Well, I did Diet Dr Pepper today, Only 9 bottle total, I bought 4 and a couple of 12 packs, Plus with the free coupon I bought 1 vanilla cherry, and one berry cream.... Gave away all the Diet Dr Pepper by 3:00, and then all the other flavors by 4:00, Only had samples left for Vanilla Cherry Diet Dr Pepper by 3:30........ All in all I gave away 15 bottles of drink...... What a boring day, telling everyone they can have a free coupon but no more drinks.... I wasn't at a Super Target, I guess that is why they didn't have any in stock...
oh well, Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar tomorrow.....

Just remember, I only used THREE 2liter bottles!:rotfl2:
Too much going on around here and nice weather equals no shoppers!

Why did they not want you to sample?

He thought I'd be too busy handing out coupons. Last week when I did the diet Pepsi Jazz sodas, I was very busy - it would have been crazy handing out free samples too. But today it wouldn't have been so bad, it was verrrry slow, even for our store.

I am also doing the Balsamic Vinegar tomorrow.

First, Drgnfly30, I see you had to change your siggy pic because of Mr you know who. I feel your pain. You are not alone.

Now, today.
I had the LOGICAL manager today at Target. :thumbsup2 She knew exactly where my kit was. When I told her we had coupons for free bottles, she agreed that setting up near the soda was smarting than setting up as people exit the store. :thumbsup2

She was busy, so I told her I would go to the cooler & see if they chilled anything. Nothing chilled & only 4 bottles on the shelf. Scanned a bottle & it said NO MORE in back room. Uh oh. I went in the back room anyway to get rid of box, & found an ENTIRE PALLET of bottles. :cool1:

Went up front to buy soda (I bought 13 & used a coupon on one of them). Told her about the pallet of soda & she got a kid to put it onto 2 push carts for me. They brought them out & put one near me & another in a corner so I could grab it after.

Stored my purchased bottles in the cooler where OJ & milk is since it was right near me. Put my sign over it so no one would take any. Put a couple of bottles on ice in my cooler near me.

I used 7 of the 13 bottles I bought. I think I tend to give out smaller samples. lol "SOLD OUT" of the 159 bottles during the last hour....then started giving away the extra 6 bottles I had bought. And just sampled after that.
Oh...and in the last week, the customers at this store must have learned what a trash can is. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

And I saw my kit & product for tomorrow. :cool1:
A VERY NICE DAY!!!! :goodvibes

My Diet Dr. Pepper event went by very quickly. :) I called the store Friday as a "heads up" to chill the product. When I arrived, the kit was found in 1 minute and they knew exactly where the chilled product was. Went to the shelf and they only had 7 bottles available for customer purchase. Asked someone in Grocery about it and by 1:20 a Pepsi vendor was there with a pallet of product. He left around 175 bottles by my table and then restocked the shelf. So I really don't have an idea of how much inventory for the beginning or end. Wrote that information on my store report form. Like someone else mentioned, people were skeptical that it was free with coupon. Just told them to grab a coupon and a bottle and take it through the register. Gave out 1/2 half of my coupons and used 9 bottles for sampling. Overall, a good day.

Also, the LOD put a nice comment on my report form.:cool1: Too bad I'm not with SPi for that contest or whatever you guys were talking about a few days ago.

I was just reading over my Event instructions for tomorrow's Archer Farms Coffee and Cookie events and both events state in the conclusion paragraph to discard left over product. Is this something I should do or should I leave for the store to do? I'm not sure I can discard leftover cookies.

REMEMBER TO SET YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD ONE HOUR TONIGHT.
I keep forgetting. :rotfl:

Yikes, I was not thinking it was tonight. Thanks!

I just realized we have thousands of posts in this thread! I can't imagine being a new person and trying to get through them all. :)

I noticed that too the other day & thought the same thing. lol Poor newbies. :rotfl:

Oh man. I just read directions for tomorrows Archer Farms Nut Bars. I did see my kit for Sun while there today....and I checked the shelf for product. BUT I didn't realize until just now that 400 samples were to be delivered to store. Ugh....wish I had read that before. I hope we find them tomorrow.

:sad2:

What the heck are we going to do with 400 opened boxes of bars? That cardboard is sure going to pile up. lol

Woohoo --- no gloves. :woohoo:

Somethings wacky with this. We are getting 400 boxes with 6 bars in each box. We are to give out 1 BAR to each customer. OK, that's a potential of 2400 customers. First of all, I've never had an event (never mind a 4 hr event) even come close to 2400 customers. And question #1 asking how many consumers reached only has choice from 50 to 500??????

Last time we got 400 boxes of bars (3 bars to a box) we were giving away a BOX per customer. I know we aren't giving away a 6pk box per customer.....but just seems like ALOT of product for 4 hrs.

momof296&02 - I’m guessing TMT did not have time to get your MC Card, apron, and hat to you by Saturday. If you were to do the Diet Dr. Pepper at Target, the kit which would include your table, was to be sent directly to the store. When you booked this “first” event, did TMT give you your user id and password? If so, you can go on to ebooking and check for events yourself. Otherwise, you may want to monitor this thread as new events are typically shared here and then call TMT yourself.

Thanks for your reply. I did not get my user id & password. TMT told me I have to be booked & I thought I was booked but they said it didn't count?? I try & read this board often & I have not seen or heard about any NY events. Has anyone?

Do we have to set up in Food Avenue for Target?

Food Avenue is in an area that nobody goes in unless they are leaving the store, and it is impossible to sell anything there.

I try to apply logic when discussing location with manager over that issue....it doesn' always work. There seems to be one manager in particular that just won't budge over me moving. Others, a bit more flexible depending on situation....but not always.

Just talk to them, present your reasoning...and cross your fingers. Don't argue though. Just give up if they don't get it. And when customers comment to you that its a stupid location, smile & say the manager wanted me to set up here. And send them to the manager to complain if they want. :)

Oh...and I don't physically set up IN food ave. Its just way too small at this store. Its not possible. No one would be able to get by me between my table & their tables. I set up at the entrance to Food Ave along the 1/2 wall. (also as people are leaving store)

And when that happens & I don't sell anything...I state the reason at the bottom of the report form.

REMEMBER TO SET YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD ONE HOUR TONIGHT.
Just one last reminder before I head off to bed -- for those that don't go back a page.

whew....I did it! I read all 300+ pages!

I'm finally signed up with Mass Connections and ready to book jobs. This has been a long process for me. I first did the paperwork back when this thread took off but got sidetracked :headache: I wish I had started ages ago! Sounds like you guys have made money and had some fun along the way!

Good morning hopefully everyone remembered about the time. I forgot, I don't know how.

Hopefully everyone's events go well today. Today Archer farm cookies. I'm always nervous when the kits go to the store. I do hope they got it. This ST is really on the ball.

I am up. I wish we always would just gain an hour with Daylight Savings Time, I like gaining it. :) Not losing!

I have the Archer Farm Balsamic today.
