Wasted space in villas?

Last week we were in a 1 BR at BWV, myself, DH and DD. During that stay, DH commented at length about the waste of space in the bathrooms - in that amount of space, we could have had 2 bathrooms, or at least a full bath and a half bath. We do not use the jacuzzi. Getting ready for 3 of us to head out early with one shower in the same room as the only WC is difficult. For the amount of space (I would gladly give up part of the big closet and jacuzzi), could have two bathrooms and much better function. We will never stay in 1BR again. Has no real advantage over studio except for kitchen.

We think it has a huge advantage - we can put our kids to sleep on the hidebed and have the master bedroom to ourselves!

The rooms are oddly shaped. The bedroom and bath is frankly too long and skinny to make good use of space. The LR is a little tight side to side. But the br and bath have to be that long to fit the kitchen and lr in (any shorter and you'd run out of room). So they used the extra length for more bathroom.

You must be describing the BW/BC type arrangement. These are actually quite convenient, as you can reach from your jacuzzi into the kitchen for a drink or snack. Shoot, just go ahead and use the water afterwards to clean the dishes. How's that for efficient !
