Watch Out People !! ~ BEWARE ~ Slim Mojito Monkey Partying People In Progress !!

Well i'm on a roll....I'm doing good so far. it's lunch time and all I've had so far is a cappacino. I know, lots of fat in it but that makes up for me not eatting anything this morning.
NOw it's lunch time....time to go see what I can find that is healthy...maybe a cup of brown rice for lunch. Yuck.... but oh well I can look forward to a yummy supper at least.

OMGosh I have to say that your own personal website is so amazing. I love the baby sitting up and the newborn in the mesh. Very nice photos. Any chance on wanting to do a photo session with Kendyll in Disney???:rolleyes1

Thanks you for the compliment  I have considered bringing my stuff to Disney but we'll see what happens.... I would love to get great pictures while I am there but HATE the idea of lugging that big ol camera around  Most of the time I try to just bring my point and shoot. One of my dreams would be to follow a family around MK and just capture their day, expressions, ect. How fun would that be ?!

Funny story though. The first year I had my fancier Digital SLR camera I brought it to Disney. It was a few years ago so I bet it was when Austin was 5 or 6. He wasn't feeling really good that day so I rented a stroller for him that day and still lugged him around Magic Kingdom.

We were over near the exit of Fantasyland where you head into Frontierland. It's a bit of a hill and slopes downward. My camera was hanging off the back of the stroller. Somehow I knocked it off with my hand ( I have NO idea how !) and it smashed to the ground :scared1:

I let go of the stroller to grab my camera and inspect/mourn the damage. Austin went rolling down the hill in the stroller and I was so concerned with the camera in the moment I hadn't noticed right away :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Dan had broken his ankle and was still in a walking cast - he went hobbling/jogging after Austin who was picking up speed at that point !! :lmao:

I was so in shock I think I just kneeled there with my mouth wide open. :scared1:

My parents and brother were with us and when it was all done we could NOT stop laughing :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

On the other hand - even though Austin wasn't feeling well, I think that may have been Austin's favorite ride of the whole trip. He said afterwards he just thought that maybe my 20yo brother had taken the stroller from me and started running ( which he was been known to do being silly !) :scared:

My family still remind me of that day that I "abandoned" my son for my camera ! :lmao: My excuse was that I forgot we were on a hill and I wasn't use to have a stupid stroller anyway !!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I have a question~~For those of you who are familiar with low-carb diets, are avocados low in carbs? I know they are high in fat, but the good fat right?

Thanks~ Becky :)

Put me down. I've lost 18 pounds since the beginning of Feb but need to lose another 20..well maybe more but I'll settle for 20.

Amazing anyone can do 1 workout I can't even imagine 2. :scared1: The only excersise I'm doing is running up 2 flights of stairs at work, once a day. I really need to start doing something.

My reason besides health..As I was walking up the stairs ahead of DH he says "honey your starting to look like your mother from the back. :scared1:  Let's just say mom is a pear shape.

So good luck to all of us.

I am so glad you are going to join us !!

OMG - my husband would not want to say something like that to me. He would have to turn around and run !!

See, I asked her too! If she brought her equiptment, or sent it down, I think she could be MAKING money on this trip!;)

Haha - you get to your goal and I'l consider it

# one reason I want to be a looser:goodvibes it's to just feel better all around.

Haven't done to bad today...although I didn't manage to fit in a workout again. DH is working late and with me working today as well...I had to rush home for the kids. After all I can only leave them locked in the house alone for so long;)

Anywho...food intake has been good but it's still early. So far I'm well within my point limit though.

You are doing great !! Keep up the good work !! :woohoo:

UGH! So I did so good today and tonight, I just ate a big thing of rice with soy sauce on it! The rice- not so bad, but not great in calories. The soy? All of that salt will make me retain water like crazy!!! But I'm HUNGRY! LOL!

Drink more water - it'll flush it right out of your system.

contemplating on a scope of ice cream :confused3

Soooooo, how did you do with the ice cream ? :confused3

Lori - GREAT job!!!! Thanks ! for doing the spreadsheet you little type A girlie you!!!!!:)

Oh you have Noooo idea just how "type A" I am :lmao:

good morning... no no ice cream last nite.... I took 1 dibs and a big glass of water and went to bed.. todays another day though :scared1:

Yay for Timmy for making the right choice :cool1:

Hi everyone! Glad to hear we are really doing this. All your posts keep me motivated! I am sticking to low carb for now, and (I know that I shouldn't but it also keeps me motivated one way or the other) since I weigh myself like constantly, see the scale dropping already! Yippiee! :cool1:

So, last night we went out and I had steak tips, chicken breast combo with a double order of carrots. I'm really not even sure what low carb is, besides I am cutting out bread, crackers, sugars, fruits, potatoes, is there anything else I should know about????:confused3 Guess I have to do some research, but any help I can get I am asking you for! Thanks!

Great Job ladies!:goodvibes

I don't know anything about low carbing but it sounds like you are on the right track.

I love my carbs way too much to cut them out

I am going to the gym today and will have my trainer do my measurements and my BMI. I have lost nearly 60lbs since Jan 2005:thumbsup2 but would LOVE to lose 25-30 by 8/30.

I will PM my results later today, I'm SO excited to join this group and attain my goal. All of your posts are super motivating and I look forward to all the hard work to come!

ps...I also think the $5 should go for drinks, but count me in regardless:banana:

60 lbs ?! Wow !! You are my hero ! That's amazing :woohoo: Good job !!

NOOOOOO CARROTS !! or corn. Those are both big no no's on the low carb diet. Just think GREEN.. you can have anything green and in the fruit catagory, any type of mellon or berry. I am doing the low carb also:hug: I did it two years ago and lost 15 pounds in 5 weeks.. 20 carbs a day for the first 2 weeks.

Yesterday I had:

Hard boiled egg @ 6:30 (get your metabolizem going)

Eggbeaters w/salsa & sausages @ 8:30

Southbeach Maple bar =snack

Marinated chicken thighs x 2 small salad w/ranch @ 12:30

Steak & Asparagas w/baslamic vinagerette baked @ 5:00

Sugarfree jello w/coolwhip

Under 20 carbs:banana:

Wow - you did GREAT !! :cool1:

Good morning~I didn't get much of a chance to post yesterday. We had a really scary incident at work and had to evacuate our campus (I work for Portland Community College) so I wasn't near a computer for most of the day.

I did pretty good yesterday. We drove to the Oregon coast, which was a fun drive. Had dinner at the coast (salmon & a salad) and had 2 hard-boiled eggs for breakfast yesterday. Realized that I skipped lunch but I think that lunch occured during the evacuation at work so I didn't even think about it.

I'm off of work today so I'm hoping to get to the gym in the next hour or so. I'm going to try & get at least 60 minutes in.

I'm thinking about doing a low-carb diet but not sure yet. My DH eats whatever he wants & I'm afraid trying to do low-carb in the same house as him will be very hard for me. It seems like the best way to lose a large amount of weight though.

I hope everything is Ok at work ! Glad to hear it was just a scare

You didn't screw up as much as me ;) I had a Blizzard from DQ last night. Okay, okay- I know- bad, bad, bad- but we only manage to get DQ like once every 4-5 MONTHS! (It's no where near the house and no one ever wants to drive 40 minutes to get ice cream and bring it home!).

Today is another day though!

So today and tomorrow- they are REALLY important days, ladies, for our weigh-in on Friday!!! So no matter what- STICK WITH IT through today and tomorrow and the scale SHOULD reward you!!! (And if it doesn't- you'll get rewarded next week :rotfl: )

Already worked out today. Gotta go take a shower!@

Mmmmmm DQ !! One splurge every once in awhile is not a bad thing !! Just make sure you keep making good choices in general.

Not doing low carb, but lower carb...carrots are a good carb! Corn and peas, not so much. But carrots are better than bread.

I'm doing great! I had a bite of a mozzerella stick:sick: last night, but I'm good. Whoever said that 2 day thing is brilliant...it really helps!

Yesterday I had yogurt for b-fast, trail mix (7 almonds-sliced, 2 tbsp raisins, and 1/2 banana's worth of dried banana), Healthy Choice lunch, 7 carrot sticks, 1 cup lettuce (with lt. dressing), protein bar, some more dried bananas, Lean Pocket, another protein bar.

Today I'm down a pound!

Hooray !! :cool1:

Well i'm on a roll....I'm doing good so far. it's lunch time and all I've had so far is a cappacino. I know, lots of fat in it but that makes up for me not eatting anything this morning.

Good Job !! It sounds like your on a roll today !! :cool1:

Question of the day

What plan are you going to follow to lose weight ?

/
Ok -
I'll go first. I am doing Weight Watchers. I like that I can essentially eat anything I want as long as I budget for it throughout the day.
I have used it before - and when I actually follow it- I lose the weight !

Now - I just have to keep myself accountable and make sure I follow it. Yesterday I didn't have the best day. I didn't excersize and I didn't make the best food choices.

Today is a new day though and I have done great today. I just had an egg beaters omlet with lowfat cheese, mushrooms, onions and fresh tomatoes on it. It was YUMMY !

I have a question~~For those of you who are familiar with low-carb diets, are avocados low in carbs? I know they are high in fat, but the good fat right?

Thanks~ Becky :)

yes ma'am they are...;)

Not doing low carb, but lower carb...carrots are a good carb! Corn and peas, not so much. But carrots are better than bread

There is a huge difference between doing Atkins, Southbeach or just doing a lower carb diet.

On Atkins, for the first 2 weeks ONLY. CARROTS are on the no no list as well as all fruit, nuts, beans etc.... If it's not a green veggie, don't eat it.. As for milk, look at the back of the carton, Milk has more carbs then cream.

Like i said, this is on atkins..

QOTD: I am trying low carb until our trip in May. Then I may switch to WW again. I am not sure. I just know I can't do low carb long term, but it does work so fast! I told CAT I would try it until May.... it's only 22 more days!!! If I can see a light at the end of the tunnel, I can make it through.

LORI! We have to put you in the mojito dress up pagent as a cheerleader! Thanks for all the cheering on! I know I really need it! I am such a quitter when it comes to food!!!!!:confused3

Hello everyone!!!
Today has been good so far! I did some ab work and stretching this morning. And I had my protein shake for breakfast and some carrots for a snack. I plan on going for another walk this evening. I heard somewhere that it is better to do short bursts of exercise than none at all. So even if you only have 5 - 10 minutes get up and do something!!! Take a walk around the block, so outside and pull some weeds, do a few crunches, etc. MOVING is the key. You gotta move more and eat right!!!! You all are doing GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone was talking about carbs, and I wanted to let you know that I read a few books about Carbs and one thing that I read that was a great idea, is if you are going to say eat fruit, do it on an empty stomach and with nothing else. So like an apple for a snack. Fruit is soooo good for you, but high in natural sugars. If you use fruit wisely it adds a huge benefit to your diet!! Just a thought.

QOTTD!! Well I am LOW carbing. Not cutting all carbs out. Eliminating most suagr and "white" foods from my diet. NO SODA, not even diet. Exercising even if for only a few minutes everyday. Which includes cardio 3x per week and stretching, etc 5 times a week. I will start a Yoga program on Friday as well. :thumbsup2

You guys are doing awesome!!!! Keep up the good work!

QOTD: I'm doing WW too! So Lori & I will be racking up the points with the Mojotos! hahaha:lmao: :lmao:

Today was a good day for me too so far....Did 45 minutes on the elliptical...might go to yoga tonight.

I do need to watch it even on WW...I tend to use all my points for carbs! That's still bad! So I'm working on changing it...

I am doing Atkins and let me tell ya.. the CARB withdrawls are horrible the first 4 days.. OMG I am having the hardest time  . But the silver lining is having done this a couple of years ago, I know it works for me. If I can get thru the first two weeks the rest is easy:yay: . I lost 15 pounds in 5 weeks last time. I feel sorry for my DH right now:scared: I cannot be easy to live with.. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:scared:

Midday laugh! :goodvibes

Well I did good today. I did alittle extra walking and skipped breakfast other than a cappacino and for lunch I just had 3 orange slices. I'm saving the other slices for tonight as a snack when I need it.

I had 1 oz of apple juice adding in as a lite flavour in my 14 oz glass of water.
For supper I plan on eatting about a cup size of lasagna for supper. That should put me at my intake limit for the day.

My biggest plan for me is that when I'm really hungry I'm just going to come out here and write out lines..." I do not need to eat food for no reason; I will eat food only when I am seriously hungry". So if you see me writting these lines out, don't laugh....it's my way of coping.

As for what diet i'm trying to follow...it's the Lannah's cut out everything diet. I know there might be times where I fall but hopefully I can make it up.

Today hasn't been too hard so I'm one day closer to going. Even though I'm hungry I feel gulity for wanting to eat some supper. I have to eat something to get some energy and to keep up with my 9 year old, 7 year old and 8 month old girls.

Thanks for letting me post how I felt today and for being there for me everyone.

QOTD: I am trying low carb until our trip in May. Then I may switch to WW again. I am not sure. I just know I can't do low carb long term, but it does work so fast! Youre not switching to WW. Youre not doing it.

Youre sticking with Low Carb.... it's already working, and IMO a healthier way of eating. Who wants to eat 'fake' (low-fat) foods????

And I cant do points. Before my period, Im hungry... I wanna eat, and I wanna eat A LOT.

If you low carb, you can eat as much as you want....of 'legal' foods.

COLLEEEN!!!! **shake fist** ;)
