Ditto the boring event! I was at the back near the baby section. Gave away 6 diapers the first hour. Saw way more employees than customers back there. So I asked if I could move to the front, which was okay, but not near the front door where they had puppies for adoption from the local shelter. Ended up giving all the diapers out, but only because I asked everyone who went by if they wanted one. I amused a lot of elderly couples! I had one man come back and say "why didn't you ask that man if he wanted a diaper like you did me?" pointing to a man who had just walked by. I laughed and told him the man said no thanks before I could ask!
Weird customer of the day: the woman who told me she wasn't a breeder.
Most embarassed: the woman who loudly told her dh the diapers had Pooh on them, then realized what that sounded like!
I've always wondered how the stores "know" about our events. This manager handed me a copy of the email he recieved about the event. It says Kmart and Kimberly Clark will be promoting the Huggies products, the date (might be rescheduled) and the time of the event. Asks to ensure the MC rep has adequate space near the baby toiletries.
Then it lists the product and the kit items. It ends with contact numbers and was sent on 5/11.
