We will be traveling w/a little one that stills needs a "baba" of warm milk before bedtime. Is there a place to warm up some milk on the ship?

Also if we buy the mug, does milk qualify as a free refill?

I don't know about warming the milk but there is a 24 hour free milk station on deck 9 by the Mickey Pool.

Hi, Diznymagic,

We had the same question before our cruise (and OUR little one called it a baba, too!) and what we decided to do was take advantage of the difference in setting and routine to hope she would forget about it and "outgrow" it. That night when they got into the bunk beds, everything was new and different and fun, and when she asked for her baba, I said "Oh, there are no babas on the DISNEY SHIP! Isn't this FUN?!" and she was OK with that. She didn't ask for it again until the first night we were back at home and being tucked into bed. I said something about how she was a BIG GIRL now since she went on the DISNEY SHIP and there were no more babas, and just kept being firm, and it worked. She was a little sad, and I was a little sad, too, but it was as good a time to leave bottles behind as any.

If you are not ready to give it up, which is fine, remember there is no dishwasher in the stateroom, so either bring enough bottles, or bring a bottle brush and detergent and wash it in the sink. Have a great trip!

Try warming the bottle by running hot water in the sink, I frequently did this sort of thing when my dd's were infants. It's usually enough to knock the chill off and get the milk to about room temp. If your child likes it on the warm side, you would probably have to drain the water and run hot water back in.

Milk is free at the 24-hour beverage counter so there is no need to buy a mug for it!

I know this isn't free like the milk on deck 9, but we have found that Parmalot (sp?) in the little boxes is good for our son because it doesn't need to be refrigerated. He drinks it room temp. with no problem. It's very convenient, and if you don't use it on the ship, you can take it home. I keep one in my diaper bag just in case :)

We cruised last September with friends from England. They ordered warm milk and chocolate chip cookies from Room Service almost every night. If adults can get warm milk, I'm pretty sure that Disney would be delighted to serve the younger guests!

I also used the cruise as a perfect way to get my daughter off the bottle. I told her that they didn't allow baba on the ships and if she wanted to go then she couldn't have any and she was just fine with that! She got milk every night from room service but not warm or in a baba

We will be going on our cruise in August with DD 1 1/2 and we just got her off the baba and onto the sippy cup. DISers told me about the disposable sippy cups that "The First Year" makes. This is a great option for those of us who tend to lose bottles or sippy cups. Plus I've got DD 3 1/2 who will also want her sippy cup everyday as well. As an added bonus, I won't have to wash bottles on our vacation! YEA!! You can get these at any Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Babies'R/Toys'R Us or major grocery chain.
