Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

Morning! It sucks when you have to drop your kid off for school when it's still dark and not yet 7am!:headache: Fortunately Starbucks is on the way home:surfweb:

Here's a picture of the 'festive' elephant.

The one at Kmart was of the Elephant balancing the ball on his nose. Such talented elephants!!!! We could have yours and the one from Kmart and you can have a whole circus of elephants on your front lawn for Christmas. Be a trendsetter, ya know you want to be!!!!!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

:car: Can I bring this to the Walkathon instead:idea:

Think of it as a way to get rid of them sooner

Just get a big tent in the yard and no one will mind.

I think you can bring the car to the walkathon but I do not think you can use it during it.:rotfl2:

All parents are dorks...I know I'm one.

Not only am I a dork of a parent now I a am a dork grandparent. Wednesday it was necessary for me to go in school with grandchildren. DGS, 8, got out of car very fast and took off. When I asked what was wrong he told me just to walk behind him and not too close.:scared1: At least DGD (9) let me walk with her till she met up with her friends.

Just call me Dorky Gramma!:rotfl2:

DS5 begged me today to hold his hand during the walkathon. So I teased DS11 and asked if I could hold his hand too. He said not for a million bucks. Or he said he would take my million bucks but run away from me before I could hold his hand. Aww what a nice kid!:lmao:

Wow! I wonder what the husband would say if I brought that elephant home!

Morning all!!!! Long time no see on this thread

Working on my drive thru quota for the day ~ hit the bank & KFC and now I'm at my desk eating my delicious lunch that I didn't have to cook :thumbsup2

He must be part of festivus :rotfl:

hmmm...actually, you might have something there. We have a HUGE festivus celebration at work every year. Maybe coporate heard about it and is helping us get ready:lmao:

I also wonder if I can get commission on this free advertising..I mean come on. Not many would want that great decoration if I didn't plaster it on the DIS, right?:rotfl2:

M....my kids wouldn't want to hold my hand either.:sad2:
And I don't see a problem with bringing the car to a walkathon..someone has to motivate those kids to move faster:thumbsup2

OMG do any of you watch Desperate Housewives???? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: For those that don't ~ one of the moms (Gabby/Eva Longoria) has a supposed 4yo daughter who is on the heavier side (they have a big 6yo play the part) and Gabby is the type of person who is perfectly manicured, coiffed, etc. well she wants her daughter to eat less junk food and start exercising and after a kids birthday party she tells the DD that she's created a new game - she hits the gas in her car so it moves forward and just as the daughter is about to open the door she does it again so the kid has to run to keep up with the car :rotfl2: I know, dangerous IRL but it was funny watching & now I see it as a "loser" motivational tool

Um, don't you clearly see the elephant is wearing a santa cap? And it lights up. Lights + Santa hat = Christmas, thats for sure!

I was thinking the elphant was going to be balancing the ball on his trunk not him balancing on the ball. Clearly he has watched Dumbo and must therefore be not only for Christmas but also Disney inspired.

I still wonder who will buy it. And then what do you buy to coordinate with it? A big ole tiger or a clown? Maybe they are making a statement about Christmas shopping being a circus?

I also like the fact that he looks like he is levetating above the snow. Clearly he is a magic elephant. Maybe he wants to be David Blaine's assistant.

Besides we know how elephants thrive in the cold weather.

Too funny. I can't imagine seeing that as a buyer and not saying, "You gotta be freaking kidding me." I understand that people like to buy really garish and HUGE decorations but I think I will draw the line at the elephant.

On another note. I am a dork. Check the user name, I clearly have made peace with it. You all should too.

Maybe you've hit on something there! I think the elephant is AFRAID of touching the snow ~ kinda like how I feel every morning once that white junk falls & I gotta go out to the bus stop with the kids :headache: That poor elephant doesn't have any winter wear other than his cap hat & he doesn't want to freeze his feet in the snow!

ETA: Maybe Barnum & Bailey performers choose these items to decorate for the holidays???

I don't really like coffee. Do have something a little stronger? It's got to be 5:00 somewhere.:drinking1

I'll take some of this! That reminds me---I need to make sure I have some on hand for that first cold evening whhen we have a fire in the fireplace. It's a requirement then to have either a Bailey's or a White Russian with our S'mores. It may be a while though--my AC just kicked on. I didn't even think it was that warm outside. Guess I need to turn it off
