? Did you mean the cost is $10 or $12 for the bus? I know mini golf is $9/adult. Thanks for the help :)
