Hi fellow DISers. :wave2:

Who has gone to Blizzard Beach and/or Typhoon Lagoon in December, really?

I asked this a few months ago and all I remember is something like: "Are you nuts!!?, in the Winter time."

So, who has actually gone in December?

Thanks all. :D

Sorry, not us! The two times I have gone were Christmas week and while, to us northerners, it was fairly warm, it was still on the cool side and we wore pants every day. My sisters swam at the Hotel pools a couple times briefly just because they said they wanted to be able to go home and say they swam outside in December, but they were REALLY cold when they got out. Maybe we just caught bad weeks?? The second trip in 1997 it rained the whole week :( I'm curious to see if anyone has too :)

Ok I'm the nutter who went to the water park last December. No really, we had 3 days in a row where the weather was in the mid 80's and my daughter and I ventured over to Blizzard Beach. I cant say it was empty but we were able to swim and ride the slides in relative comfort. We are however from the UK and any temp above 58 is warm enough for us.

 :wave2:

We've done them several times in Dec and also in January. We were there on NY day last year and it was great.

I'm guardedly optimistic about the water park this December. I'm sure my kids will do it, but I'm not sure about me!

I am building our itinerary to be relatively flexible, and the first "warm" day---we are THERE!
