LOL..ya, i just realized there is another table in that box! I'll think i'll do like you, put stuff inside the tables and microwave.

I just finished loading up all of my "crap" for tomorrow. For Meijer's STS, there actually is a table wrap. :) I'm not doing two table since this is a new store for MC and I don't know what type of reception we'll get as they do their own demos.

Hope everybody has a gread demo day tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Thats exactly my thinking also... I am going in low key.. but if they have us back... its on!

It might be too late to do this, but I had an idea about table wraps for the Salute today. If anyone still has their wrap from the Hamburger Helper/Toaster Strudel, they could cover the pictures of that with the table sign (and photo copies of it). It's only in the middle and the rest shows pictures of Boxtops 4 Education (which are on the demo products today). I saved the table wrap from that thinking the kids might want to cut out the large pictures of Boxtops 4 Education to make posters for school.

Not sure if this is a big deal (is to me lol) but I worked the CQ Walmart event on 9/7, submitted paperwork the next day. Anyway, I logged onto the online pay statements and see that the check was issued this past Weds, 9/19. Normally, I always have gotten my checks that Friday. Here it is Saturday, mail already came, and I still haven't received it. I know it's only been a few days, but like I said, usually I would've received it Friday. Since I didn't get it yesterday or today, of course, now I'm panicking that it was misdelivered (has happened before with other things) or something worse. lol I know I'm probably just being uber-paranoid, but has this happened to others - where you normally get the check by such and such date, and it just ends up late for whatever reason?

Thanks in advance! :)

(I'm in CA, by the way, if that makes a difference.)

I need some help like for real. I can't get the store reports to open up so that I can print them out. I've tried three different computers and it won't work on any of them! :(

Mine is older, still running on Windows 98 so I downloaded the free word viewer and it said I needed something else so I downloaded something else and then it still wouldn't open it.

So I tried my mom's computer, which is runnin on WindowsXP, still wouldn't open.

Went to the library, won't open on their computers either!

I'm like super upset wondering what to do to get these forms printed. Anyone have any advice? ]

Mine open in Adobe reader 7.0. I don't know if that helps or not.

Hersey, I figured out my problem. I didn't realize that you can't print the store reports until after the event instructions become available. I went back and reread the error message a couple of times and it finally clicked in my head what it was saying. I tried to print the store report for an event that has the instructions up and it worked fine. Sometimes I'm just not the brightest bulb in the box. I was about to go looney, I was like my computer is old but it's got Word, why doesn't this work! LOL Thanks for trying to help. :)

To all of you that got those wretched trash cans in your starter kit that you couldn't figure out how to put together, mine is just a box! LOL You just pop it open, fold down some flaps and put the bag in. I feel blessed after hearing ya'll talk about how hard it was to figure those other ones out. :rotfl:

Princess Michelle I've tried opening the report too before. I just chalk it up for being tired.

I could have used an assistant at todays event. Cutting bars & filling cereal is something you can do while talking. I was actually stirring cake batter while talking to people over my shoulder just so I could try to keep up with the cooking part.

Nuts, just nuts. So many people just took samples while walking by that I didn't even try to talk to them while getting samples out.

Of course, no talking hurts sales. You become just the "lunch lady". Because I couldn't keep up with everything, I let the Mini Warm Delights suffer the most. I ended up leaving a bunch for the Walmart employees in the breakroom.

I think we not only had too many products to demo, we had a huge QUANTITY of samples for 5 hrs.

Oh...and 5 hrs. LOL I ended up swiping out so my receipts would make 5 hrs & then went back to my area to finish cleaning up & do trash.

I went in not in the best of moods. Speaking with another demo lady, I ended up forking over a referral card. A bit later, a customer shows up at my table & says the other demo lady told her to see me for a card for work for her husband. WHAT???!!!! :headache: :headache: :headache: I was livid!!!! They are retirees & leave the area for the winter. I down played this job like I've never down played it. THIS store is mine! Its the one I make money at the most. Grrrrrrrr.

Well, just this last week I had a vey late check--later than it has ever been. It said on the ADP website it had been cut on the 12th (Wed.) Usually I would get it Saturday or Monday but I did not actually get it until Thursday. It was postmarked the 12th as well so I have no idea why it took so darn long to get to me. If it had not come on Thursday I was going to email about it. So maybe hand on an extra day or two???

I SOOOOO hear ya!!! This event was crazy busy trying to keep up with it all-talk to people and do it all on a really too small table. I think I did ok but it was not one I would really want to do as a double again. Setting up and cleaning up seemed to take me forever and having to do it twice-whew! I even forgot to count product at the end of the 2nd event. I have a pretty good idea but it won't be spot on like normal.

I had to pick up a prescription at Walmart after the event was over and the pharmacist must have thought I was nuts...I had to lean on the counter the whole time he was checking out because my feet hurt so darn much and although I tried not to I am pretty sure I was breathing hard from exhaustion!

Wow....you are really nice to even give out a referral card and to have it bite you like that...ouch! I have never given one away because there just aren't that many jobs here and I guess I am being selfish. If someone asks me directly I will tell them either SPI OR MC or I think I once said Mass Communications ;)

I totally know what you mean about the Curves event!! I am absolutely exhausted from it. People seemed to go nuts for the bars but not the warm delights.... All the retirees here are worried about watching their weight. Quite a few thought I worked for Curves and asked me about the workout program. I ended up with a whole box of unopened warm delights at the end. I asked the AM what to do with them and she said "whatever you want." Yippee!! I have about 15 warm delight packages.

I get the retirees who want to offer me suggestions on how to demo. I don't care!! Go away and stop asking me how to get into my company. No! No! I make the most money at this store and I'm not giving that up. :snooty:

I'm not nice, i'm stupid. I gave out cards at far away stores before & no one has applied or been hired that I know of. No points earned.

Just watch, these are the ones that will apply & take my work.

I'm a horrible liar. I can't think quick on the spot & make up stuff. You ask me a question & the truth just comes out.

Splash, just tell them there aren't any openings available right now. There is no way I'm giving any cards out, not locally anyway, I have some friends in other states that I may refer. When I first applied for the job my mom told one of her friends about it and her friend wanted me to give her the info on it and I was like no way mom! Her friend never asked anymore about it, she probably forgot. Anyway, this is a really good deal and selfish or not I'm not going to make it any harder on myself to find events to book.

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto! I was still over nearly 20 minutes on my clock-in/out and another 30 minutes in the store besides that (which I did not report). It was overwelming - I love to be busy, but this was unreal. I used 2 tables, I really needed 3.

There were 3 Sunshine people at my store. One of them had at least 20 samples from my demo and seemed to wander every 20 minutes.

The customers were great today. My store only had the Honey Crunch cereal and they loved it and were telling others to go get some. No one seemed overly impressed with the bars though, they looked sort of dry to me. Everybody loved the Warm Delights - I was not loving them for the work involved - I am doing this next week and I'm measuring a mark on a different measuring cup. It was too hard to fill a tbsp. and a tsp. with a gallon jug.

For anyone who's doing this next week and hasn't done it yet, you absolutely need scissors. I thankfully remembered mine at the last minute and I would've been lost without them.

Boy, I was busier than a one-armed paper hanger today. :lmao: Like others have mentioned I couldn’t get to the Warm Delights as much as I’d like because I was cutting Curves bars. Really didn't get a chance to talk with many people. :upsidedow Too busy cutting, pouring, and baking. Worked a double at Meijer stores today which is a new store for MC. One store was great, the other, well not so great. Like ZanneMarie said this isn’t an event to work a double. It seems like I barely got set up then it was time to pack up and go to the next store. Had a heck of a time getting my hours to not go over 8 for the double. I think it’s still at 8:07 as I’m still getting an error message. Maybe I’ll go back in and edit for about the 5th time.

OMG!!! That's what the Sunflower lady said about me. Now how often do you hear that quote...let alone twice in one day?

I was trying to figure out a way to assembly line the Warm Delights, but couldn't. Best I could do was open 2, mix 2, fudge 2, bake 1, then bake other when needed.

But I did smarten up & open a entire box of bars, unwrap them all & cut them all. Then I just needed to put them on a napkin when needed. :thumbsup2

Oh, the Warm Delights in my kit did not have coupons in them. But the ones on the shelf did. Too bad because the coupons would have helped me. The coupons I did manage to print out for Curves were a big hit, but I didn't have many at all. About 4 total.

The kit I received for Meijer had the coupons. Since I didn't receive my 2nd kit for Meijer, I "borrowed" some Warm Delights from my off-date WM's. Those didn't have coupons on the inside of the box either. Wonder if the coupons in the box were store specific? :confused3
