I was researching some navigators from current cruises and I don't see a pirate night buffet on any of them. Was this event removed ? I had not heard anything about this .

If you looked at Fantasy Navigators, maybe the Pirate party buffet was replaced by the SWDAS buffet.

It seems some of the craziness is the fact that they have some offerings on that buffet that you cannot get any other time during the cruise like the Mexican choices.

We looked for it on the Magic in March and it wasn't there. Maybe it's gone now?

Also, it can be easy to miss while there. After the fireworks, they go into a "dance party" type thing on the deck. The Pirate Buffet is DURING that dancing. If you were to hang out and dance, thinking that it is part of the Pirate Fireworks show, you can easily miss the Buffet which only lasts like 30-45 minutes.

Also, like with all other DCL buffets, you don't have to start at the beginning. You are welcome to walk up to any station that interests you and be behind anyone else who is already at that station. Some people see a line at the beginning and feel they must wait in it, or they walk away because the don't wish to wait, but unless you want whatever is first, you don't have to wait there. CMs will come along and tell people this ,but not every minute, and some people just prefer to wait, so the line remains. This also makes it appear more crowded than it actually is.

I recommend going in and getting some seats, and then hit the buffet from the back or middle. Taco bar, Potato bar, lots of desserts, etc. Good times.

The one time I walked through the feeding frenzy (I want shark fin hats given to everyone as they crowd through the door because that is what it is), the line “remained” because no one could move ANYWHERE in there. I didn’t even try to get food or go near the line and it took me 30 minutes just to escape.

Has anyone attended the buffet since March 2018? We have gone a few times but in March, it wasn't there. When I checked my Navigator, it doesn't list the buffet under Late Night Snacks like it always did and we went to Cabanas and it definitely wasn't happening. Just wondering...I loved the baked potato bar lol.
