I almost had BK tonite. My wallet was in DD's diaper bag and I didn't have DD so I couldn't. But I was close! Just so hungry...and craving ketchup!

It's going to suck for me too...I think the scale has gone UP this week instead of down. :sad2:

I did good tonight.

I did the elliptical for 35 minutes 2.25 miles and then did a 40 minute walk with my family after that. :banana:
 
subscribing! Just wanted to join in on the weight loss fun! I just started a bareactric weight loss center last week, so I found this thread just in time! I lost 50+ pounds about 2 years ago going to a different weight loss center but I had to drive over an hour every 2 weeks to get to it so I decided to try this local clinic....we'll see. Ofcourse I slowly gained all the weight back over the past couple years and I could just KICK MYSELF! Anyway cant wait to star losing ALL this weight! Good luck everyone!

While my food choices haven't been the best this week I am SO proud of myself. I have done some kind of workout all week :cool1:

The scale has gone down - at least enough to cover the weight I gained last week :lmao:

This week will probably suck for me too. I'm just not losing the pounds very quickly...my jeans are starting to feel loser though, so that is a good sign right? I need to measure. I think Cat suggested that in the beginning, I just have not done it yet.

I went to the clinic today to weigh in, and Im down 3 pounds this week:woohoo: They put me on these pills that are suppose to help with my hunger today, so I'll see in 1 week from today if there helping or not--I sure hope so cause IM HUNGERY ALL THE TIMEpopcorn:: LOL
 
DEFINITELY measure. The thing is- since everyone is exercising too- you will be putting on muscle, which weighs more then fat. So while you might lose more weight initially if you just dieted- exercising and dieting is a lot better because muscle burns more calories so when you aren't working out, you are burning more calories just sitting and doing normal things around the house.

I am bushed. I did 50 minutes today and am just exhausted. Will fill up my water jug in a moment. I'm pretty sure I'll be up a pound from last week, but I'm taking it in stride- AF is a witch and really screwed with my eating habits! BUT I've still worked out- so I've gotta be proud of that!

I bought some protein shakes last night and protein bars- someone told me to try them since I'm working out so much. Said it might curb my appetite and will help build muscle, I think? Plus, I stocked up on jello and fat free whip cream.

I also made my motivation area- across from my elliptical are my 35 Mickey Heads and the map of WDW underneath it- 35 pounds to go.



As far as how much weight we are losing, ladies- let's face it, the media sets us up for failure. How many of us have seen 'The Biggest Loser'? These people are losing 12-15 pounds per WEEK. Of course, we all say to ourselves, 1-2 pounds a week is healthy and the best way to keep it off- but the media feeds us otherwise. It's in the back of our heads that we should be able to drop weight like *snap* that. Well, that's just not true- and not healthy either. If you don't lose any weight this week or next week or the following week- or three weeks in a row!- but you are eating better and working out, do you think you are healthier then you were before you started this challenge? OF COURSE, you are! :banana:
 
I have to agree with your post disneyaprilfool.....I gave up drinking cokes about a month ago and didnt see any sign of weight loss (what I was hoping for) But like you said its about becomeing more healthy and making better chioces fro our bodies. Therefor why go back to doing unheathly things when our bodies are already geeting use to being healthier just because we dont see immidiate weight loss:confused: I know I want to become more healthy for the rest of my life, not just the time being so Im gonna keep trying even if I dont get the results I want right away;)

I am going through the same thing. I'm usually addicted to Diet Dr. Peppers & drink a couple a day. I've given up pop as of Sunday 5/6 and it has been really hard. The first couple days I had headaches. I've probably been a lot moodier too, but in the long run I hope that eliminating the pops will help me to be a healthier person. Awesome job on the workout! You are doing so great!! :) I totally agree w/ what you are saying. It's like if I lose 1 or 2 pounds I'm actually pissed off because I wanted to lose 3 or 5. Professionals suggest 1-2 pounds a week for a healthy loss, but shows like the biggest loser or celebrity fit club make me want to lose soooo much more. I should be happy & thankful that I'm losing some weight, and even if I don't lose weight 1 or 2 weeks I know that I am working out, eating healthier & taking steps to be a much healthier (& happier) person.
 
OK, so I was just upstairs "re-weighing" for today... and yes, I am also up1-2 pounds!!!! So, since everyone I know that weighed today is up a pound or so... do you think it has something to do with like the position of the earth or something???? That's what I'm going with and sticking to it!!!!!;)
