Warm thoughts to get us through the storm

We had a blizzard warning here last night into this morning and not sure what the big deal was. maybe 6 inches here as well, the winds were gusting pretty good. I think they hyped it up way to much.

It's been snowing hard here since about 10:30 last night. In the last hour or two it has started to come down a little harder. We are right on Lake Ontario and usually get more than other areas. Naturally, our snow blower is not functioning properly so we have shoveled 4 times already. The absolute best part was when the plow came by and dumped a pile of snow from the main street right in my driveway. It was at least 3ft high and heavy.

So...I've come back in and sat down with a cup of tea and some nice chocolate cookies and my Dis friends. :surfweb:

I walked to work this morning (30 minutes) and by the look of the cars when I walked home, it paid off. I Love a snow storm! Time to get the snowblower going! :lovestruc

Bwahahahahaha! Sorry...couldn't help myself. I'm just so happy that we aren't getting any more snow in Alberta! I feel all of your pain. We went through this a couple of weeks ago, and the city still hasn't gotten to our side streets! We are literally living in snow...I don't remember this much snow in a really long time!

I packed a briefcase yesterday with work to do at home, not just because of the snow, I have a broken ankle and two days at my desk was a little rough on it, so home today then work two then home for the weekend.

I broke a wrist in December, an ankle in January, hopefully these things don't come in 3's. My husband will divorce me, he has been a trooper with helping.

Soooo True ChrisJo :thumbsup2 I am so tired of the winter Alberta has been pounded with. Thankfully my flight is DIRECT and not headed anywhere near Toronto on my way to Orlando!!!

Only one more work day (tomorrow) and on Friday night we are headed out on the WJ Direct Red-eye flight from Edmonton!! Those plus temps came at no better time, so happy we'll get out of here!!! :goodvibes

We got about 20 cm here in Montreal.
But on the bright side... no shaddow today so early spring!:)

I'm always a little confused about the groundhog thing. Wouldn't 6 weeks more of winter be a good thing? That would mean spring the middle of March! It always snows even a little in April.

But supposedly if he doesn't see his shadow spring will be earlier than that. :thumbsup2
