I'm so jealous of all you guys with all your events. I live in Ohio and only one event in one city 150 miles from me is listed in the next 20 days.

I too am jealous. Even though I don't have my login and password yet, a kind board member has checked for me and there has only been one event in my area in the last week and it was grabbed quickly. I thought living in the capital city with a hundred WM's and ST's/Targets there would be plenty of opportunities.

When I was hired MC said it would be 10-12 days before I'd here from my assigned agency (TMT). Well, today is day 10 and no word from them yet. Guess I'd better email them incase something does open up.

My MC card didn't work for swipe out either. I called TMT and spoke to Patrick. He said that he had a bunch of calls from the Barber Foods event and people not being able to swipe out. I have this save event on Monday as an off date booking. I hope they fix the problem by then. I can just see them docking us for something that was their fault.

Susan, I'm with SPI, so don't know if your card will do the same, but I thought I would mention it in case.

When doing an event on MONDAY, activate your card Monday morning, NOT ON SUNDAY NIGHT. They wipe the computer clean of any activated cards on Sunday nights & when you go to swipe in on Monday, your card won't work.

I ALWAYS SEEM TO FORGET THIS. Then I'm standing at register on my cell phone trying to quickly re-activate card while people are glaring at me.

So, just remember, do it Monday before you leave for event.

I'm a complusive lunatic I just booked another wine event (that makes 9)... it's the Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving, so I have to take a 1/2 day from my real job... after I booked it I felt guilty, but I'd feel guiltier if I unbooked... what the heck is wrong with me?? I also booked a 12-4 that Saturday, which happens to be the day of my 20th high school reunion... when the heck am I going to have the time to get a manicure, pedicure & my hair done ?!?!

This crazy thinking comes over me when I see a new event come up... "What if there are no more events ever again... I must book everything I see NOW!"

Hi Christine, I need a 12 step program aswell. Know how bad I am.. I booked a wine event on the day we are having a christmas party I was going to roast a turkey and all that jazz, I told my hubby just pick up some deli trays from Costco and call it a day, I have to work man I can't get over the rush of knowing I can be their demoing and like you said it may not be any more for the rest of the month. Oh well what are we going to do, is there an effective cure for this?

Nuking chicken was fast and fun, my biggest thing is the employees always want to make a meal of the samples. And you better believe yesterday it was worst, even the frozen food manager kept swiping samples. He kept asking me would I demo some some hot pockets because he has a whole pallet back there that needed to go

I have a grand opening next Wednesday, I will get to give out tampons and kleenex No table just a mobile unit

I got my box today but there are no coupons in the box, It says that there should be coupons in the box along with the poster,,, What should I do??? Should I email someone and let them know.... Thanks...

Aww, you're so sweet for asking.
Spent the day holding onto a bowl and moaning.. yeah.. it wasn't a good day.

Drank flat ginger ale (My DH went to the store at 10:00 pm and bought me a bunch of stuff to drink.. he's a sweetie and hates it when I am sick) and so far have been ok.

But I'm cancelling my 3-7 today, weak and feverish. Hopefully will be fine for the weekend.

ST demo tables have a clip edge on the front of the table. I usually tuck it under the edger and pull the adhesive strip on the poster just a few inches on each side to hold in place.

Run without the coupons.. not nearly as fun but it's not your fault that they were not sent.

Well, that sounds fun. Maybe you picked up a bug from the germy public. I was going to suggest cola syrup. You can get it at drugstore. It really helps with nauseau. Sip it over crushed ice. BUT, its all caffeine & keeps you up all night. lol Glad you are feeling better. Good idea to take today to rest some more.

I've been using hand sanitizer like crazy lately at demos. No idea why. I don't even think of germs anywhere else, like WDW, stores....... Guess I'm just remembering that when I used to work more directly with the public in the past, I just always ended up sick for Thanksgiving & Christmas it seems.

Thanks for the tip, Splsh. This will be my first "Monday Event", so that is good to know.

ST is good about lower the prices on the product that are to be feature so most of the time you just say that Target has cut the prices today on said product. Hope you are having fun over there with Mrs. Fannie and the gang Also about clipping poster to the table sometimes they don't like that they just say make a attractive display with product but it depends just ask Bart and see what he says.

I'm sooo excited I have my first event set up for November 22(off date). It's at our local Walmart from 11-4. I don't remember exactly what he said but it's some type of salad dressing. I hope my new hire kit comes fast. We leave for our cruise next Friday.
Any suggestions as far as things to do before the event??????? As far as checking stock and other things. I will need groceries when we get home so I'll scope things out before. Should I talk to one of the managers beforehand???

Did you know you can edit the photo you originally submitted? I hated the one I had sent in, but at the time, it really was all I had. It had been cropped out of a WDW vacation photo....long day, no make-up.

Well, I just cropped a new one of me out of a recent NH fall outdoor wedding. And I went to profile page & replaced the photo.

I look so much younger now.

I called and unbooked due to illness for Friday demo, went to double check instructions for Saturday and found that not only had they unbooked me for Friday at 7:38 am (as requested) but they unbooked me at 7:41 and rebooked me at 7:42 for my Saturday event.

Obviously not a mistake of clicking on wrong day. Is that "punishment" for calling in? Now they won't pay me for ebooking!

I noticed they didn't list anything under unbook on Thursday when DH left a detailed message that I was ill. Hope that was not counted as "no show" just because they are too lazy to answer the phone in the morning.

Guess I will add a note when I send in forms.

TMT is just awful about doing things like this.
They screwed up another lady's pay when they accidentally unbooked and rebooked her. They dock pay if you clock out too early. They rebook you, after you unbook online, and don't tell you.
I'm always there and do a good job.. it's unfortunate that I was sick this week and DS was sick one day last week. Makes me look bad ?

Can you unbook what they did, and rebook again? I know you aren't supposed to unbook and such, but it seems better than getting a reduced pay. I haven't had this issue - yet.

I finally got my welcome to SPi e-mail but still no jobs posted for Ohio. Does anyone know why there would be no jobs at all for Ohio? I previously worked for Talent Marketing Group before they lost their contract and there were always lots of jobs.
