was this a good year?

2002 will be remembered as the year that I realized that a job wasn't more important than my family. Even though that job change brought a huge cut in pay and impacted our finances horribly. (I hate to think of tax time)!

But I have a better job with more possibilities, I am healthy and have a wonderful family! The arguments are forgotten! AND I got to meet some of my yaya sisters and other diser's!

It truly has been a year of blessings and I can only look forward to 2003!

The first half of 2002 was easily the worst year of my life....

the second half has just about made up for it, although nothing can quite make up for parts.

2003 looks quite promising

I realize how little time many of us have for reading. However, if you've never read this book, please make a RESOLUTION to do so in 2003 . You WON'T be DISappointed!!!!

Wilder has written a simple story which truly captures the essence of LIFE!!!!!!! EROS has even been an actor in two productions of this wonderful play .......

I love Our Town, it is truly wonderful.

My life has also had positives and negatives this past year....some were quite a surprise too. Just like many others, I'm greatful for a healthy family, a nice home and good friends.

I don't look at them as good or bad years. Unpleasant things happened this year and we just learned that something more will happen most likely by the end of the year but there were happy times too.

No matter what happens, I still lead a very charmed life compared to millions of people throughout the world. We have a home where we are safe, we have food on our table, the love of friends and family. I have lost friends and family this year but their memories live in my heart and mind and never fail to make me smile and appreciate the time I had with them though I miss them terribly.

I have so much...it's hard to say any year is a bad year when I get to have all that.

Any time I can wake up 365 days in a row I consider a real good year.
If I wake up all 365 times and am still able to move all my body parts and have most of my senses I consider my year to be a huge success!

My mom died in 2002. That is the worst that happened. I also spent a fortune in vet bills.

My DH just got a small promotion, my kids are healthy, my dad is ok, my sister began to speak to me again, we still have our jobs. So I still have many things to be thankful for. But, I still miss my mom.

2002 was a long year.

The Bad:
Our Van blew up (literally)
DS was biten by our dog had to have stiches
DH got passed up for several promotions (he's too young they told him)
DS cut his head open at school had to have stiches
I was really sick in Sept had to be hospitalized
My grandmother died suddenly a month ago
I was stung by a bee on Monday had to go to the er

The Good:
We are expecting a DD in 2003, this miracle totaly washes away most of the bad. I just wish my gram would be here to welcome her new great--grand daughter into the world but i know she watching over her now.

For my family, yes. We are all home.. we are all safe.. we all are healthy.. we have food and shelter.. we have each other.. no body lost a job or is experiancing anything too awful financially.

For my friends, mostly. Everyone is healthy and safe.

Not much else matters if you have your health and your family and friends... which I do. I realize how lucky I am and I'm thankful every single day!

I am very sorry for all the lost family members, and all the hard times experianced by many on the DIS. Hang in there. Good luck in 2003 to everyone!

This year definitely wasn't my greatest. The beginning of the year was the end of my senior year and things weren't going too great for me. In the summer things started getting better for me and I was actually happy for once. After I started college, things started going bad for me again. Just recently I thought things would be better but they just got worse since I'm dealing with a lot of things right now.

I need to have a good year, I hope 2003 will be a lot better!
