How are the lines at the water parks? Will we spend most of our time in line? Are any of the other water parks in the area better/cheaper?

We did both water parks last September. I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes for anything besides the family raft rides.

We went to TL late August of 2014. The lines were okay, they were long for Crush n' Gusher and Humunga Kowabunga. I 'd say that we waited about 20-45 minutes for the bigger attractions. The smaller slides were 5-10 minutes.

I'm not sure how BB is, I could see it have longer waits than TL with plummet.

Thanks we are going at the end of September and trying to decide if I want to add water parks to our visit.

I have never had crazy long waits at the water parks, and IMO they are some of the best water parks I have ever been to.

No, you won't find a better water park in the area, in my opinion. We're big fans of BB and TL and go often. We were just in both of them in June. Depends what time of day you go. I highly recommend getting there for rope drop. One park usually opens at 9am and the other at 10am. Rope drop is SO much better than at the 4 major parks, very easy to deal with. You'll be able to get on anything you want with almost no wait for the first hour. After that, the lines will grow some. The smaller slides will have 15-20 minute waits. The more popular ones can get pretty long lines. Summit Plummet at BB can get long, as can Downhill Double Dipper.
