Coming back from the parks 1 day to the WL DS got sick in the bushes - not sure if it was exhaustion, heat, something he ate or too much park time
How can we make sure we take our breaks and not overdo it?
How do you keep an eye on what they're eating?
Thats part of the reason Im planning on making lunch PS after mornings in the parks - they force us to stop even though they arent fun to always plan around.
Ive read about always carrying water, mister fans, pool time, etc
I guess some of those other park days I need to have some type break planned so the days arent too long
How long do your kids sleep at night?

When we go, we always break our park days in 2 chunks. We wake up early in the morning around 7am, have a light breakfast, go to the park until lunch time. After lunch we go back to the hotel, take a light nap or go swimming until it's time for dinner PS which is usually around 5 or 6pm, then after dinner we go back to the parks until around 10pm. Then it's bedtime.

Did the whole family stay together all the time, or did DS go off on his own?

The illness you suggest is most likely cuased by something dirty in what he ate, or perhaps he wolfed down his food too fast without adequate chewing, or maybe he overate, or everyone got up and got going too vigorously too soon after eating (remember the adage, don't swim for an hour after eating).

You can pace the family to sit down somewhere in the park every now and then, and to take it slow after meals.

Or maybe it was nothing more than motion sickness, even on a Disney bus.
