When you look back and reflect on this past year, was it everything you thought it would be? Was there something special or not so special? I know what I'll remember this year for. Why will you remember this year?
Here's to 2003! Best wishes, hope everyone has a good 2003

My second DISCON made 2002 very special

My second DISCON made 2002 very special

I will remember 2002 as the year of dental problems and Vicodin!

This was a very good year!!!!

My family is happy and healthy.
I went to WDW.
I met some awesome on-line friends while in WDW.
I changed jobs.
I have the best DD in the world!!!!!

I could go on and on, but I won't. :D

This was about as bad a year as I've ever had:

FIL passed away suddenly
BIL lost his job 2 weeks after his father died (he's still out of work -- since July :()
DS in and out of the hospital with asthma problems
DW possibly coming down with cancer

2003, please get here soon!!! :(:(

I'm choose not to look too closely at 2002 and to start looking forward to 2003, hoping it will be better. Can't be much worse!

Kindof an up and down year for me:

Oldest son graduated and went to college :D :(
Started a new job that I really like:D
Middle son broke his arm the day before wrestling in High school
state tournament :(
Middle son wrecked his knee the day before leaving for wrestling
nationals :(
My parents are in great health:D
My husband got a new job that he likes:D
My youngest son finally "matured" a lot and is so much more fun
to be around now!:D :D :D
I got a new car this week :D :D :D
But, overall, we are happy, secure, and in a home filled with love, what more could I want??? So I'd say a great year!:D

I have had a great year!
A few trips to WDW
A trip to Costa Rica
My DH's niece finally moved out of our home. The strain she put on our marriage was unbelievable but we are now like newly weds.
We lost my FIL but he was in so much pain though so while we miss him it is nice to know hw is not suffering.
We have had some health scares but thankfully all the family is home and no one is hospitalized at this time.
I love my job.
:)

Yes, the good outweighed he bad. It's been a good year.

Although, there are a few more days left.

I changed alot this year, and for the better. Had my ups and downs.............overall it was decent

Well, my year took me through a pregnancy; the loss of our perfectly healthy son when my water broke when I was twenty weeks pregnant; the death of one of my best friends from cancer at 33 one month later (and fifteen hours before I arrived for a visit with her!); and on the day of her funeral, the death of our very close friend Timothy Findley (a noted author here in Canada).

It was the most difficult time of my life, but I would never say that it was a bad year. These experiences taught me many things, I feel that I am a stronger and better person for them. I still get sad and overwhelmed by it all sometimes, but life is full of lessons that we learn from and then take with us as we move forward. Pretty amazing, actually, the good that can come out of the bad. I am hoping for a tragedy-free 2003 though! Happy holidays! :D

This was a very trying year for me (it's getting better and better as it ends though).... Next year is going to be a GREAT year I can feel it!

This year SO and I moved far away from the only state I had ever lived in. I still miss my family, and I miss WDW oh so very much. Indy is a nice place, and I am happy with the area I live in, but it isn't the same as FL. My relationship with my mother has improved soooo much since I no longer live in the same state with her. Not that it was terrible before, but now I think we really appreciate the time we spend together, and can have a whole lot of fun! My mother travelled up here for a week this summer, and I went down to FL this fall for almost a month on vacation (spending a week at WDW!!!! and my first stay at POR) We are travelling to FL the week of Christmas and when we get back we are getting a puppy (which I am excited about). We have also been discussing building a house. We already have the builder and the floor plan picked out, we are only waiting to determine if SO might get transferred again any time soon (which would obviously interfer with house building plans). I have been looking for a job since moving up here, but haven't had any developements. I don't need a job, so we aren't hurting because of this, I just want one to occupy some of my time while I finish my degree. My family and friends are all healthy, so I am really thankful for that. I am looking forward to 2003. My mother and I have already started discussing our travel plans for the summer of 2003, and the prospects are looking great!!! (Disney cruise/land vacation, trip to California, trip to Europe, either London or France, or a trip to Japan....I am leaning most towards Japan myself. My mother has never been out of the country, other than to islands or Canada, and would love to travel internationally, so that is probably what we will do).

In total 2002 has brought about a lot of changes in my life, some good, some bad. I would give this year a 6 on a scale of 1-10!!! ;) ;)

Yes, this was a mixed year for me.

Lowlights:
Disabling intractable migraines and other medical problems for both DH and I
--actually I guess that is the only lowlight; it just seems to overwhelm everything else

Highlights:
A 2-week trip to Hawaii for our 10th anniversary
A couple of trips to Disneyland
Getting even closer to DH because of our health problems
Pain pills (LOL)

Minnie, I'm sorry to read of the loss of your mother:( .

In that regard, I have a much narrower view than most of you. Those who SURVIVE 2002 have the richest gift of all compared to those whom we have lost...........WE HAVE LIFE!!!!!!! Hopefully we'll all use it to the fullest:D :D :D :D. The loved ones whom we've left behind will be in our hearts until our dying day..........

I was doing good in 2002 until Friday the 13th of September

I fractured my foot and I've been on crutches since then. :(

But I see that many of you have had much worse problems. I sure hope 2003 is better for all of us.

There's been some good; two trips to WDW, joining DVC. But the bad outweighs the good because Gene's Mom died this year. We're really going to miss her on Christmas, she used to come over early in the morning and watch the kids open their presents.

Very costly year. Everything broke down. Our truck needed a new transmission (which in itself is a huge cost), we remodeled our bathroom. Just a lot of money down the toilet. That's how I'll remember it.
