In WDW I always bring a change of clothes for my daughters because they like to play in the pooh themed play area in FL and the totem water sprays in AL, also in the splash pad in EP, AK, DTD.

I al wondering if there are similar water play areas in DL and if we will need extra clothes and shoes for the girls or not (I know accidents happen, but for one of these, we wouldn´t mind buying an extra t.-shirt or 2 in the parks).

I think there is a water play area in CA in Bugs Land. There may be one in Toon Town, but I can't remember exactly.

There is "princess dots puddle park" in a Bug's land in California Adventure Park. However I do not know of one in Disneyland.:confused3

Bugs Land in DCA has a water play area with squirting jets etc.

Disneyland used to have a water area in front of the Space Mountain building. Theres a huge marble ball kids can spin there. I think the ball is still there but the water jets that sprayed up I think were shut off years ago.

My girls, ages 8, 10, 13 have gotten completely soaked head to toe at the water play area at DCA. But its always been on a hot sunny day and they quickly dry off. Same thing riding Grizzly Rapids. If they ride that after dark then they might need a change of clothes but only if it happens to be a cooler evening.

We bring a bathing suit and water shoes or flip flops for princess dots puddle park in the summer. We've been known to sit and play for an hour or more. You have to have shoes on to play so make sure they have something they can get wet.

Good point about the rides you might/will get wet on.

Even though DL doesn't have a water park area, we have gotten SOAKED on Splash mountain. Especially if in the first, second and even third seats.

Most times the water isn't an issue and we go on riding the rides, as we dry off. However, this last trip we were in the second, third and forth rows and were ALL totally soaked. The squishing of my shoes and socks made it a must to return to the room for dry clothes for all of us.

The overall weight in the log and the water level I think affected the out come for us this time. You never know... It was fun but a long walk back to the room to change.

Grizzly River run is another one we have been soaked on. The rafts backed up and we were stuck right over the spot that the water shoots up. Over and over the water drenched us!! The kids though it was the best ever!!!
This time the day was warmer and we didn't take the time to change. In a few hours we were dry and still enjoying ourselves.

It's something to think about.

Enjoy your trip!

Rumors are suggesting Cars Land will have some water play.

Thank you, I don´t see a need then to bring full extra outfit for the older girls.

If your children plan to use Princess Dot's Puddle Park at DCA, then I'd plan to bring a change of clothes (or stay very wet). The kids I saw playing there were having a blast...and getting soaked.
