No, you don't.
But you never have an event not run due to product issues.. the demo captain /LOD will find something for you to demo.
Not having to bring anything but hat and MC card is great.
 
They keep adding dates that I already have.... I must have missed a couple this afternoon.... Oh well, Maybe later they will have a couple more for December...........
 
I was just wondering if I need a table cloth for the Wal Mart Grand opening event/??? also do I really need a bow tie for this event?? Just wondering, I haven't read it anywhere but on the standard instructions//// HELP!! it is tomorrow.. No table cloth No bow tie...........

You can pick up an inexpensive vinyl table cloth for .97. I do not wear a bow tie but I do make sure my attire is pretty on point. There are a lot of corporate execs at Grand opening. I have had my pic and table display taken at Grand openings. They are fun but the chances of being audited or just corporate reporting you are really High. I like the last one I did and it went by pretty fast with all of the festivities going on. This one seems to be really easy because of all the samples we are giving out.
 

Do you think Wal Mart with have a table cloth, I will have to buy one early in the morning........ Just a plain white one??? SHould I wear a button up shirt tomorrow???

Bring your own tablecloth. I have never had one supplied by Walmart or any place else. However at the grand opening I worked at a Walmart in June, we didn't even use tables. They had use walking around the store with mobile units. Obviously no tablecloth then. What do your directions say?

And yes. We are always required to wear a button up white shirt unless you are provided with another shirt in your kit specially for that demo.

OMG....we got wine events in MA. Wet ones too!! NEVER thought THAT would happen with all the uptight rules here.

Now here's an odd thing. While looking at Craigslist for my area, under Gigs / Events.... I've seen a company (not MC) advertising $18/hr for wine events at undisclosed liquor stores ...and they mention in "area" of a couple of towns. They want females, over 21 & head shots.

Well.... at least 1 of the MC wine events is in 1 of the towns listed on Craigslist. hmmmmmm

I haven't checked MC in about 2 days for new jobs, so I don't know when they were listed & if others have been booked up.

Unfortunately, one I MIGHT have taken for 11/17 is the same day I'm doing the pear event. Others are further away on all sorts of dates.

Stores are BJ's wholesale & local liquor stores.

If instructions do not say to bring a tableclothe, then you do not need one. Does your kit have posters for the front of the table? You would want to stick them to the table & not the tableclothe.

I've only needed a table clothe very few times.....mostly when I didn't receive a kit at all & I didn't have posters, so I wanted to hide the front of table.

Dollar Stores are great places to get tableclothes. They are white plastic & so large....that you cut in half & you get 2 tableclothes for $1 out of it.
 
New events up. LOTS of KMARTS for 12/9 (Sat) from 11-4 for Suave Hair Holiday Demo.

PLEASE REMIND ME I DON'T WANT TO BE IN A STORE ON A SATURDAY IN DECEMBER. I might be stupid & book this. :rotfl:

Wine events are just too far to book. And I don't really even drink alcohol. :rotfl: I would be like a fish out of water.
 
I got my email saying they would recommend me for hire with SPi.

About how long does it take for SPi to contact you?
 
Thanks all, I will just wait and see when I get there what they want me to do. My son helped me set up the table last night to see how it was done. It really does look like it needs a table cloth... Oh well.... It is bright and early and I have to get the kids ready for school and then off to do Kimberly Clark stuff today... I get to wear a yellow visor and yellow vest... How cute is that.. Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Oh it takes about 3 weeks to really get started..... At least that is how long it took me.... I had to wait for a phone call than it took about 1 week or so later before I got my password... good luck.....

for me it took about 2 weeks-- I recieved a packet with my login info and a card--- I never recieved a phone call from them
 
I have a "mystery" job today at ST. The demo will be "determined by Deli Manager".
At least I know there won't be any product issues. But I do like to know in advance what I'll talking about! On the positive side, no prep time and only need my card!
No new jobs for my state.
 
If it's like my ST, the deli manager will be totally taken by surprise that you are coming, and you'll end up demoing something like potato salad. :)
 
Eww, I hope no potato salad!!! I don't like it, and I HATE the smell of it.
It'll be interesting to see what I end up with!
 
Well, No box, Nothing, No Clue.... No Answer from anyone..... Had to come home.... 15 miles in traffic this morning.... Oh well.... Hopefully I will get an answer soon, I tried to call, no one knows anything.. I think my box went to the wrong location... They gave me the wrong address and just changed it last night..... Did I do right by coming home......????
Oh what a day, Now to get ready for my night job......

No new events here!!! I did email Robin at SPi and ask if the next kit for 11/18 would be mailed to me and she said yes. She also said that instructions would be up that week AND my current card I have to swipe WILL work! We'll see on 11/18 I guess! :rolleyes:
 
Ok so i went to the adp site to check on my paycheck and it shold be for one evetn at $28 dollars due to i was unable to execute the event since no kit. Well anyway i look at its for $84 thats 28x3.....i wish this was so cuz we could sure use the extra money but alas another emial to spi and payroll....(sigh) anybody else have this problem???
 
I thought I was the only one. I looked up my check on ADP this morning and I got 3x my pay too :teeth: Are we getting a bonus. :rolleyes:
