Another product you can check out is the Rival Hot Pot Express. Its specifically designed to heat up to 32 oz. of liquids quicker than a microwave.I used the one Ive had for 15 years last week instead of a crock pot to heat up the Muir Glen Chicken Noodle Soup. It worked great.
Im thinking of using it instead of my microwave for the Pink for the Cure demo that has us using a microwave to heat up the Progresso Soup.
Do you remember how much it was? I would much rather get something like that than haul the microwave in, I'm doing the same demo the 28th.
I met PrincessMichelle today![]()
This was my first ST event and I am in love with it. OMG talk about peaceful. There was a corporate MC person there. It threw me for a loop let me tell you. She mentioned that they were thinking about raising FL pay again. Not sure yet though. I had sausage and somehow gave out 220 samples of the stuff. I was getting 7 samples per sausage. 5 sausages per package and 6 packages samples. Not bad
The corporate MC person took my oh-so-attractive picture and complimented all us CC people mutliple times. I'm sure I'll look great considering the coat goes past my wrists and nearly hangs to my knees.

Well tommorrow is smore's bites. At least I know where to go.
I just did a super quick search on google & amazon has it for about $15. There were also lots of used ones. Must be all the DISers who bought them to use in hotel rooms.![]()

Rival also makes a 1.5 qt crockpot according to Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Rival-White-C...?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1192405076&sr=1-19
THIS is an electric kettle which more people buy. http://www.amazon.com/Proctor-Silex...B00023XCWS/ref=pd_sbs_k_1/104-6008842-0474312 DON'T buy this because the heating coil is exposed to the liquid making it hard to clean. Its meant only to heat water.
I'm going to check another Walmart. Can also try ordering on walmart.com (if they carry it) & having it sent to the store.
I'm super tired, poor Mrs. Reese, she is still working! They asked her to work another event tonight because someone didn't show I guess. She was happy though, she was dancing like this ---->when they asked her! LOL

Oh LanaJae dont shoot me, but I think there may be a problem using the Hot Pot for the Progresso Soup. While my DD was using the computer last night, thats why I didnt see the new messages, I was reading my Event directions for upcoming events. There are two types of Progresso Soup and they are sending us two bowls; one for each variety. We are to sample one variety the first half of the demo, switch bowls and then sample the other variety. Im pretty sure the bowls they are sending us are plastic and I really dont like heating that much liquid in plastic in the microwave. The bowl just becomes too hot to handle. I use glass at home, but wouldn't want to take glass to a demo. I wonder if I can get access to a sink at WM so I can wash the Hot Pot between varieties or maybe I could pick up another Hot Pot since the additional microwave pay would cover the cost of it.
Also, I didnt use the spout to pour my soup last week, but Im thinking the liquid would come out before the veggies/noodles just like ice from a pitcher of ice and water. The other thing I did was unplug the pot after I warmed up each can. There is no on/off switch and I didnt want to have it constantly on.
I can wash things in the meat dept. at this Super WM, they know me now. I'll just pick up a mini-ladle at the dollar store to grab some vegetables, it'll still be easier than using a bowl and I don't like to heat plastic-anything in the microwave - I've got a doctor that tells me never to cook in or cover anything with plastic.
I'm happy with the idea no matter what!![]()
I'll be at WM Saturday for the Almay Event so I'll check out and see if there's a place I can wash out my pot. The microwave takes up so much space and with the Hot Pot, I'll have more room on my table for the other product, warning signs, etc....
By the way, did you see how many cans of soup we need to purchase? Ten of each variety. Last week I went through seven cans of Chicken Noodle Soup in 4 hours on a cold, damp, night. I'm thinking 20 will be way more than I need. Might just purchase 7 of each variety.
Good idea - if we purchase less, we can alway get more up to our limit, right?
Iwanted to see if you guys had any advice. I got my mother started doing this a couple of months ago. She has about 7 future events booked. Last Thursday the site wouldn't let her log in. She called SPI to try to find out what was going on. They told her that they did not have a head shot and that she needed to email 1 to her coordinator. Also told her that her coordinator has changed from Taylor to Elizabeth, and they gave her the e-mail addy.
She had sent a pic, and she did not get an email saying to send another. I have searched her email. BUT, I went ahead and got another pic sent in for her. She had an event this past Sat. and they had told her to go ahead and do it, that she would have till Tuesday to report, and that if she sent the pic in she should have her website rights back.
She still cannot get into the site and her coordinator will not respond. She has e-mailed her a couple more times since leting her know she needed to report results.
She has an event this Wednesday, but she is not gonna do it if they don't respond.
Sorry so long, but does anybody have any other ideas. She is very upset about this, and worried that she is not going to get paid for Sat.
Thanks for reading.
Alisha
I'm glad someone brought this up. I have, in the past, before online reporting, purchased more product half way through event, but now since our "clock in and clock out" times appear automatically, won't it look like we "clocked out" before the event was over?
