I have a question...

My FH & I want to do a waterpark one day, but we have a pretty full schedule. So, I thought, since AK won't take all day, that we could go to Typhoon Lagoon in the morning (from 9-11) then make it back to AK for our noon PS at RFC.

Is it possible to do TL in 2 hours? Or should we save it for Friday, the day we leave, when we have most of the morning to do nothing. We don't have a PS on Friday until 3:15.

Any thoughts?

Is it possible to do TL in 2 hours? Not really. And especially not if you are going in the summer. It easily takes 5-6 hours to ride all the slides let alone a lazy float around the lazy river. But you might want to think about reversing your plan. Hit AK in the morning and then TL in the afternoon. TL starts to empty out around 2-3 pm. Remember Rainforrest is also open for breakfast and boy is it good.

also, you don't want to come to AK in the afternoon - it's HOT...
You want to do the AK in the morning and before the crowds arrive...

You can definitely do the water parks in two hours, as long as you know you won't see most of what's there and you're just going to enjoy a couple of hours playing in the wave pool or doing a couple of slides and the lazy river.

The real problem is travel time. By the time you get there, change into your swimsuit, play for a while, shower, change again, make the drive and reach the front gates of AK you will have used up most of your time just in preparation/travel.

I'd go on the morning you have nothing else to do.

Another vote for waiting. We did BB in 2 hrs. only because it was the last day of our trip and it was the first day BB was open after it's annual rehab. We got a lot done, but felt very rushed and basically spent the entire time watching the clock. You'll enjoy TL much more if you allow plenty of time.

It is probably possible to get the big rides in if you're there and ready to go at park opening. But it would be rushed. When you do go on Friday - be there at park opening - it makes a HUGE difference. You can get the Shark Reef and the biggie rides done and then float in the lazy river or play in the wave pool once it starts getting really crowded.

Remember Rainforrest is also open for breakfast and boy is it good.

We would do this, but we already have a PS for noon at the RFC in AK.

Thanks for the advice. I'll talk to my FH tonight about going on Friday morning. We might hit BB after AK on that Wednesday, just to have something to do since AK won't take that long.
