Hi everyone!

We'd like to know what kinds or wash cloth or hand towel critters you have found in your rooms....

We have seen french fry critters, swans, rabbits, elephants, ducks and frogs.

More than one have hidden away in our luggage and taken up residence in our home :)

I don't think we've ever gotten them as DVCers. Maybe once. But we usually don't stay long enough for a full cleaning, and trash and towel is only one day.

We get some occasionally, usually swans or a flowery-type fold. They really aren't the norm for most DVC stays. Possibly to discourage members from taking them home, adding to resort annual dues, since the towels would need t be replaced.

We got a little chick once, fans lots of times, and Mickey's silhouette (the 3 circles) usually...octopi at VB, and there was something at HHI, shucks it was especially cute but I don't remember what it was. It's great when you're in a studio because those are EXTRA towels, washcloths. I like to keep them on the table to appreciate and then use.

From memory...

A doll (OKW, pts)
A seal, (BWV, pts)
An Elephant (AKV, pts)
A Bunny, (VWL 1 br - booked through hotel)
A pair of chicks (unsure)

and another something or another My daughter tore apart before I saw it - but it was huge!

In recent visits we've only received the standard Mickey outline on the bed. I'm not complaining - we've had our share of towel animals :goodvibes

(ETA - went back and indicated if we were staying on points or not when each was received. )

they used our complimentary soaps and some washcloths to make a mickey face on the counter...it was kind or eire when you went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and looked up to see it staring at you :)

For a minute there I thought this was another HiNi thread.

We've had a bumble bee, a little duck and a few others on the bathroom counter or in the entrance to the villa. But we leave them for the next guest. Unless we need the towels and wash cloths. Then we take them apart and use them.

We've gotten towel animals almost every trip - something when we check in and usually more on trash & towel day (we do leave a tip). The most elaborate was at OKW about two years ago - there were towel animals everywhere!

It seems like we've gotten more "safari-type" animals at AKV and "sea-life" type animals at VB.

I've seen bunnies, an octopus, lobster, turtle, penguins, elephant, swans. We love the towel animals.

Here's my daughter posing with the pig we found in our SSR room last month:

We also had a critter at the BoardWalk but I don't think I got a photo of it can't can't recall what it was.

We've always received towel animals on our DVC trips, they're already in the room when we check in. We've received an elephant at Animal Kingdom Villas and a cute turkey holding a baby turkey at Vero Beach. We've also received some other unidentifiable critters that are very cute at Wilderness Lodge Villas. I've seen the large Mickey head towel animal at a few resorts too. :goodvibes

I forgot, turtles, we've gotten turtles at VB too!

My daughter just reminded me that we had a gingerbread man in our BoardWalk villa last month. Also got the large Mickey head on our bed at AKV.

For the longest time we never had any towel animals during our DVC stays but I think the last 3 trips (which included about 5 separate resort check-ins) we have consistently gotten them. :)

OKW-Seal, Duck several times on the mantle as you walk in!
AKV-Big Mickey made up of 3 hand towels like the one pictured
BWV-something but can't remember what it was.

On our trip in September at BLT, we got a little chick at check in. I put a $5 tip under the chick on the kitchen island and when we got back that day, there was a fish. I took the fish home and it sits in my downstairs 1/2 bath :-D

We just got back from Kidani Village last week and upon arrival we were greeted with a "butterfly" washrag. :goodvibes

We just returned from Kidani and also had a butterfly washcloth when we checked in. I think on the nightstand. There was also something in the bathroom (rolled towels with pipe cleaner decorations).
