Okay, I thought I'd start a healthy snack survey. What do you eat to solve your afternoon/morning/evening munchies?

Here's my list:

Light string cheese sticks (60 cal, low fat)
Fruit
protein bars
100 calorie snacks, 1 bag
1/3 bag of popped popcorn
2 Dibs ice cream bites
5-6 jellybeans
water
1 peppermint patty (LOL I love chocolate)
about 10 M&M minis
5 animal crackers
2 bite size oatmeal cookies

see,this is why I need ideas... half of these aren't particulaly healthy. Mind you, the animal crackers and oatmeal cookies are organic, all natural, and are small, but there are still better choices...there must be!...and I really would like to know what you are eating for these :)

I like the presliced Granny Smith apples - I just grab them out of the bag and munch. That way I have no excuse that I don't want to take the time to cut them up. :lmao:
Stawberries and Whip Cream - like Colleen. This is one of my favorites !! :love:
Weight Watchers has 1 and 2 point chocolate bars
Graham Crackers
 

I am doing low carb, so I can't help with the snacks. Sorry. The only snacks on your list that I can eat are cheese, water, and a little fruit. I have been snacking on cheese and turkey pepperoni. And for a sweet snack, strawberries and cool whip.

Hope you all are doing well. You all know I am a daily, (if not mulitple times a day ;)) weigher, and this morning the scale moved!!!! Let's hope it lasts till Friday!:cool1:

Today was one of those days for me. I made pretty good choices though, but I didn't exercise. LAZY BUTT!!!

You can do it! Imagine yourself walking at WDW! Tell yourself you are getting yourself in shape to go see Mickey!! I think I'll start picturing myself walking up to the Main Street Bakery or walking up to the Dole Whip stands...

Thanks for all of the snack ideas. I'm pretty boring when it comes to snacks & all I ever eat are a few almonds. Almonds are supposed to be good for you though ;) The presliced apples are a good idea too, I hate cutting up fruit which is why I never eat it.

I actually did pretty good yesterday. Lots of exercise, lots of water & ate really healthy. I was proud of myself because I never drink water & I usually eat on the run so I don't always make the best choices.

Keli-glad you are going to join the exercise challenge. It's kind of fun keeping track of minutes, I've never done that before now. I think it pushes me a little bit harder so that I can reach that end #

I saw something on MSN.com yesterday about "the Secret" and just quickly read through it. Seemed like an interesting concept.

Okay, so this is a really crazy idea...I was sitting at work yesterday thinking about which diet is really the best & healthiest way to lose weight. Then I remembered that my old boss did a fast that consisted of water, lemons, syrup & cayan pepper for 14 days and lost about 28 pounds. I love food so I don't think I can actually do this, but as I started reading about it, I read that Beyonce Knowles did this diet for her role in Dreamgirls & she did it for 10 days at lost 20 pounds. Has anyone ever tried this? I'm just curious about it, don't think I would do it, but it is supposed to help cleanse the body. I'm sure the weight you lose is primarily water weight, so you probably gain a lot back. Just curious how you can eat nothing & survive without being absolutely famished....:confused3

This is going to sound sick- but is it basically, cleansing your colon? I used to work for a health supplement company and they were all into colon cleansing and whatnot. Uh, no thanks- I don't want a hose up my booty! BUT you lose quite a few pounds after you do it- pretty gross stuff!
 
Yuck!! That sounds so gross. There is no way I could do that. I want to lose weight, but not that bad :rotfl: I'll take it easy & keep doing the healthy diet/exercise thing. :)

subscribing! Just wanted to join in on the weight loss fun! I just started a bareactric weight loss center last week, so I found this thread just in time! I lost 50+ pounds about 2 years ago going to a different weight loss center but I had to drive over an hour every 2 weeks to get to it so I decided to try this local clinic....we'll see. Ofcourse I slowly gained all the weight back over the past couple years and I could just KICK MYSELF! Anyway cant wait to star losing ALL this weight! Good luck everyone!
