I just got off the phone with a very nice CM. She said right now I don't have any codes but to keep watching the web-sit and e-mail they are expecting something very soon. I've got my fingers crossed for a 40% off Deluxe for late Nov/early Dec

i will have an AP, he will not. so i either need to dish for a pointless AP for him, or buy an 8 day ticket for me that i won't use, or buy 1 day tickets for both of us that we won't use, and an 8 day ticket elsewhere for him to use. it's all very confusing

Actually, that's not true. There only needs to be one adult (over 21) with an AP in the room for everyone to get the dining plan without tickets. Of course, the AP holder has to be the lead guest. You may want to call Disney to verify.

i spoke to 4 different cast members about this since last february.

they all said the same. both have to get the same amount of tickets too. ex. i can't get a 1 day, and he get an 8 day.

i'm always the lead guest on the ressie. .

To get his ticket as part of the package, yes, you have to do the same ones. But, you can book an AP ticketless package with the AP code and then just buy his ticket at the gate or from a discounter like Undercover tourist.

As long as you don't attach his ticket to the reservation, then you can get him whichever ticket makes sense.

They're simply wrong. You don't have to "get around this." What you need to do is ask for an AP ticketless package with dining. Most CMs understand that. It's an exception to the general rule that everyone in the room must have the same tickets.

ETA: Or you can just book it on the AP website if you already have an AP.

There's no telling. Lots of folks have reported getting multiple pins.

But I'm thinking that 10% is a lot lower than most discounts -- you might get a better deal using a AAA discount or an annual pass discount... either one of those would likely pay for the AP or AAA membership.

I have a AAA membership and the discount is 15% but there's no 2 BR villas available using the AAA discount, I can get the 2BR villa full price or with the 10% pin.

Wow there are pins that are 35% off of value resorts??? Congrats, I've never seen that before...maybe I will call today and ask, although I'm nervous about getting a not so nice CM who won't check for me!

The AP ticketless package allows you to get the dining plan without having to get tickets.

One thing about that, though, is I don't believe you can book a room with a general public discount and get an AP ticketless package.

So, to get the AP ticketless package, you have to be paying rack rate or be using an AP discount code. A regular discount or pin code can not be used.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

You cannot combine the discounts. But which deal is better depends on your own individual situation: which resort, which category of room, how many kids, etc. Only you can run the numbers.

There is a PIN for room only which for the Deluxes is 35% off, I don't know the specifics. I saw it on the DIS but the CM was more than willing check out different prices. I am going end of august. YW3 I think, anyone interested should call and check the dates. Good luck!!!

the first time in my life, i received a pin code!

i called today to book with the new released codes and the CM asked if i had received a post card about the special pin.

huh?
(never received the post card or email from disney destination about the pin.)

turns out a pin was attached to my name on 12/27 and is valid for 2011.
i booked at all stars sports with a 40% discount for the room.
late sept thru oct 4th this year.

i added tickets and dining to the discounted room rate.


i have been staying on site since 1992 and this is the first pin i have ever received.

i'm so happy!
